Worst experience EVER with a florist. For years, we had used Fairfield Flowers for every occasion. Dances, birthdays, hospital visits, etc. We used to recommend them to everyone we know. The past two years have been such a disappointment, with this setting us over the edge. My family sent flowers for my birthday to my office (as they have every year in the past). Last year, the flowers were slightly disappointing. However, this year....I cannot tell you how awful they looked. Dying, extremely small (when they ordered DELUXE...it was a $62 arrangement that looked MAYBE $20) with balloons that were almost completely deflated. I was shocked, along with my co-workers. They couldnt believe they would even deliver flowers that looked that awful. All of my co-workers use them as well and everyone said they would never buy from them again. On top of all of this, my family called to complain and were treated AWFUL. I decided that I would call...just to let them know, they were EXTREMELY rude. They wouldnt allow me to speak with a manager, would put me on hold while talking, etc. I called back to at least get the managers name and they refused. I will NEVER do business with them again. I strongly suggest that you find another florist!!! Very poor selection and attitude!

I am extremely disappointed that this florist did not carry out my instructions properly and did not stick to the budget I set when ordering something as an Easter Gift for a friend in VA Beach. I set a budget requesting a very specific arrangement of herbs and a small Lindt chocolate as an Easter Gift - I called this in from the UK. I called in a short time after my initial order and added an additional herb. End of the day, they charged double what I expected and I am extremely disappointed. Tried to work this out via a phone call, however, was told point blank they delivered a quality order. In this day and age customer service is paramount to the success of small businesses. After an unsuccessful attempt to request some form of recourse in the way of a refund from what was double the budget assigned, I would strongly recommend staying away from this florist. I did tell them I would never use their service again and was told, rather politely "you have my permission never to use my store again". No problem! Stay away! PS - to add insult to injury, the owner asked if she should go back and collect the arrangement! Seriously? Avoid!

I had an amazing experience with Fairfield Flowers. I spoke to the owner on the phone initially and then met with Marie, ultimately I was in there one afternoon deciding on flowers etc and talked to all of the staff members there and they were ALL AWESOME!! During my consultation - I explained I had a tight budget, Marie listened to the ideas of what I wanted - the look I was going for and sat and looked with me at pictures on my pinterest board to get a better idea. She then discussed less expensive flower options to reduce the cost but still get the look I was going for!! They did my bridal bouquet, 7 bridesmaid bouquets, 2 mini-MOB and MOG bouquets, a toss bouquet, and a modern-garden-altar arrangement for me out of the leftover flowers and a few wild flowers to add a pop of color. It was all exactly what I asked for - and the cost was incredible. They completely worked within my budget! I wish I could upload pictures in this!! I highly recommend Fairfield Flowers - I still get complements on my flowers in my pictures!! Fantastic job!! (wedding March 16, 2013)

AWFUL FLOWER SHOP! I ordered my wife a bouquet from FTD online that was filled by this florist. When it arrived it was not as described, I called and complained to FTD and they compensated me 10% of my bill. I was cool with that and thought everything was fine. The next day, a delivery driver from Fairfield flowers shows up at my wifes door and demands the flowers back! Even though they were already paid for! I immediately called and the owner told me that because I complained that FTD wasnt paying her so she was taking her flowers back. When I told her that was between her and FTD, she told me to give her the flowers back and call FTD for my refund or she would just take me to court for the money!!!!! My wife was horribly embarrassed and totally mortified! Even though the flowers were bought and paid for, and even though the bouquet wasnt right to begin with, they sent someone to my house ot embarrass my wife and demand their flowers back!!!! I should sue these people! Dont ever do business with this flower shop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found this place online, because it was near to my house.. I ordered a mixed bouquet of flowers to send to my wife, with one request, I wanted one perfect red rose in the center. That is our "thing" At first, the person waiting on me asked me if I liked something already made.I said I would like something to be made for me personally and fresh. The arrangement my wife received was wonderful/perfect. She loved it! The whole experience was just great. The owner, Charlene, took my order & assured me that they would give me their very best. I feel as if they went above & beyond. My wife also loves purple Iris. The shop said they didnt have any, but when the order came to the hospital , it was full of purple Iris. With one red rose, front & center. I will use them next time & every time. And I would definitely recommend them, they seemed like they truly wanted to please.

Charlene and her creative team of floral designers are amazing. As a native of "the Beach," our family has used Fairfield Flowers for years. The quality of their arrangements, the flowers used, and their understanding of what a customer wants is always outstanding (even when the customer may not exactly know themselves). These ladies just always seem to get it right. Recently, my mother, daughter, and I discovered the series of DIY floral design classes offered at Fairfield Flowers, and we are hooked! What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday...an afternoon of creative fun and flowers with Charlene and her crew (and you even get to take your arrangement home at the end)! We enjoy the classes so much, we register by the quarter, now!

Miss Charlene and the Fairfield crew have been there through thick and thin for our family. From the arrival of our children, the celebration of holidays, and even the loss of loved ones they have helped us express each of these monental events with beautiful florial arrangements. They always seem to have the perfect creative touch each and every time no matter what the budget and Im truly greatful. They have my highest recommendation for anyone looking for that perfect floriest with the hometown service. Yes Virginia there still exists such a place and its in the heart of Kempsville!

I got a plant today that was mostly dead with drooping faded flowers and yellow leaves. I called and they told me I could come in and exchange it, which I did, but of course, they didnt have anything like what was sent. The florist was not apologetic for either the dead flowers or the fact that I was the one who had to come in, and offered me a much smaller, cheaper plant in replacement. I was disgusted with the whole experience and will NEVER do business there again. I will also advise all my friends to avoid them as well.It wasnt just the very poor selection of plants/flowers, but the attitude of the florist.
