Today being casually dressed without caring to put makeup on I was falsely accused of shoplifting while minding my own business and browsing in the middle of the skincare department :/ the "security guard" (white, light hair, skinny-ish, about 57 middle aged man) appeared very nervous and at first I couldnt understand what he wanted from me (unless he actually was a security guard? he showed some badge without introducing himself), he said one of the workers saw me put some product in my pocket so I had to empty my pockets and prove I didnt do anything. He wasnt acting like a professional in case he is a real security guy, and wasnt stating things clearly. I was very upset, so Im not going back to this store.

Its Whole Foods, so you should know what that means already before going to this particular location (whether that is good or bad for you). In terms of this store, I think its generally pretty good. Ive gotten good service at all departments when Ive asked, and the checkout help has been consistently polite. One kind employee has even said how seeing my young daughter "warms her heart" (her words!) every time she sees her. Pretty nice people I think! There is a hint of Berkeley Bowl here with the parking and traffic complexity, and a touch of patron haughtiness, but hey, its Bellevue, yo! Its all pretty mild and tolerable.

Whole foods Market has a very wide selection of quality fresh goods, meats and seafoods, wide selection of prepared gourmet foods, wine, imported cheeses, pastries, deli, vitamins and much more. Many products are organic. I found the cow cheeses to often to be borderline overripe, smelling of ammonia(brownish/grey skins are a telltales). I realize its not easy to maintain such wide variety of cheeses but in France, no ammonia is tolerated in cheese shops there. The biggest challenge I have with Whole Foods is their pricing which is generally 3-50% above most other competing store like the QFC at Bellevue Square.

I just went to Whole Foods around 6 pm. There were about three registers open and lines 15 people deep. When I get to the customer service line, he bags my 6 pack Zevia sodas in two different bags without double bagging. I instantly knew this not good but with so many people waiting and with my three children, I held the bags by the bottom. We get home to unload and immediately bags break as soon as we lifted them. Called to let them know and they didnt even offer to replace. TRADER JOES WOULD NEVER TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS THIS WAY. I wont return.

The Bellevue Whole Foods has one major issue: parking access. A few years back, you could access the store from two directions easily; after they blocked the 116th Ave exit from one direction, things got more challenging. Once you fight your way through a sea of Bellevuemobiles (this year: Lexus 400h), its a well set-up Whole Foods, with helpful staff and plenty of locally sourced produce. Things can definitely get expensive, but search carefully and ask around for help. Then again, they sell Askinosie chocolate, so I cant complain too much.

Whole Foods catering did a wonderful job for us on very short notice. We had to have a reception for a memorial service and called them on Saturday to arrange for some catered food for Monday, Memorial Day. They accomodated our early morning pickup and did a splendid job of preparing the food. We ordered the petite baquetted sandwich tray, cheese platter and crudites and we had plenty of food for the 24 in attendance....with lots to take home...which was nice. Thank you for doing such a splendid job and being so helpful.

My least favorite WF. Often bad service here, over crowded and some pretentious checkers. Asked bagger to put my only TWO cold items (out of many items) together, and she couldnt even do that. Nor did she wrap my fish separately in a plastic bag for food safety. And I swear, the checker was straight out of an episode of South Park. (You know, the Whole Foods one). Think I will return all my stuff in the fish bag and head to Madison Market or QFC, or drive over to PCC, where the service and atmosphere are much better.

I think my health is more important that a cheap $1.00 hamburger so I shop at whole foods weekly...Sure, its pricy but that is what you pay for better, organic food. I would rather spend my $ on quality food and not a $150 sweater. The store is beautiful, clean, has a wonderful selection of veggies, spices, fish, chicken, drinks, etc. I can walk the aisles for a day and still not see everything... They also have a large selection of Gluten Free foods and their bins are great. They even have stuff on sale!

Oh wow! Ive been meaning to try Rainbow Acres for some time. For some odd reason, I expected it to be some small health store. Boy, was I wrong, this place is humongous. They had everything from hot foods, smoothies, vitamins, fresh fruits, incense to pet food. Ill definitely return to Rainbow Acres when Im in the area. Back to the hot foods, try the Spanakopitas (it was my first time having one, lets just say its a good thing I dont live close by...theyre like crack). Oh yeah, and the chicken is great too.

I like shopping at Whole Foods and like their fresh fish. But when I get fish, and they are quite pricey, and ask them to remove the skin, they do a terrible job. Even after requesting them to train their fish handlers, they just dont know how to skin the fish. Uwajimaya is very close to the Bellevue location that I shop at. They should go by Uwajimaya and see what a great job Uwajimaya does in skinning fish! I am thinking of going back to Uwajimaya for fish.

LARGE store with many unique items, including ramen/teriyaki hot station, delectable bakery, and a sandwich bar that is the BEST I have been to in a whole foods (includes Orlando FL, Greenville sc, Washington DC, Boise, Portland all of which dont come close)... Parking and crowds can be overwhelming on Sundays, probably the biggest negative... And difficult to get anything without spending 40 bucks, but hey its WF and you already knew that

Shopped here for years, the parking lot is a zoo most of the time! Over time the management became strange and employee turnover soared. By the time I stopped shopping here I barely knew anyone from when Meg & I started shopping there a few years earlier. The products are awesome, many are priced accordingly. I like the Redmond Store much better! If you are looking for a good value try sticking to their house 360 brand!

As whole foods go this is mediocre. They have not figured out their prepared foods. Breakfast has gone from decent to bad. They are clearly trying to optimize good usage for profit margin vs making good food. The breakfast burritos are stuffed with potatoes and now their breakfast sandwiches stopped trying. They use their poached eggs vs frying them. I hope they will turn it around but am not holding. My breath.

As a guest of the hotel in the floors above, having Whole Foods in the building is the height of convenience. This location is larger than it looks and houses everything you could ever want, from coffee to lunch to dinner. While its a busy location, lines move quickly, especially at the coffee bar where the baristas do a great job of keeping up. Needless to say, its aint cheap - but you knew that already.
