I went to sallys to get materials to dye my hair with. The first time I went in, a man was working and after I told him what I wanted to do with my hair he picked out a devloper that was about 3 dollars and a hair dye that was about 5. Also bleach, and another hair dye that was a dark color was picked out so that if something went wrong I could easily dye my hair back to my original hair color. After I bleached my hair, I basically didnt need the lighter dye I originally bought so I went back to exchange it for a toner instead and get a smaller bottle of developer because the employee working there picked out a big bottle for me. Long story short, when I went back to exchanged my unused products, it turns out I had bought bottles that had been used and refilled with water and the employees accused me of tampering with the dye that I had bought. It was ridiculous and I was livid that I had to pay for the dye again when I did not even use it. The employee who originally sold it to me was not there and they said it could not be possible that a product was sold to me in that condition when obviously it is possible because thats how I bought the product! And mind you, I didnt pick out the products myself the employee who sold it told me grabbed the products I needed and all I did was purchase it. They have horrible customer service and I will never return back to this store again. I do not recommend this store.

I often shop at this Sallys for hair dye and bleach. Sometimes the service is good, but other times....not so much. The first time I bleached my hair on my own, the employee helping me recommended I use 40 vol developer on my already light brown hair. I have since discovered that 40 vol developer is normally used on dark brown to black hair, and even then it can cause a lot of damage. I am lucky my hair didnt all break off or fall out. Overall, I think youll be okay as long as you go in there knowing what you want and not expecting good advice.
