"My wife and I, and our three children have recently relocated, and downsized from a large condominium to a two bedroom apartment in the Rockwall area. We unfortunately had to leave most of our furniture behind. As a result of the smaller apartment,we were forced to find an alternative sleeping solution to the classic bedroom set. Realizing the air mattress that we were currently sleeping on was not acceptable option, we began our search locally in Rockwall for furniture. We pulled into the Express Family Furniture parking lot, ignorantly judged it by its size, and immediately left without going in. We then proceeded to travel across the greater Dallas area visiting all the furniture showrooms that Google maps could provide, to no avail. Ironically, and unexpectedly one of the associates at the larger furniture showroom recommended that we check out Express Family Furniture in Rockwall. The following day, we began our search at Express Family Furniture, and upon entering were greeted warmly and kindly by the sales associate Andrew who immediately helped us find what we were looking for. While the showroom is not enormous by any stretch of the imagination, his knowledge of local furniture company’s products was nothing short of amazing. He immediately had several solutions to our problem, and was willing to order and deliver product within a week. As we were hesitant to order furniture from a catalog, we thanked Andrew and headed out to the mother ship known as IKEA thinking they would have to have what we needed. Andrew showed no aggravation at our walking, and in fact was hopeful that we would find something. Needless to say we spend a full day navigating the expanse of IKEA and came up empty, crabby, and frustrated. After cutting our losses and filling the kids up on meatballs, we raced home to get to Express Family Furniture before they closed. Andrew was still there, as we got there 10 minutes before close on Friday evening, and greeted us as warmly as he had earlier in the day. The order process was efficient, and informative, and I had full confidence that our product would come as promised. While he could not guarantee anything, he informed us we would most likely have our product by the following Tuesday. We received Andrew’s call the following Monday morning as he had just picked up our order, and offered to deliver it before he had to open the store. He arrived within minutes telling us, “I did not want you having to sleep on an air mattress any longer than you had to.” That did it for me. In my opinion Andrew had just done the impossible, he over promised and over delivered. Knowledge, excellent customer service, and the willingness to go the extra mile will have me going first to Express Family Furniture. Don’t be fooled by the diminutive size. Good things come in small packages. In hindsight they have as much to offer if not more than stores 10 times the size. In addition we discovered many things can be previewed by vising their web site.
