This place is horrific. This is hands down the worst cycle gear I have ever stepped foot in. I went in last weekend to get a tire put on my motorcycle. A man named Antonio was behind the counter. I told him the size tire I needed and I had the wheel with me to have it put on. He looks at me and said "okay". Just standing there I said, can you show me the tires. The man "sighed" and walked over to the tires. I told him the size of what I needed. He found one Dunlap and said it was a good tire. I had done previous reviews and knew this tire was good as well. I said okay that will work, he then said "well actually, we probably cant do it today". I asked him "why not?" He said "we are too busy, and short staffed, we only have 3 people are we are busy" I looked around in the store, there is no customers beside me and my wife, the other two are sitting behind the counter watching someone on the computer. I asked him "when do you think you could get too it?" he said "probably monday". I was kind of let down by this as I wanted to ride today. He then said "actually it may not be till friday". Now I went in saturday morning at 9:15am. So this was basically a week away. He also told me it takes about 4 hours to put a tire on. I know this is a lie obviously. This place is just horrific. They will lie to you if they think you dont know. I did call cyclegear in bedford, they had 3 employees as well. I asked them when they could put the tire on, they said bring it we can get it done in 30 minutes. When I arrived there, it was full of customers and still did my tire in 30 minutes. Stay away from CycleGear in Plano. The employees lie, the store looked like a horrific mess, and the employees have no drive to do there job. They act like they hate cycle gear as much as me.

* Edit / 3 weeks later update - I lived with all my gear for the past several days, and I started to discover that I will need to go down a size to make sure everything is truly snug and not flapping or loose when riding my sport bike on a regular basis. "Jim" completed a "no-questions asked" swap and even ordered me a replacement helmet which I requested in going down a size as well. Where is the 6 star option, Google? Great value, selection, pricing, and service. I dont mind giving 3 or 4 stars, but 5 stars is well deserved for this specific store. I spent about $1,500 in safety gear which I had held off in spending for a long, long time. And when did today, I ran into great quality products and great service and pricing from the store operator on hand... Thank you.

I called before I went to confirm they had the specific tire and size I wanted, I drove over 30 minutes to get to them. When I got there, magically they didnt have that size, so they had to put on a different size for me. In addition, they scratched my rim doing it. Heres the kicker, when I get home, THEY FORGOT TO PUT MY PULLEY BACK ON. Thats right, I called them and it was "Sorry man". So yep, two hours total drive for this. When I finally did come back, the guy who actually works on the tires (I was speaking with the sales associate) was very apologetic and gave me a 20 dollar gift card. He also was nice enough to show me how to put the pulley back on if I ever have an issue. Hes the only reason Id even consider coming back.

Bought a helmet at this store (219.00 +tax) kept it a week in the original box for 7 days. Took it back to the store for a refund. The store manager would not give me a refund because the shoei sticker on the front of the helmet was twisted. I never used the helmet, it stayed in its original box for a week & I returned it. I bought a pair of boots, pants, gloves, oil, oil filter and brake handle there. I have not used them, I am thinking of returning them 2morrow. I still need gear for wife & kid. I will NOT go there for anything else now. To bad the staff is excellent (- mgr of course)

This place sucks, poor customer service and the guys that are there never wanna help. They never have what you need in stock unless its expensive or gear related such as an extremely expensive helmet or jacket. The guys that work the place are usually new every few months and mostly they hire stun riders who either stole their bike or just went out and bought it to ok cool, they fire all the good guys that really do love motorcycles. They used to be good about 5 years ago but now they suck. Go to Bates #2 if you want good service and dont want to get ripped off.

I went in to grab a helmet, went in again to get a different style visor, both times I was happy with my experience. Some people are leaving bad reviews for their poor tire installation reputation, if you would have told me that this place does installation I wouldnt believe you, it just doesnt seem suited for any sort of motorcycle work, so I dont see how people can expect them to be the go-to place when they need something done. If you need something done take it to a mechanic, not a retailer.

not so good. i saw one of their employees ride up in shorts, no jacket, no gloves, no jacket, NO HELMET?!? and they sling the stuff? how can you expect me to pay $700 for a helmet, and You dont even where one? Then i find out that most employees dont even ride !?! Are you kidding me? How do you know about the products when you dont use it AND you dont even ride a motorbike. Not good. Ill find somewhere else, thank you.

Honestly, the apparel is stuffed in the store where it makes it hard to shop. The boots in the back are completely unorganized, difficult to find the styles you want to try on or even sizes. The staff must only pay attention to the front counter and services in the back. If a little attention was placed on keeping the merchandise organized and displayed in an accessible manner, my guess is sales would sky rocket.

Ask for paper copy of receipt and not email!!!I bought a jacket and helmet. Price seemed about right when at check out. Emailed receipt was sent but did not look at untill weeks later. Found out I got charged for some oil and and filter. Thay came out to close to $35 extra. Shop is great, but just dont know about the sales/cashier people.

Bought gloves and boots from Amazon, but went in here for a helmet since I didnt know my size. They were very nice, and I tried on multiple helmets to find my size. I also looked around at everything else they offer, and I can say I will no longer be shopping on Amazon, these guys have a huge selection and at great prices!

We drove from Wichita Falls to check out motorcycle jackets. We ended up finding exactly what we needed even though we were just coming to shop & price things out. Staff is very helpful but we got lucky finding what we needed. The store is pretty small compared to other cycle gear locations that are more warehouse sized.
