Ive had a couple good experiences with the people who work there but I have found that for the most part... -this pharmacy is extremely disorganized and lacks communication between techs and pharmacists and docs -prescriptions are rarely ready when they claim they are, even if you double check before you drive all the way out. -any time the tell me a script is ready I will call to double check before I drive all the way out, and even then, usually the scripts are not ready/partial filled etc Here is my most recent experience- This week alone I have returned 3 times for the same script having had a phone call from them saying they would put the script back if I didnt come get it. When I arrive they acted confused as to why I was there to pick it up. They then wouldnt release it to me, saying insurance claimed it was too early. When I called my insurance they said it had been processed and paid for and had no clue why the pharmacy couldnt release it so my insurance called the pharmacy directly and worked it out. So I called and talked to pharmacist directly just to be sure and he said "no problem we can have it ready within the hour" along with 4 other scripts. I get there and only one was ready. One was partially filled, and they proceeded to tell me once again that it was too early. At that point they had me talk to the same pharmacist who then claimed that he remembered talking but that he never told me it was ready. WHAT!? Through all of this they are aware I am leaving the country for 3 months and HAVE to have my insulin and other scripts by the end of the week. They tell me sorry you will have to come back the day of your flight that is the earliest they can release it. I cannot believe how disorganized this pharmacy is. After all that, they send out my prescription that is "too early to fill" and then quickly say "oh send that back we cant give it to you yet". Holy crap unprofessional! Im definitely switching pharmacies. Again the techs have been so nice, but the entire pharmacy seems unorganized.

I am giving 4 stars only because I love coming and buying basics like my makeup at this location. I have been going to this Walgreens since it was built for both shopping and my prescriptions. Recently I had read some locals that were frustrated at long lines and messed up prescriptions with the pharmacy, but I tried to give the store benefit of the doubt cause I had really only had one issue with the Pharmacy before. Go figure, I got sick this week and needed some prescriptions and instead of choosing the pharmacy next to my house I went with what I knew. First, my prescription didnt get sent over in the 20 minutes it took to get from the doctor to the pharmacy so I called and they called it right over. I got back in the long line and they told me that it was sent to a different location. How is this possible if she CALLED it in? So I called the Doctors office back and the pharmacy didnt want to speak to her, but she said it was in her log she called them. Second, I felt that the people, including who I think was the manager, made it very frustrating to get it rectified at first and then I had to wait another 20minutes if I waited in store or up to 2 hours if I left. I wasnt the only one that had to wait long wait times for the prescription to get filled. I heard up to 2 hours of wait time. I also heard them tell customers that Mondays are their busy nights. If you are SO busy you need to get more help. Ive been a manager, I understand sheduling costs. The need of people, especially sick people, is much more important that losing a few dollars because of over staffing. What if it was super important that they get that prescription as soon as possible?

Im not sure Ive ever left a bad public review in my life but this pharmacy is deserving of one. The people are nice enough (I guess, though far from personable, perky or cheerful in any kind of way.) and its nothing personal, they are simply sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwww. Every experience Ive ever had at this Pharmacy has been between 45-60 minutes. Its taken this long regardless of whether its not busy, busy, I called it the prescription in advance or walked in with one. Even when the prescription is simple and just one medicine. It doesnt matter. There is no urgency. No speed. No haste. Nothing. Anything they estimate in terms of time go ahead and double. There is then no apology or even casual mention of the wait. None. Just a slow transaction and youre done so the next person can wait. Just a complete and utter lack of self awareness that they are painfully slow. I kept telling myself that it was a one time thing. Now I will never fill another prescription here again. I will go across the street to Smiths and hope for better service and quicker fills. I wont go there again unless I have zero alternative options. It simply is a waste of time. So frustrating.

Preface: I do not work for Walgreens. Some of these reviews are incorrect. For those who think that Walgreens, or any other retail pharmacy for that matter, are the ones keeping you from getting your controlled substances... that is incorrect. When a prescription for a controlled substance is received, pharmacists are required to look up the patients name through a database. It shows when, where, and what controlled substance was last filled. Pharmacists then calculate to see if you have met your 80% for the month. That means you need to have gone 80% of the month before being able to then fill the prescription again. There are very few ways around this: an increase in dose or frequency of your medication, or your Dr. Calling the pharmacy and okaying an early refill (they must have a good reasoning). This prevents people from abusing, filling at multiple pharmacies without pharmacies knowing, etc. Its not Walgreens fault you couldnt fill it early.

Kirkpatrick Drug recently closed in Saratoga Springs. We transferred all our prescriptions to Walgreens. Now we are transferring them to Walmart. These Walgreens pharmacists are predators that care first about $. They could have saved me $120 on one prescription by giving me a bigger pill and telling me to cut it in half at home. That is what Kirkpatrick drug did with the same prescription. Walgreens tricked us into paying more. The next day when I realized what they had done I went back and talked with them about it. They refused to work with us. They took our money and would not give it back. If you want a pharmacist that has your back and cares about you and your kids first dont go to Walgreens. They care about $ first. You are their customer not their patient or friend. Feels more like they are selling you a used car then helping you find a way to afford your medicine.

My husband had his wisdom teeth pulled, then got dry socket (extremely painful) around 1.5 months ago. He just recently tore a muscle in his forearm installing our vinyl fence. He went to go and fill his pain killer prescription, and they refused to fill it. Claiming that he had gotten too many pain killers in the last month. I think that its terrible that they make their customers feel like druggies for trying to fill a prescription that they need. They arent doctors and who are they to say what people do and dont need. We have been filling our prescriptions with Wallgreens (other locations) for over 7 yrs. This wasnt the first situation of horrible customer service at this location and we will definitely be taking our business elsewhere.
