Have been going here for years and have seen the same doctor the majority of the time and have been pleased with her until this month. 3 weeks ago, I went in due to an issue around contacts irritating one eye greatly. I had to speak to the first assistant, then describe again to the new doctor in training, then again to my regular doctor. As she told me instructions, I said I have trouble remembering things (and it was rapid) and she said she would write it down for me. Written instructions werent as clear as I had hoped, but what really bothered me was how she seemed almost annoyed by my ailment. Today I had a follow-up appointment, and a parent accompanied me to assist with relaying information to me after. Again, I saw a new doctor who was very pleasant and helpful, but I had to repeat myself three times as to the situation. Then my usual doctor appeared and stood in the doorway. When I told her I was not going to use one of the five products she recommended due to being fearful of the warnings of harsh chemicals, she asked why, as I have used other chemical based eye solutions before. I said the warnings on the box made me nervous as I have a phobia about potentially dangerous chemicals somehow causing serious damage just seeping through my skin, let alone being put into my eye. As I was trying to explain, she cut me off mid-sentence and said, "Well thats YOUR problem, then, isnt it? Its psychological." Her sudden attitude was completely uncalled for - and never once did I insinuate it was her problem or fault, I was simply trying to explain myself. Of course its psychological - its a phobia. Being an eye doctor, she probably isnt qualified to speak on that. Having a psychiatric history (and her knowing me and having access to my medical file on which my conditions are listed, this was a particular low-blow to me). And the manner in which it was said stunned even my parent who was in the room, who had to spend the rest of the day assuring me that it wasnt just me hearing it that way, her attitude was completely uncalled for. I told her that for the second time this month she had an attitude with me, and I asked her to leave the room, and thankfully she did. The other doctor finished actually writing out follow-up instructions for me. The usual doctor came across as dismissive and condescending and I do not understand her sudden shift in personality and professionalism (or lack thereof). I give this two stars because up until this month, the service had been fine. But this is not an acceptable way to speak to patients.

The front staff is horrible, extremely unprofessional. They are rude. The way they handle the phone calls is ridiculous not to mention when you are in their office, they are just a rude directly to you on how the handle business. Its been painful to have to go here, but my daughter needed the eye surgery and we had to keep going to get this approved. Our doctor I found to be great. The front staff that represents the doctors office is extremely poorly managed. The nurses are even wonderful once you get called back. The front desk staff needs major improvement on customer service, manners, and how you treat another human being. I cant say enough about how bad this front staff is. I would not refer anyone to this office. I would say find someone else in Fairfax if you can that does surgery on kids. Like I said I loved our doctor but the staff makes it so very unpleasant to go. I dread it.

1 1/2 years ago, I had iLasik with Dr. Boutros at the Eye Center (pre-op and check-ups in Reston, but the surgery itself was done in Fairfax). I used to have astygmatism and wore contact with -1.50 strength. Now I see better than perfect -- literally. I have 20/15 vision. I can see so crisply and its amazing. The Eye Center has state-of-the-art equipment, friendly staff, low waits in the waiting room, and is very affordable. Its also really easy to make appointments (both before and after the surgery). Take advantage of flex-spending if you can! Best decision I ever made. Also, I got the lifetime "warranty" -- so if my eyes get worse in 5-10 years, I can go back for free to get a "touch-up".

I can HIGHLY recommend seeing Dr. Darryl Reisner at this practice!!! He is super smart and took all the time I needed to have my questions answered. He truly cares about helping to make my eye problems more manageable. He was brilliant with regard to my glaucoma issue, and did a marvelous job in my SLT procedure. His confidence and reassuring personality made me feel more relaxed before and during the treatment. I also had another issue relating to allergies and a medicine that was prescribed by someone else, that was making my eyes worse. He gave me samples of two new medicines to try...and my eyes are not swollen and itchy any more, thankfully!!! I give Dr. Reisner a 10 star rating!!!!

If theres a zero rating, I would definitely give this place a zero. It was the most UNPROFESSIONAL eye exam I have ever gotten. When I got to the eye center, it was the assistant who gave me the eye exam, not the doctor. I thought the assistant was in training only. But when the doctor came in and looked at the results, she said, i will just give you -2.0 and -2.0. Really?! And for the past 6 years, I have a record of astigmatism. I did not see this result on my eye exame but only -2.0 and -2.0 for both eyes. I will never go back to this place again.

Ive been very happy with the staff and doctors at this facility. Over one year ago, I was diagnosed with early onset cataracts, which -- frankly -- was quite distressing. My doctors, including Dr. Reisner who ultimately performed the surgery to replace the diseased lenses, were very patient, helpful, and professional in addressing my many concerns. I would recommend the facility to anyone without hesitation.

It is the most UNPROFESSIONAL center and BAD services what so ever. They have called me to cancel my appointment and then billed me with missed appointment fee. I called to speak to the account manager Kelly and she was the most rude person I have ever speak too in my entire life. She was raising her voice over me. I dont recommend this practice and they just lost 5 patients because of Kellys attitude.

I went there several times for an a diabetes eye exam. I found the place very perfessional, very organized, and wait time was very short. Dont miss an appointment with out calling or be late though because you will get a scolding but I understand because otherwise they wouldnt be able to keep up the standards they have set. They also seem to have very modern equipment.

Efficient and expert; the staff and the physicians were excellent. Dr Reister answered all my questions and comforted me prior to cataract surgery.

They would not call in an Rx so I could easily replace my lost sunglasses. It had been expired for 1 week.
