I called in advance to purchase a portable acetylene rig. I was told that they had two in stock- they physically checked (supposedly), and that I could come and pick one up. I drove out there, and Shannon the Manager wasnt going to look for the item, or have an associate look for the item, not until I held up the line. They couldnt find it, and the excuse was that the shift changes at 2 pm. I can hazard a guess that means that no one works after 2 pm. After giving up on the rig, I purchased a few open box items- which Shannon attempted to charge full price for (even though the markdown price was in bold print on the purple tag--the purple tag denotes the special price). I had to correct her on the price difference, which she rolled her eyes, but corrected the price. Watch what is rung up on the register there, and believe them when you have the item in hand... Oh, I ordered the rig from the Harbor Freight website- and they are shipping it to me without a shipping fee, because of my trouble- that is nice of the company.

Good place for inexpensive tools. If you shop carefully you can tell the better quality items from the junk. Ive used a orbital sander from HF a few times and own a small tank compressor and power saw from them, neither of which Ive used yet so I cannot comment on the long term quality of these items. Some power tools come in different grades from normal use to professional, so might loook for that if you want a higher quality toll. Obviously if your looking for lifetime tools then your in the wrong place and should be buying Klein or Snap-on or major name pwoer tools. But even B&D makes inexpensive tools for the handyman and I bet they are made in China to B&D specs. So to Stephen Villarreal " you get what you pay for", even at Lowes etc. Ive purchased name brand tools from them that turned out to be junk.

Fun shopping for mechanically inclined! OK, admittedly some of the tools here are stuff that hardly works once, let along for a long time, but if you have not been in lately the quality has greatly improved in last 10 years and now many items are very good - at unbeliveable prices. I got a set of 3/8" deep sockets for $8.99 - and a rain check for a 1/4" set for $5.99 - you can hardly get one socket at Lowes or HD / Sears for that price! And they were silky smooth, well made not like rough castings they used to sell years ago and they have warrenty to back them up. You still have to watch what you get (power hand tools especially weak and trouble prone in my opinion) but for many things you can get some really cool tools at a great price. Good selection too. I spend a long time in there shopping!

Lot of tools that are really cheap! That is the highlight of this place. If you are looking for tools and dont want to spend a ton of money, you can get what you need here. For things that need to be really precise or has lots of small moving parts, it might not be the best option. However for the other 80-90% of your tools, save the money and buy them here. Every so often they have a tent sale and their already ridiculous prices are even lower. Sorry this one sounds like an infomercial, but that really is the only draw to this place.

Store looks good. Good merchandising. Very reasonable prices. Very poor service. Lots of customers and theres no employee on the sales floor. There are two cashiers. They banter back and forth with each other and eat chips while ringing you up. Annoying, unprofessional, a little bit gross. Store manager popped out of his office to deal with a problem at the front and then retired back to his cave. If youre a manager and your store is shorthanded, you need to pick up the slack on the sales floor or the cash register.

Went here expecting poor quality tools from what my friends told me, but I was surprised when I checked them out for myself. The tools have extremely cheap prices with a warranty so whats there to complain about. I bought a set of 3/4 drive impact socket for 30 dollars compared to over 200 at snap on. So in my book I got a great deal since I rarely use them.

They have a great selection of gadgets. Dont buy industrial tools here, theyre all cheap Chinese knock offs. But if you need tarps, or air pumps or unusual gifts for men, this is the place. Look for coupons in Popular Mechanics or get on their mailing lists, the coupons are worth the trouble.

I was in doing a return for my father last month & I came across a VERY outstanding young man. He was polite & interested in me as a customer instead of just someone passing thru his line. His name is Todd, and I think he is an AMAZING asset to your company! :)

Great deals I store but be sure to check your mail for amazing coupons as well. The products are cheaply made but they abide by their warranty. Just walk in and grab a replacement and the warranty starts over again! Great and helpful staff as well.

Good selection of cheap gadgets but really WAY over priced on their tools. Hell, they are starting to charge the same price for these cheap Chinese knockoffs that you would pay in Lowes or Home Depot for good name brand products. Ill pass!!!

Great value! This is a great place to buy power tools that you use every now and then. If your gonna put good use to something Id recommend getting a replacement plan. Most of the tools last just as long as name brands. Others go quickly

OMFlippingG I love harbor freight! I never dreamed of being able to own air tools, but now I have a 21gal air compressor with a few hand tools. I will be expanding as the electric tools I have fail.

Very helpful and just because everybody else charges more doesnt mean they do they figure what its worth is what its worth and thats what they charge discount prices not discount service

The kind of place to get plenty of handy tools and equipment for realitively good prices. Maybe not the highest quality products but ones people can afford

This place has saved us a considerable amount of money during our business start-up. Quality of the tools varies, but most always suitable for the need.

Just your average HF, many high demand tools like metric socket sets are perpetually out of stock but the staff is always friendly and willing to help

This place is a punchline for a reason. Need something cheap for that "once in a lifetime" repair, get it here. Want it to last? Go elsewhere.
