Between my father and I, weve spent about $3k over the last few years buying boots from this guy. Have always had a great experience but this last time in when going to make my $340 boot order, David the owner brushed me off and was very rude. He acted too busy for to give me any help. When I asked if he carried the boot I normally get in black still he said no and walked in the back. When he popped out I told him Id be needing to find a new boot and he didnt say anything and kept doing his own thing. All my previous times in the shop he had been very helpful in finding me the boot I want and/or getting it ordered. Also the younger guys who work their have always greeted us by name and have been helpful. This though, has changed my opinion about David and he has lost my business as well as my fathers business from here on out which will be a lot of business as we are a Red Wing family. If I could rate him zero stars for this encounter I would.

You can spend a lot more on boots some other places... but youd be hard pressed to get much better quality or any better value for your money. The boots have *literally* changed my life for the better - my feet dont hurt anymore after a long day. I also want to give a shout out to Matt who works there (at least I think its Matt - thats the name on my receipt anyway) - he helped fit me 6+ months ago, guided me toward the right boots (he even showed me the wrong boots when I insisted on seeing them), was very friendly and professional, and is always helpful when I come in for boot oiling. The other guy that works there isnt bad at all, but Matt really does a superlative job.

Nice clean store, Reid(customer service) was very friendly, helpful, and down to earth. Help me fit the perfect pair of steel toe boots. Always my 1st choice for work boots. If youve never been. This is the choice for much better selection of sizes and quality. Especially for xwide sizes. Dont ever settle for the wrong width and size work boots. In my opinion, killing your feet breaking in a pair of work boots is a myth. Warrantied boots, resoling, oils, treatments, protectents, socks. Red Wing labeled socks have always been a bit pricey. Thats about my only half a star subtraction.

Worst customer service Ive ever experienced in my life. Bought a pair of boots from a different store and they hurt my feet so I brought them in to return and both the store employee and the owner were quite rude and wouldnt give me a return even thou I was still within the 30 day comfort guarantee. I ended up going to a Red wing store near south center mall and met a very nice lady who was quite helpful. Returned the boots and I came back later and was properly fitted and my feat are happy. I suggest staying away from Federal Way. :(

Red Wing insoles add longevity to any shoe I buy. The $50 insole will last a couple of years and extends the life of my "cheaper" shoes, making them fit my feet better and way more comfortable. The best work boots are available here but be prepared to pay for the quality.

Needed steel toe work boots. Never tried Red Wing style. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this location. Locally owned so it feels good to support the local community. I will be back.
