I am attempting to contact someone in corporate department who handles customer complaints. On Saturday, September 12th, 2015 I shopped at your 27077 MapleValley-Black Diamond Rd SE Maple Valley, WA 98038 location. Upon checking out I explained to my cashier, Elizabeth whom had a very professional looking hickey on her neck, that I am recovering from foot surgery and needed to get home to rest. I asked her what the return policy was because I was hoping to try on the clothes at home and if any of them did not fit I wanted to know I could return them. Elizabeth informed me that I would get my money back as long as I had the receipt and the tags were not removed. I specifically asked her if I would be receiving cash or a return on my debit card and she informed me I could do whichever would be easiest for me. Out of 12 items purchased 4 items did not fit properly and I returned to the same Maple Valley store on Sunday, September 13th 2015, about 11 in the morning to return those 4 items. The cashier was very friendly and processed my returns but then I was taken aback when she said I would be receiving my return as store credit. I expressed how an employee and informed me else wise just the night prior and that I wished to speak with a manager. I ended up speaking with Greg who appeared to have absolutely zero empathy and completely disregarded my complaints in terms of having employees of your company sell me merchandise under false pretenses. Instead of handling a customer service issue in a professional way I felt Greg was accusing me of trying to steel as he stated to me, in front of other customers in line, that he cant prove I didnt take tags off of clothes and reattach them to my clothes to try and make a quick buck!! Are you serious?? I purchased 12 items from your not even 24 hours prior and am attempting to return FOUR because YOUR EMPLOYEE assured me that I could return said items should they not suit my needs and get MY MONEY BACK AS CASH OR DEBIT provided I do so with seven days and tags are still attached. This has been a horrible experience and as someone who was worked in retail and customer service my entire life I can not believe the lack of respect towards your customers. I asked Greg for the corporate number and he instead gave me the number to the donations hotline. Matt Tennancour

Today, I am confused...My 14 year old son who is a mixed child of African American and Filipino, along with his friends - one who is Korean and the other Mexican. These 3 boys went into the Goodwill Maple Valley Location to shop and was told by a white supervisor they had to leave the store because he "didnt like the way they shopped"...after my son called me, I immediately called the store and spoke to a supervisor named, Gary. For reasons why this happened, his responses were not acceptable. These boys were NOT loud, did not cause any trouble at all. These 3 boys are good kids. They were asked to leave because the manager did not like the way they shopped???? His other reasons were also, due to a previous incident with Black and Hispanic kids where supposedly those kids were asked NOT to return to the store. So is this what is expected to happen to other kids of color each time they go in to the Maple Valley Goodwill? If so, this is racial profiling. My son and his friends DID NOT deserve this kind of treatment. I demand they apologize to these 3 boys.

This is the best Goodwill store ever. Clean, bright, wide aisles. The clothing is clean, pressed, not torn or stained. No big tables full of junk, just nicely hung clothing by size and style. Many things I have found still have price tags on them, meaning never worn. High quality, name brands. Lots of very nice furniture, artwork, kitchen supplies, decor items, and the bedding and linens department is superb. I have furnished my home with many items from this store. I could shop at high end expensive stores, but I love saving money and getting wonderful merchandise in the process.

Very nice kids clothes, toys, games and books. Organized and fairly clean. Prices for most clothes were $5.99-$12.99...ouch! Teen books dont need to be charged adult prices. Goodwill cooperation in general is getting greedy and those in need of affordable materials are NOW limited. I purchase and donate to goodwill...I wish theyd stop asking to "round up for job training" since the price tags have already been rounded up from FREE. This obviously isnt just a MV issue.

Terrible terrible terrible. So rude- so over priced. One employee yelled at my two year old. There is not a single time I have gone there they havent turned me and those in front of me away. 1yr old Ashley sofa "had loose strings" they "didnt have time to trim". So I sold it for $200 instead. High end dog gate said for a dog on it- she said no bc could also be a baby gate. I now go to other places to donate.

I have both shopped at and donated at this location. The store is clean and has great deals. I never walk out empty handed. When I donate her there is this one guy that always comes out to my SUV running and ready ti go, I think his name is Seth but this kid works hard and for a small guy he is as strong as an ox. All in all a great store.

Great experience in the store. When I went around to the back of the building to donate two bags of clothes no one helped me. I waited over 5 minutes and made eye contact with 3 employees who just continued to do what they were doing. I ended up leaving and donating the clothes at Value Village.

For the most part, customer service is decent and I usually walk out buying something. Unfortunately, prices are as much, sometimes more for more than used items. It turns people off from wanting to purchase anything...not if you can get it new or better quality/condition elsewhere.

The prices are ridiculous for used stuff that they just get dropped off. I saw patio furniture that I had donated for the and price that I had bought it brand new 4 years earlier and it wasnt even cleaned off. Kids toy prices kill me too. Geeze!

I have found so many nice high end items there for amazing prices, the staff is helpful and friendly plus they are going through a remodel that will be very nice. I talk about this place all the time as I always find what I am looking for.

Do you want to go on a treasure hunt? Heres a great place to start with. Gently used merchandise at low, low prices. They have books and small appliances, in addition to clothing for men women and children.

this place is expensive! Proof? i often see a lower priced retail price tag underneath/next to a higher priced goodwill price tag. also there is 50% or more "new cheap dollar store" items.
