Just before Thanksgiving, I took some items to this location for a loan, a gaming system and a few games. Two weeks ago, I went in and renewed the loan so that I would not lose my items. No issues there. Yesterday, I went in to pay it off and get my things back. This is where things went south. They took my money, cashed out my ticket, and went to the back to get my things. After a few minutes, I can see the manager walk by the doorway with my games, but not my system. Now Ive used the local pawn shops before, well before they became EZ Pawn. It struck me as odd that my system wasnt bundled with the games, as theyve always done. After some time, the manager came out wanting help looking for it because he cant find it... In the end, they could not find it. I was told that its possible that when one was sold my system was pulled by mistake, or that it might have been pulled to put out to sell by mistake. They had no answers. All they could do was replace it with another one. No getting my money back, just someone elses system they either didnt want or lost. They couldnt even tell me when it was lost. Its possible that when I went in to renew it, that it was already missing. When I asked why the system wasnt bundled with the games as they always have been, I was informed that theyve changed that and systems are now bundled separate from games. So my stuff wasnt kept together. I was also informed that once the items are taken for a loan, they are put in the back and not allowed to be touched. This tells me an employee was involved. I was assured that this has never happened and that an investigation would be conducted. However, there was nothing else they could do but give me the replacement system and have me sign a waiver about taking legal action. I just want to warn everyone, so no one has to go through what I did. You take your items in there for a loan, expecting them to still be there when you pay it off. No one is supposed to touch your stuff unless your ticket expires. That system was a gift and also a collectors edition. I will not be using this location ever again, if I ever do business with EZ Pawn again. Your items are not safe.

The manager, Robert, at the EZ Pawn in New Braunfels is an ignorant douchebag. When switching out an all-in-one computer that had a ton of issues with one that worked, I pointed out that the replacement one should be a little cheaper than the $299 advertised because the Windows 8 OS on it was not activated. An activation key cost anywhere between $30-$60. After he said he isnt lowering the price anymore because he "has never seen that before," (I pulled it up under the Computer info settings and showed him) he stated that pointing that out is like complaining that Windows Office isnt installed. Really? Last time I checked, Office was an optional program that isnt required, whereas a product key for an Operating System is. The computer would stop running after 30 days without that key. Robert was rude, didnt know what he was talking about, and had a terrible attitude. When I tried explaining the difference between having a properly running OS installed vs. an optional program, he walked away. I can see why other people dont like this place. Management needs an overhaul.

One of the best shops Ive been to. I do business with a lot of pawn shops and found that EZ has the best service, people, prices and overall attitude. Some shops act like they dont care to help but Ive never had that problem here. Not sure why all the negative comments. I will recommend this store to everyone. The manager is super nice and always willing to help.

Bought a ps3 console over priced and I get home to find out it doesnt read discs properly, they really need to be more thorough with there product checks to make sure that it actually works. Cuz 99% of the time just because it turns on doesnt mean it actually works.

This pawn shop closes early not @7 came all the way from Canyon Lake 3 mins till 7 and they were close manager looked at me and refused to unlock doors to take my money to get my stuff out. They need new management!!!

They have prices on the back of there games and movies and when going to pay they look up price on amazon and give you a higher price saying thats the value.
