The owner, Santo Roman, is extremely personable and very knowledgeable without feeling he needs to intimidate those of us who just want a nice bottle of wine. He has a red and white Japanese Chin named Cosimo who often keeps him company in the shop. The store is devoted to European wines, and Santo can make recommendations according to your preferred price, flavor profile, region. I have had lovely ten dollar bottles from here, and wonderful bottles at several times that price. There are frequent wine tastings, and an email list that will let you know about their schedule. Many tastings are free, some free with a purchase, and a few have a small cost. Stop in for a look around. Dont let a lack of wine savvy stop you...just put yourself in the proprietors kindly hands, and you will be on your way!

Ive been going here since it opened and dont buy wine anywhere else! The owner, Santo, is great. He knows more about wine than anyone Ive ever met, but isnt a snob. That also means that he has great connections in the wine world and is able to get bottles you dont see many other places and offer unique tastings. If you go in asking for a recommendation, you will have your choice from $12 bottles all the way up to bottles that are $1K, just tell him your budget. He is also a proponent of grower champagne and estate wines, which is great.

Old world wine. Owner is awesome. Holds regular tastings of amazing juice. If you like wine this is a must go to. Knowledgable. Inexpensive to as much as you want to spend. Great stuff.
