My experience with Discount Audio in Winchester was more than satisfactory. Tom was very pleasant and professional, while Craig the technician did a first-class job of hooking up my midrange-subwoofer speakers in my 2010 Ranger XL Regular Cab. Craig spent time with me adjusting the rear subs before i drove off, and the price that Tom quoted me for the job was the price I paid in the end. Tom gets right back to you when you send him an email, something many businesses that have online presences do not do to my amazement; I have three website myself. Granted, some people may have had a difference experience, but writing a positive review takes time, and many times very satisfied customers just do not take the time to do so. There is a waiting area, my job took about two hours, but Craig may have been multi-tasking during that time. I was only charged for the one hour of work. Love the sound of my new audio hook-up, had put Rockford-Fosgates in the front door panels of the Ranger ( they sell this brand also ) and ditched the factory OEM speakers made in Mexico. Going back for another install job this week. Give them a try. The salesman or men may have had a bad day on some of these reviews. No business is perfect all the time, just has to be most of the time to have hundreds or thousands of satisfied customers.

So I wanted to have my door speakers, Dynamat, and headunit installed professionally. I took my truck in to get an estimate and right off the bat the salesperson Gill was rude and unprofessional. He came out and looked at my truck and in a angry tone asked why I didn't buy the speakers and headunit from them, because I got them quoted at DOUBLE what I could get them online and I'm not trying to spend anymore money than I have to. After he said that he slammed my door and walked inside to finish the quote. He threw off his jacket and was wanted me to pay 997 dollars for hu, speaker, and Dynamat installed and I was shocked! He then told me if I bought through them the install would be much cheaper, I should have talked to the manager but I figured if they hire incompetent, insulting sales personnel that reflects on the management as well. By the way the quoted install was over double what I paid for all my equipment! I am in the process by myself and my brother of DIY to not get ripped off by these idiotic con artists. I advise you to not conduct business with winchester discount audio and have advised all of my family and friends. I calculated the estimated cost at an hourly rate which came out to over 150 an hour on a easy installation with no custom fabrication or drilling etc.- Joseph

I’ve got a 2010 Chevy impala and a 2010 c300 Benz. Winchester Discount Audio has worked on both cars. What I got done: On the Impala I installed the avh-4100 my self but couldn’t figure out how to run the backup camera cable from the trunk to the main cab so that was done here. The install of an aftermarket radio on my c300 is outside of my comfort level so based on the stellar work done on my impala I came back this time for the avh-4201 unit which includes the backup camera. Cost: The labor costs for both installs was below market based on calls to other businessess in the area. The head unit was the only retail item I purchased from them it was listed at retail (same price on amazon). Quality: The installs on both cars went smoothly. I had to revisit the shop to have them bypass a feature on my Benz for better use of my new radio and the labor performed on my second visit was free of charge.

My son and I have had the pleasure of speaking with Tom (owner) at Winchester Discount Audio on at least 6 occasions over the past 4 years. He is without question one of the most knowledgeable and professional audio specialists youll ever encounter. If youre personally interested in the details and science associated with car audio, after a 30-minute conversation with Tom, youll walk away with the equivalent of a Masters degree in Car Audio. Tom even graciously helped us when he knew we had to purchase a product at another store that was competitive to his. We highly recommend this audio store. It has an excellent selection of products, and the personalized care youll receive by shopping here is second to none.

I brought my vehicle in to get the rearview camera installed with my alpine 920hd. every thing seemed professional, until they said my bypass was bad and needed a new one that cost me 30$. then one of the other salesmen brought the new bypass back with him into the store and threw it under the counter thinking I didnt see him do it. So my old one worked fine and they charged me for a new one. They have a bible on the shelf there and I thought that they might be christian and I could trust them, obviously that bible is just a piece of furniture in that place. Dont go there. I am just glad it only cost me $30 to see their dishonesty. And I was going to buy a set of wheels and tires from them! HA! they blew it!

Far none the best customer service and audio accessories. No wait time for installs that require special parts due to the large selection for every vehicle. Prices are very competitive to the online market and are I hand. I had windows tinted on my wifes Jeep and they came out perfect. I also had them replace my factory speakers and ad a sub. Perfect install and sound. The staff walks you through different options and helps you develop your perfect setup. There are numerous stores in the tri state area but I will only use Discount Audio. They are there with you from concept to final install and beyond.

the employees are all rude except for the woman. They act like if you dont know as much as they do, your not as good as them. I was there Saturday to buy my amp kit and set an appointment up to get my type rs put in and they just told me too call monday and they would set one up. So Monday i called and they were like bring it down here so we can have and estimate b4 we schedule you in, which they could of did saturday! it wouldnt be a problem if i didnt live about an half hour away. Anyway they lost my business! i recommend you do the same, and stay far away from these con artists.

This place is almost the size of a Best Buy or Circuit City but filled only with Automotive stuff. They have every car audio and electronics brand there is but when I was searching for wheels all I could find was a tiny selection at NTB or Pepboys. This place literally has hundreds (maybe even thousands) of wheels and tires IN STOCK!. Ive never seen a larger selection anywhere plus they mount and balance while you wait. The owner even dropped me off at work while my wheels were being installed. Thats service you simply wont find in any industry, anywhere!

On the original install of a remote starter they had the car for multiple days and I finally had to pressure them to install it while I waited just to finally get it done. In less than two years the thing started malfunctioning and when we asked about getting it fixed the guy even said that it was junk but offered to sell us another one! Now Im having to pay $300 to get the thing uninstalled through the dealer because there is no way that I would trust them to do it. Steer clear of this outfit.
