Excellent coffee and espresso drinks. They have a roaster here and sell beans. They have a La Marzocco espresso machine and will do a traditional cappuccino or espresso machiatto (a shot with a bit of foam) and give you seltzer water with it to cut the acidity (as in a high-end espresso shop in Italy). There is a large pour-over set-up if you want drip coffee, and you can usually choose from several different types of single-origin beans. They also have some good pastries, but dont expect to get lunch here as its just coffee/tea and a few baked goods. The baristas are very knowledgeable about coffee. They have a barista training center here, where you can go to do a coffee tasting on Fridays at 10am. You can study or do work here although there are only a few bigger tables; most are very tiny. There are many outlets though. The decor is white and wood, and very modern/clean. The music they play tends to be more modern/electronic type stuff although they do change it up. Its a good place to focus and get some work done. You do have to plug a meter though, unless its Sunday or after 5pm.

I was supremely disappointed with this local roaster. They offer coffee beans at premium prices. They even print a roasted date on the bags. This should instill confidence in the freshness of the coffee. When fresh roasted coffee is brewed it will release carbon dioxide bubbles the same way coke does when you pour it into a glass. This will happen for up to two weeks past the roast date. And when you do manual pour over rather than automatic drip brews you get to see this happening. I bought two small bags of whole beans from them. Both were single origin coffees. One was roasted to a City+ and the other to a City level. The roast dates on the bags were a day apart and no more than three days earlier than the purchase date. When I brewed both coffees there was no sign of carbon dioxide being released from either coffee and the taste of both was flat and unremarkable as would be expected from stale coffee. I believe that OCR printed false roasting dates on these coffees and sold them at full price as fresh roasted, hoping their customers would be too ignorant to know the difference.

Sum up: Great roasts. Friendly baristas. Good vibe. Wish there were more options. Pros: Their coffee beans are really nice I bought a bag of them and quite like them. The shop has a well lit and comfortable vibe. The staff are really friendly and informative. I ended up running into one of the baristas in Montana and he was just as friendly outside of work. They do cupping on Fridays which are open to the public. I have been wanting to go but live about 2 hrs away so I sadly havent gotten the chance. Cons: Maybe I have missed it but I have never seen any flavored syrup options when I have been there which makes me sad. Another con which isnt under their control is I really hate downtown Olympia; it is really really sketchy. I cant walk from my car to a shop without being asked for $ or cigarettes a few times. This makes me not want to work or stay at Olympia CRC too long though because I get a lot of anxiety about my car getting vandalized because I have to park it on the street out of eye shot

I ordered a vanilla latte. It was absolutely delicious, if overpriced. That earned them three stars. The seating was the most awkward and uncomfortable work of impressionist art Ive ever set on with the bench too narrow to sit on without leaning forward and the back slanted away from your back at an angle that leaves you slightly reclined and sliding off the bench. The tables are round stool-sized faux wood except for two long tables that have one end anchored too far from the bench and just one stool that looks like a tree trunk that broke, including jags and dips that make it impossible to use as seating or as a table, I think they were intended as ottomans. The music is loud, new-age reggae that is utterly intrusive, even with sound cancelling over the ear headphones on, and forget holding an actual conversation. The wifi also refused to connect to my computer, my wifes computer, or our phone. That lost one of the stars the coffee earned.

If you prefer your coffee or espresso drink to be savored for what it is, this is the place for you. The menu is short but big on appreciating the arts and science behind coffee. Small pastries are available. The lounge area is bright and wide open. The facility also duals as a training location for new baristas and coffee storage (separated from customers by a wall of windows). Highly recommend trying the nitro brew and coffee beer.

These folks are wizards of coffee & Im not shy about passing the word to fellow coffee snobs! They deserve every national awards theyve won over the years! They are seriously the best of the best! OCR bean roasts are consistent (my fav is Big Truck), baristas ALL experts in their field, & drinks are predictably smooth, bold, rich, balanced, and perfectly textured; delicious every time...and no, Im not "mom."

Really great coffee. I stopped there on my way to Olympic National Park. They have different espresso beans and blends and clearly know what they are doing. Behind the counter you can watch them roasting the beans. They deserve the prices that they have won for their coffee! Try also one of the snacks they are selling. The extremely friendly staff will for sure be able to help you with choosing.

This is a high quality place to get a serious cup of coffee. If youre looking for frilly sweet drinks, go somewhere else. This is a place to get the highest quality of coffee and espresso drinks, and the beans dont need to be masked with sugar to make the drinks taste good. The atmosphere is very hip, and the baristas all know what theyre doing. The pastries are all to die for as well.

What can I say about this place? Well, you have some of the best roasters in the county here. You have a company that prides itself in selecting the BEST coffee for its customers. You have some of the best baristas in the area, including one who is the fifth best coffee brewer in the country! I could go on and on about this awesome place!!

The coffee served here is among the best Olympia has, and its quite obvious the care that taken into every inch of the shop and every step of the coffee brewing process. What the coffee shop lacks is just comfortable seating. Really, if they nail that, Id much more say "for here" as opposed to "to go."

One of the best coffees in town, in the State, possibly the country. You go here if you like coffee, not the things that go with or in your coffee. A little spendy, and done their way but worth the price if you want to purchase a quality beverage and dont need sugaring or customization.

Whenever I pass through I make sure to stop by this coffee shop. Their chocolate and vanilla syrups are house made. Last time I tried out their nitro cold brew and it was delicious and smooth. It can get a little busy with people lounging about on laptops or just enjoying a sit down.

Great staff, amazing coffee, incredible passion behind the team at Olympia Coffee Roasters. We used to live right down the street and I miss my consistent visits, but 3,000 miles away I still order regularly. Love this place, IMO among the best coffee you can get in the U.S.
