The store and staff are okay. I really dont have the need to interact with them that much, and when I have they have come through with an answer and solution in a positive, professional manner. My big complaint is the layout of the store. I used to go the Barnes & Noble at De Zavala before it closed, and it was so inviting, relaxing, and darn right cozy. One could lose oneself in a section and not realize how quickly time had passed. Sofas and tables were conducive to study and quiet reading. The store at La Cantera, on the other hand, feels crowded with very few places to sit and what seems to be less of a selection of books. Because the store space gives the illusion (or maybe it truly is) that it is small and sections are bunched together, it really doesnt make for a relaxing, calming effect when browsing for books. The whole atmosphere is loud and rushed and not pleasant. I go for what Im looking for and really dont linger like I used to at the De Zavala store.

The biggest selection of books in all of San Antonio. There are more books here than at my local, small town, library. Im a comic book reader and the amount of volumes they had here was amazing. Not only did they have stuff I wanted, they had more than I thought was available. I enjoyed looking through each section, and they even have a coffee shop inside so you can enjoy a nice cup with a book. My only complaint is the prices. I wouldve bought more if the prices werent so high. I love to read, but even if I love the book, I wont buy it if it costs too much. Work on that, and this place would be perfect. 4 stars mang!

Two story, difficult to navigate. For the most part the staff can be helpful, but they are stand off ish. If you have questions you need to go ask them. Messy in the kids and game section every time I go. Busy and customers tend to leave their children to their own devices running around upstairs. Staff cant do much about that otherwise they upset the irresponsible adults. Dont care much for the set up of the store.

Theyre sometimes nice here and the selection is alright but for the most part its almost hilarious how much most of the staff appears to loathe customers...at least the cafe staff (I dont blame them...the place is chaotic. If you need something really quick, then get it and leave, but if youre looking for a place to sit down and chill and read, this is not it.).

I called in about a particular book a representative by the name of cody was very polite and helpful he went out of hes way to get the book i wanted he placed on a brief 1 min hold and got back to me with a very enthusiastic voice. As well when i got there i was assisted in a blink of an eye as well they have a very friendly atmosphere.

I love coming here to read, seems like theres always something new that grabs my attention. Cant count how many times I went there to read for a bit only to buy a book and finish it at home! Always a success in the sense that Ive loved almost everything Ive read that was purchased from here.

One of the most neat B&N ive ever been to, its organized, 2 floors make it spacious, and customer service is great. Wether youre looking for a book, for music cds, or just waiting for your family thats shopping. This place is amazing.

Well kept and well designed interior, kept down only by the low stock of titles available. Looking to purchase any more than 2 of a book and youll have to order them online. Other than that a great place for a quick book grab.

Your typical Barnes & Nobles but at a very nice location in the La Cantera walking mall. Large selection of books, the service is fast and friendly, and staff are always happy to help you find what youre looking for.

B&N is starting to look more and more like a relic. The staff seem disinterested and the lines are long. The only reason to visit is to get a drink, read some free books and scan barcodes for my Amazon wishlist.

This is the one place I go every single time I shop at La Cantera. Lots of books, and music, and even toys. It smells like a Starbucks with the coffee shop below. Its close to a couple poke stops too.

Their Starbucks does not accept Star Buck gift card. Starbucks should insist upon all of their franchisees to accept their gift card with no exception. This is very inconvenience for the customer.

Well organized , comfortable & quiet, fair selection & diversity of books. Nice feature of free book reading & crafts by staff for the kids while parents shop. However, items are pricey!

I actually like this place Starbucks staff do talk loud but when your up buying whatever you want they are nice and helpful. The book selection is good as well.
