Gander mountain has always been good to go for me. Ive bought maybe 7 firearms from them and thousands of rounds. I usually buy from their used firearm collection as they generally offer great prices on said firearms and they have some really rare stuff some times. I have bought 3 guns that I have never seen anywhere else before and after purchasing. I usually have my ffl find me what Im looking for but sometimes its hard to find something they dont make anymore at a decent price. Gander mountain though has come through for me on 3 of my purchases. Also they always have some sort of sale going on or rebate or coupon going on. I got a $4,000 safe from them for $1,900 with all the discounts and coupons as well as 1 year no interest. Another thing I really like is their layaway program its very useful I have placed many a firearms on layaway. Lastly I would like to say they have price match. I love that they will mtch any of their competitors or offer you a better deal.

Happy Camper

Went in this last week to find some new hiking boots and misc other supplies. Matt and Michael (I think) were both very helpful, even while helping other customers. Matt knew alot about the types of boots and made sure I found what would work best for the hiking and camping areas I typically go to. He walked me over to the camping area and helped me find a hammock and headlamp and then to the gun dept to help me find bear spray and some ammo. Its rare to find a store with such great service and who seem to really care and enjoy their work. I was greeted when I walked in, helped find what I needed, and the cashier made sure I found what I came for when I was checking out. They have earned my business again. I hope they can keep up the good work.

Will not shop there again. Worst service ever. I ordered a rifle, received a confirmation it was in, went to pick it up and waited 10 min for someone just to show up in the firearms department, then they couldnt find the rifle. Once they found it, then they had no one to fill out the paperwork and was told I would have to come back the next day during 9-5 when someone who knew how to fill out the paperwork would be there. I work during those hours daily. Definitely not accomodating. I will go to Cabelas next time.

Selection is alright, however it is the employees who work the registers who need to be more mindful of security tags and removing them after purchase. I thought it was just sheer luck when it happened, but two consecutive trips have led to returns to the store for the same reason and all I get is an "oops" for driving back 100 miles each time. 3rd time is a charm though, since there wont be one.

Note: Wife works as an employee here, some bias. Every time I have been in this location, every one has been friendly and helpful (before wife began working). The prices are decent and competitive to most other stores. I do not own a gun, so I can not speak to the gun counter people. Fishing selection is great. Camping supplies you have many choices. A good store.

My husband Shaun and I take our kids to the Lubbock store all the time. My husband has bought a lot of guns since moving to Texas and they were all purchased in this store. The costumer service is hands down top notch! We also buy our kids under armor clothing here and the prices are hard to beat. Thank you for having such an enjoyable store!

I give one star because you can not give negative stars, I ordered something, and the delivery date was 12/18, then they changed to 12/21 (Today) and now says 12/23, is the worst service Ive ever seen, including shipments from China and Australia. I hope it geta here by the 12/23, otherwise Ill return it,

Overpriced, poor selection on hunting clothing and extremely rude staff. One employee attempted to sell my father in law a non operational, plastic display instead of a real GPS for over $200. Fortunately I saw it before he checked out, no returns on sale items because of the store closing.

Gander Mtn is going out of business sad to say! But happy to report they have rain suits for $5 while supplies last! Lots of winter wear left guns and fishing supplies! Kids archery set $12! Cant beat this sale! Staff is still friendly and helpful and its clean and organized!

We bought the gander mountain waterproof duffel bags. I am so disappointed with them. They leaked water and all of our clothes were soaking wet. Not impressed at all. I will be taking all of them back and get my money back. I would not suggest these to anyone.....

Great selection all around. There are good deals and bad ones. For the most part employees are friendly except in the gun section where a bunch of older men hang out and get annoyed if you ask for assistance. The rest of the store is fine.

The deals on firearms and ammo is largely a rip-off. I stood there wondering how you charge $100 OVER the MSRP. If youre looking for a gun, there is a ton of better places in town.
