Very disappointed today when we made a special trip from Lakeland Hills to Buckley to donate to the Rainier Thrift and Gift and were ungraciously met by a woman who came to the donation door when we rang the bell. She said they had too many donations so couldnt take ours and told us to "look at all the stuff piled up outside" and proceeded to close the garage door in front of us. Hey, we were just trying to help the school! We have plenty of other organizations that we can donate to. Seems like a nicer way of stating the situation would be more like...thank you for thinking of Rainier Thrift for your donations. However, due to a large volume of donations, we do not have space for any additional merchandise. We are sorry to have to turn you away and I hope you will remember us in the future. ~~~~ We hope donations to Rainier Thrift continue to be abundant for you in support of the school. Weve been taking our donations to Rainier Thrift ever since we moved to Lakeland Hills. However, we wont be traveling all the way there in the future just to be turned away. Total waste of an hour driving up and back just to be turned away.

This is the best kept secret when it comes to 2nd hand stores. Not only are you supporting a great cause but the store has some of the best deals you will ever find on clothes, books, furniture and miscellaneous items. For instance a bag full of books for a $1 when they put them on sale. They have specials every day and I defy you to find any 2nd hand store that can beat their prices.

Seasonal items are a great score here. They also sell garden art items made by the Rainier State School residents. They are super cute and for a great cause. The other thrift stores are big enough that they get tons of donations, so I always save my best donations for here.

Love donating to a great cause. Had a lot of large items and they have a pick up service. The staff and helpers were great. If you dont know about the awesome place this benefits for the mentally challenged....ask. The prices are the best!

Great bargains and I love that the residents at the Rainier School help there also. Everything is kept neat and clean. Staff is always helpful and welcoming. What a worthwhile cause to support!
