For (at least) the second year running, the Purcellville store has placed a very large display of seasonal, fragrant flowers near the pharmacy. As someone with allergies and asthma, this isnt just unpleasant for me -- it is a health threat. For the second year running, I have complained about this practice. Today I spoke with "Dale." Dale explained to me that theres nowhere else to put the flowers. In other words, he understood that it causes his customers distress, but he cared more about selling a bunch of flowers. First of all, thats not true. They could be placed in the center aisle where seasonal items are kept. They could be kept outdoors in a plastic, greenhouse-like structure -- many other retailers follow this practice, and in fact, Giant keeps some of its own seasonal items outdoors. They could be kept closer to the flower shop, near produce. The entire store just underwent a complete re-set, and nobody could find a place to merchandise the flowers that wouldnt jeopardize the health of your lucrative pharmacy clientele? I will be taking my business elsewhere. With a new Harris Teeter going in a few hundred feet from Giant in one direction and a new Walgreens even closer to Giant in the other, Im sure I will be able to find a retailer who gives a damn about my health and safety. Meanwhile, even at $4+ a gallon, it will be worth the gas to drive to the Wegmans 10 miles away, where the prices are cheaper and the product quality is superior anyway. So today Ill burn my last gas discount -- 92 cents this time! -- and head to the Leesburg Wegmans to shop for Easter dinner and my other staples. Ill leave you with this thought. If I had told Dale that the flowers were in the way of my wheelchair, he would have heard "ADA non-compliance" screaming in his head and taken action. You, and Dale, should be informed that chronic lung diseases, including asthma, COPD, and emphysema among others, are disabilities. People who suffer from these diseases may be eligible for handicapped parking tags and other accomodations. You dont allow employees to smoke in or near the doors of your stores -- why on earth would you encourage them to merchandise lung irritants near the pharmacy? To sell more flowers? How utterly ignorant.

Milk at $3.99 when Costco sells it for $1.97 & Wegmans for $2.14, even the Giant in Ashburn sells it for $3.99. I will pay for convenience, but not at that price. My sons Danimals yogurt at $3.99 when Wegmans & Target have it for $1.99 - no thanks. From what I have heard - this is the most profiting Giant of all of the Giants and I can see why. How about lowering the price of milk & then youd sell more & still have tons of profit?

This store is great. I called last night at 120am. Even though they were closed the stock manager answered all of my questions. Not to mention the store it self has an outstanding layout an its very clean for a grocery store. The staff will help you with any questions or comments. If your in the area visit this store. Its worth the trip.

Why are your checkers so glum? No one ever smiles or is friendly. Are they tortured? At Bloom up the street, they are laughing and nice. Its annoying to spend so much money in one place and you barely get a smile.... While I will still shop in your store, I wish your people would get happy. Thanks Nancy Mark

The staff is always willing & helpful, esp at checkout. Today the Deli dept prepared a catered platter for my event with only 2 hours notice. Thanks, you saved the day. Hey fellas, the floral dept always has a nice, fresh selection of flowers.

The women that work in the pharmacy department are extremely aggressive & rude. They always seem angry and talk louder than they need too. I switched over to Walgreens in Leesburg and am glad I did.
