Its hard to give a store this size a review but because of one employee I give only a star because of (Jose) doing carne asada with wheat tortillas he was very bias and disrespectful to my wife and children I stood by and watched how he treated them and told him, he never offered to tell them about what he was offering he just looked at each one and said you want one too I guess with a very bad personality as soon as they walked away a lady of a different race walked up and he very nicely and politely with a smile asked if she wanted to try a sample thats when I walked up and told him how he treated my family and wanted to argue that they was just children , I said excuse me thats my wife and kids yes but they deserve the Respect just like any one else this one person took the stores review down maybe a manager will address this ?

I have been shopping at Wegmans Stonewall Shops Square, Gainesville, VA since it opened. It is an enormous store with an interesting variety of foods. However, I detect a decline in the quality of the food during the past few months. The fresh seafood we purchased was inedible, the spinach and salad greens were rotten inside, and when I asked the clerk to slice our ham thin she held up a slice, covering most of it with the palm of her hand. It turned out it was almost 1/2 fat. The raisin bread I purchased yesterday was stale and I had to go to Giant Supermarket for the hot cross buns I wanted to buy. Ditto for the fresh pizza dough and the Italian pastry. Theyll have to provide much better fresh food if they want to retain me as a customer.

I just had the most embarrassing moment unveiling the cake purchased at Wegmans (in Gainesville, VA) during my husbands promotion ceremony. It looked like a two year old cut out a piece of paper and stuck it on the cake. My husband was so embarrassed, he actually apologized to the crowd and said "Im really sorry about the hideous cake, it came from Wegmans not your typical bakery." I managed to take a pic of the top since cameras/phones wasnt allowed where the ceremony was being held, see for yourself. I ordered half of a sheet and noticed they literally had pieces of cake glued together to make the size I needed. Also, the ladies at the bakery department need a serious attitude adjustment or midol.

Ok, its time for Publix and Kroger to simply surrender and back out quietly. In the full service grocery business neither of the previously named have a chance of surviving if Wegmans decides to move into Atlanta market! The selections, services, hotbars,coldbars, and selection of quality brands make Wegmans the out and out superior. It took a 9hr trip due north from Atlanta to see what the next step in grocery shopping could be. Im sure Publix and Kroger are hoping that none of you need to buy groceries on your next trip up north, but if you do go to Wegmans! Come hungry and enjoy the rest of the day; you wont want to leave.

I use to like this place but now it appears to be a store the rich. They are stuck up and very unfriendly. I am amazed when it comes to the people handing out samples. I noticed how they dont greet everybody and only hand out samples to certain types of people like they are the only ones with money. I walked up to a lot of them and not one person said anything to me when I stopped and looked but the next person coming up behind me gets all the attention. There was even an older man that worked there who asked for my license but did not ask anybody else and I am well into my 30s. I truly believe this discriminates against others.

FLORAL DEPARTMENT EXCELLENT! I went to numerous floral shops and the flowers just werent to my idea of quality... Came here and completely different story! Healthy and Beautiful Flowers! I was coordinating a bridal shower and had a certain vision! These ladies were on it and take pride in the quality of their flowers and it shows! We ended up having some of the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen! They were very patient with me and took the time to provide excellent service and go above and beyond my expectation! I am definitely hands down coming here again! I also recommend them to friends and family!

I just had a great shopping experience at Wegmans in Gainesvilla, VA. I came with a pretty extensive list including gluten-free and dairy-free options and was able to find everything I was looking for very quickly. I am a fan of the layout in this store and the employees are more than helpful when you have to ask for clarification on an items location. Shout-out to the guy who helped me find minced garlic and the extremely professional and courteous check-out lady who rung me up on my way out. I would definitely recommend shopping here for your groceries locally.

I go there for pastry, sliced turkey, ground beef. Everything is so fresh. If u dont like what u purchased, the customer service is so friendly u can always return! This place is my absolute favorite place to go on weekends and have either breakfast - coffee with fresh croissant or sit at the small lunch burger place and enjoy food while I am actually half way shopping inside the store ! Buffet is really good and food is better than any other buffet ( whole foods buffet sucks). I recommend this place. Try to go on week days if u want less crowds.

Best Wegmans I have been to! It is the cleanest grocery store around. There far above and beyond the Whole Foods in Fair Lakes which is a dirty roach infested bacteria pit. Dont know how Whole Foods stays in business with this Wegmans around... probably because Whole Foods is more of a fad or "status". The prices are so much better, there is a great variety of both conventional and specialty/organic foods. For instance, a tube of ALBA natural sunscreen is $8 at Whole Foods, but $3.99 for the same thing at Wegmans. SHOP WEGMANS!

Amazing Selection. Im excited to keep trying their many produce options. The sushi is great too. On top of all of that: The Sandwiches are the bomb-diggity! I have not had as good a sub, ever, as the one I ordered here. I enjoyed the sandwich oil and the bread was great. That said, it took the sandwich maker a very long time to put my sandwich together. Maybe I was really hungry, but it felt like she was moving slower than molasses in January. Id endure the wait again, though.

Hands down my favorite grocery store.....ever! Produce always looks good & fresh. They have an excellent selection of prepared foods. Prices are regularly lower than other stores. Wonderful selection at their hot food buffet bars. Can get busy around 3-5pm on the weekdays and always busy on the weekend, but its always less busy than other locations in Northern Virginia.

Fell in love with Wegmans but fell out of love due to the lack of strict cleanliness by several male employees in hot food, meat, bread and seafood. Observed lots Of wiping of nose with gloved hand, putting spilled food from side of hot and salad bar back into the containers... and touching dirty pots with same gloves as clean. Im a Physician could be health inspector.
