I went in to speak to someone in the framing department about framing a piece of fabric. The older lady (didnt catch her name) worked with me and talked through my options and gave me some prices. When I discovered it wouldnt be finished by my deadline, I had no option but to attempt this myself at home. She was encouraging and her guidance allowed me to finish my piece with ease. She even sent me home with some foam board. Though I couldnt give them my business with my time crunch, Id definitely recommend her at this Gainesville store.

Michaels is a big craft store chain that caters mostly to middle age and old grandmas. Lots of craft stuff, yarn, knick knacks, framing section, and an aisle or two of paint and drawing tools. Good for most of your basic needs, but maybe not the place for obscure or specific needs. This particular franchise had pretty small aisles, well stocked, helpful staff. Sometimes parking lot is a zoo.

good employees but the past markers aint no paint markers they just fancy looking markers so Im not just rating this Michaels but all Michaels in general 3 stars good place but not as good as possible

I was in the store on Friday, and got to meet the store manager Moody who helped me gather their clearance bags. Very helpful, and friendly. Overall the best customer service.

This store is a little smaller than other Michaels stores, but usually has what I need. Customer service is good.
