I set my bag and jacket down on the ground while i browsed through their manga section. Anything i found interesting, i set in a pile next to my bag. I put my jacket over my bag a couple times and subsequetly the book pile, so weirdos dont go rifling through my stuff. When i was done i sat on the ground and laid the books out to sort out what i could and couldnt buy. When i narrowed it down, i put the books i didnt need back. When i finished i sat down again to text my friend which book she might want. Was during this time a middle aged associate with brown short hair and glasses approached me to ask me very plain faced if i was finding everything fine. So far i had. Then she asked me if i would be purchasing the books under my jacket that were laying on the ground. A was a bit takin aback by the implication she was making. I didnt realize i looked like a thief. I shopped here pretty regularly and have never stolen anything before, not to mention this is my first visit being approached by their associates at all... but i quickly took my jacket off and said i would be purchasing the books. Sorry if that looked fishy. My b. But then she then asked if i would like her to take them and put them on hold at the front. And thats where i was sort of irritated. Im sorry what? Im literally in the middle of finding a gift for my friend, and you are really that sure i was going to steal that you already jump to confiscating a potential purchase? Geeze hold youre horses. Ive been shopping here nearly 3 times a month for the past year, membership card and everything, and ive never had an associate approach me. But this one time i have been approached by 3 different associates including this woman. Im a bit offended, because it just occured to me ive been on their survelience for stealing this whole time...??? I never felt so paranoid for trying to NOT look like im stealing... i work in retail myself and i understand the procedures that go into preventing theft, but never have they been more wrong. I purchased thr books as planned, then looked at their reciept to see if there was a number i could call to file a complaint. I honestly dont want to shop here anymore if they think i would steal simply by sitting on the ground, nowhere near their entrance, with my purchases near my belongings...? Ease off, lady.

For someone who loves spending time in book stores, I hate this location. The employees are all rude, and treat you as though youre in their way. The last three times Ive gone, its been the same thing each time. The most recent visit (and, barring desperation, my last), I arrived about 15 minutes to 9. I walked in the door, and one lady immediately came up and said "Maam, were closing soon. You need to hurry." Now, I generally go to another Barnes and Noble, which closes at 10, and had wrongfully assumed it was the same at this location. I explained this to the lady, apologized, and told her I just needed to grab a new day planner, and I knew where it was, so it should be quick. By the time I was actually able to get BACK to the correct row, I had between 5 and 10 minutes left to shop. A few minutes to, another lady came up, said "Maam, were closed. You need to put down your items and leave." I looked at her in shock. She looked at me in indifference. I told her I just needed to buy an agenda... which was in my hand. She told me I couldnt, and I had to leave. So I put it down and left. I check my phone when I was back in my car, and it was BARELY 9pm. The service was awful, and they were definitely more interested in going home early than in staying open the full hours and making a few more sales. I hope I never have to go back to this location!

Went to return two GRE books that I wont use because of life plans changing, and met one of the rudest managers ever. She treated me like an idiot because I didnt know the return policy was only 14 days, then proceeded to tell me how the book was obviously used (even though it has been sitting on my dresser since I bought it 5 weeks ago) because she could see a crease on the edge. She opened it and showed me how the crease was made (opening the cover and folding it down) making the crease look worse than it was before!! I didnt want to make a scene even though I was upset, so I took the books and left. I was told by an employee before the manager showed up that even though it was over 14 days, they usually just process the returns anyway. Because of this incredibly negative experience, Barnes and Noble has lost a customer for life. I will never recommend anyone to this store if this is how they treat customers.

Stood in line for 8 minutes. Woman in front of me had been there for 10. I had to leave because I never expected to have to wait 10 minutes to give Barnes and Noble money so I could get out the door to another commitment. Im a die hard book lover. Ive probably spent thousands there just since my kids were born... but never again. Customer service is clearly no longer a priority. Ill shop at Half Price books and Amazon now. The ONLY advantage B&N brick and mortar has had over online channels is speed and service, and if I cant get either of those Ill go online. Special shout out to Kim, who got pissy with me when I asked for the manager by phone. Her explanation was that the manager was at the front- which means that she was one of the cashiers failing to see and resolve the wait in line. Way to go.

The Employees and Store Manager said hi as soon as I walked in. Then the. Manager asked if I was looking for something specific. (I was) She looked for my item but Im the one who found it. She then proceeded to tell me about her favorite books and that my item was 20 % off. Some people would find that kind of friendlness suffocating, I didnt. I had all morning available at the time. I stopped going to bookstores about 9 years ago. It was nice to see that they are still friendly.

Everyone is so nice and very helpful :) ...I just went in to buy the nook tablet and everyone was such a great help from giving me the low down on the differences in the kindle and nook to sending me to customer service to set it up, to free books, to better prices, to cases, everything I needed, I had by the time I walked out of there. Didnt even take an hour. Very nice and super helpful! Thank you :)

Great personnel, service, and book selection. Family friendly. My daughter loves the childrens section, and they even have story/activity time for the children at certain times throughout the week. Their is a Starbucks connected to the store, so feel free to grab a nice drink while you browse the shelves. Ive never gone and not found the book I came searching for.
