Back in 2008 I left Home Depot for Lowes exclusively because of the general lack of knowledge their employees had, and because it was almost impossible to get any help when I was in any of their stores... Recently I decided to get a shed and after looking for months, I decided that the best value was the Sheds USA sheds offered at Home Depot. Yesterday I went back to Home Depot to order the shed and much to my chagrin, NOTHING has changed. The service desk had absolutely NO knowledge of what was going on as far as the process. I asked who was going to help me with the ordering, and they told me the name of the lady who would help me and then instead of getting her, put ME on a computer to order my own shed... Then they had no idea if I needed to pay for it at the store or if the charge went straight to my card...? I then went to gather some other items that I needed for the shed foundation and found that once again, Home Depot largely employs young adults who know very little about building or home improvements. I walked the entire length of the store trying to find a representative to help me find an Item, and when I found one I wasnt greeted, or asked if I could get some help... Also, later I passed several employees who did everything they could to avoid eye contact, I assumed so they would not have to be asked a question and have to help me. This is just crazy to me, that this seems to be the case wherever I have been stationed. After this purchase, I will surely go back to using Lowes exclusively, where their employees engage you and help you find what you came in for...

The Home Depot website said they a had a product in stock. I walked around the whole store and not a single person asked if I needed help. I finally went to the checkout line and asked the cashier. She said I would have to ask plumbing. I was looking for a security camera, which means she didnt even look at what I showed her. After that fiasco, I went to customer service and asked them. They looked it up in there system and sure enough it says they have one in stock. However, they didnt even bother looking. They just said our system could be wrong or its a display item. The worst customer service I have ever had at any Home Depot store.

Angela Lehnharbt, contacted me in regards to damage done during a carpet instal. She was very unhelpful and tried to hide behind store policy, citing it as a reason that she could not fix damage done during the instal. I think it was simply being too lazy to do what she was supposed to. I intend to investigate further, if it turns out to be a store policy to break things then not fix them I will be going to Lowes from now on, I have had very good experience with their contracting department in the past. If it is just a lazy associate, which I suspect, I can forgive that. I will let yall know. In the mean time let the buyer beware.

I dont recommend online ordering from this store. It usually takes 2-3 hrs for an order to be filled, and frequently it is not correctly filled. The worst part is if they take a long time to fill they will suddenly call and ask when you are going to get it because it is taking up space. They also flat out ignore the times you put in for pick up. One time I said I would get it the next day but they called the same day I ordered and said it needed to be picked up. If you are close Id go to the woodbridge store much busier but they get the online orders right.

Being a Cuban American, I appreciate the spanish signs in the store. Its a shame that people like "camaro" have not yet been eradicated from society for blatant ignorance and racism. Construction is one of the easiest industries to get into as an immigrant (which is how this country was founded), and simple things like spanish signs that make it easier for spanish speaking people to find what they need does not justify a one star rating and an anti-american accusation.

Rusty in lumber did a fantastic job! I called and was placed on hold for more than 25 minutes. I called back and got the auto attend and directed the call to lumber since there is always someone In that department. Rusty answered and literally walked the phone to tool rental and had my answer in less than 2 minutes! Way to go Rusty. However, the store could do a much better job answering the phones.

Had a bad experience in garden with customer service, asked to speak with supervisor. Supervisor was even worse. If I recall correctly her name was Danielle. Absolutely rude not only did she raise her voice at my husband and I shes never any help when we see her and ask for help. Weve been shopping for about a year and always find someone else to help is shes around.

Employees have been a mixed bag, some are really knowledgeable, others not so much. The selection is very wide, but very shallow. You can get a good feel for how something should look feel or weigh in the store, but they rarely have specific items Im looking for. Its decent if you need a quick fix, but not my first choice for any hobby work.

I needed assistance loading an electric smoker onto a cart so I asked an associate for help. She said she would get someone for me... I waited 10 minutes and finally got it on the cart myself. I have back issues and did notwant to load it but couldnt wait any longer. The cashier was very nice and matched the online price though.

Store manager Billy Koontz was extremely helpful in resolving a problem we had with a driveway sealant we purchased. I was very pleased as to how this was handled. Give this guy a raise, he really went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied.

Its the well known Home Depot. Everything for home improvement to DIY projects. Well maintained, well stocked and friendly service. Not usually busy during the week. Loads of parking and convince make this one a great place.
