HEB store security just sent 4 people to stop me after leaving because I had an ice chest to pick up the frozen goodies I special ordered. I told all 3 employees I came in contact with that I lived in Dallas and had a long drive to get these back home. I paid and left, receipt in hand. The grocer in frozen foods alerted security because it seemed "highly suspicious" to have someone bring an ice chest in. REALLY?!!!? When picking up a frozen ice cream item knowing they have to drive an hour on one of he hottest days of the year?? The security person said that they stop everyone. I pointed out 5 or 6 people departing that they didnt stop. They have never stopped me before... I understand them wanting to check, but come on -- they had all of my contact information for he special order. It would be foolish for me to walk off with it. If there was a concern, he grocer could have walked with me to the front or left them with a cashier. When I proved that I had paid for everything, the response was "well ok then" and they walked off. Not a great way to treat someone who has set aside specific time and effort to make a larger purchase from your store, travel and supplies alone probably cost more than the merchandise. Actually his says to me "we dont want you here". Is that a good way to treat a loyal paying customer??!?

My experience at the deli today July 9, 2017 was unacceptable, and very rude. One of the ladies in the deli Christine was rude she unwrapped turkey and putting it back on the wood display, while I should have been waited on since I was next in line, and there was long line, I had been in line like 10 minutes, because of other customers ahead of me. The task she was doing should have been done when there was not a line. the other lady was training someone on the meat slicers, Christine continued unwrapping the turkey. the trainer stopped training apologized and waited on me. After the trainer started to help me, Christine stopped unwrapping the turkey and waited on the young man behind me. Even that man agreed with me she was rude. This took place around 11:00 a.m. I ask for the deli manager and was told he was at lunch, however I did voice my frustration to the store manager, and ask her if she would pass this information to the deli manager. No one should be treated so rudely as I was today. I am in HEB every week sometimes twice a week, however this type of treatment will lead me to spend my money somewhere else. I certainly hope this rude behavior by a HEB employee is addressed immediately before you guys lose more customers.

Has great variety of everything, and hard to find grocery items.. It also carries, kitchen wares, clothing, seasonal, and some wonderful furniture, made by Texas artist... I like that, lots of there products are made by local folks, and there products, and fruits and veggies come from texas farmers.. They also, make lots of things in their deli, and make homemade tortillas, and ready to heat or prepare 1 or 2 person dinners, desserts in bakery, well stocked meat markets, wines from Texas vinyards, and unique foods to taste! Just pick up one of their booklets,.. Actually, they have 2.. One with all the unique items, and how to use, and their taste!. The other is recipes and ideas!.. I love there wide selection, and enjoy shopping with them.. They also give samples, most of the time, and have hamburger cookouts, every once in a while, for customer appreciation!.. As a matter of fact, i was in there yesterday, and they gave me a free "whole" roasted chicken! Awesome!!!!☺

I know I am suppose to be happy that I have an HEB. But I am not. I miss my Signature Kroger. I do not like the way that they over stock their brands and under stock the name brands. I do not mind trying your brand, if I want to, but in your entire store you did not have one single large can of sliced peaches, in a name brand. Also, not one single box of Eggo Pancakes, not even a slot in the freezer where they would go. Seriously, these are not weird items. I have been buying a large can of peaches, Del Monte or Libbys for the past 30 years at all the other towns I have lived in, even in a town that only had 400 people in it. Stop shoving your brands down my throat! And stop putting all the name brands on the bottom. I may have to go back to Walmart, and trust me, this Walmart in Waxahachie is terrible, but at least they stock name brands.

We have shopped here for the last six years. In our opinion, the quality has declined in that period. The store is shifting display space in large quantities away from brand names in favor of store brands. One result has been the diminishing of variety, usually at the higher end of quality/price. It may be that this is a good economic decision for store management to make. But as a consumer, I dont appreciate it. To find the items we want, I have to drive 40 minutes to go up to Central Market in Dallas (ironically owned by the same management as HEB) twice a month now. Dont get me wrong, HEB is still a better than average store. But instead of having the great majority of my shopping needs met by this store, as was the case six years ago, I now have to shop elsewhere. (Including, God help me, at the local Waxahachie Walmart on occasion).

No longer like this place. Last time I saw a sign at entry warning not to bring in any bags - kind of "dont trust anyone". Their coupons are complicated - one coupon said " buy 3 of XXX get $2 off" I picked 3 exact items, but at the checkout, the guy pointed to little printed on the coupon and said coupon not applied because of wrong size on the item...Also, while I started moving first item from the cart for checking out, the cashier bent all over the counter, looked under the cart (I had a carton of beer) then told another guy to came scan it - look like they were thinking that customer would try to steal! I will not come back. I just dont feel fit in their culture and I dont understand their business nature.

I absolutely love HEB. It is much nicer and cleaner than other grocery stores, and the produce is top rate. They have such a large selection of items. I love this store! My one complaint and reason for deducting a star, is that I have ran across many rude, snobby cashiers. That does not make the shopping experience very good, and it honestly makes me not want to shop there. My parents refuse to step foot into the store, due to how rude many of the workers and customers are. Sad. This is a great store, other than that.

Great selection of all kinds of food items. Helpful and friendly associates. Best of all, sufficient number of cash registers open making checking out much quicker than HEBs chief business rival. Also, at my age (73) and with several major health issues that make it difficult and tiring to shop some days, when I checkout the offer is always made to assist me out to the car and load my groceries in my trunk. I can count the number of times on one hand this service has been offered elsewhere. HEB is the place to shop.
