Misinformed staff, surprise billing and samples that are not correct Rx. Went here last week for contacts. I already have glasses and tried contacts but none worked for me. Went here to give contacts a second chance. Big mistake. Right away you are told youll be paying $35 for a picture of the eye that insurance will not cover. It helps the doctor see the overall "health of the eye" and detect diseases such as diabetes early. Or you can get your eyes dialated. But who wants to do that and then drive back to work? Neither is not an option. They also wanted a contact fitting fee. When I asked the assistant how much this fee was I was told its $94 without insurance, but she was unsure of how much of this fee my insurance would cover because she does not "know how to read insurance." It wasnt until the fitting was done that I was given my total of $60 and paid at that moment. My doctor didnt have the correct strength in a sample to give me so she sent me home with blurry vision in a contact that wasnt my strength. I obviously didnt wear them. I had to ask if we could go over the picture I paid $35 for at the end of my appointment in the "do you have any questions for me" part of my appointment and was pretty much just told everything looks good. I then get a call saying that my trial pair was in and if I wanted to pick them up, I can pay $84 for the contact fitting. Apparently this is the amount I attempted to clarify PRIOR to services rendered that the assistant was "unsure of" and let me leave thinking I already paid for until said surprise phone call. What a waste of time and money. I paid $60 for nothing. Dont waste your money here too. Surprise! Youll owe more than you think.

Go somewhere else to purchase your frames! After my exam, the girl who was supposed to be helping me get frames was pushy and rude. Even though they have a huge selection of frames, she walked me over to one brand. I tried on one pair of glasses, and she immediately took them and said she was going to run them through my insurance to get a price. I told her I was not sure if I wanted those, but she did not reply. While she was at her desk, checking the insurance price, I tried on a couple other pairs of glasses. When she walked up, she told me the price with my insurance. I told her that I wanted to look some more, but she said, "yeah, but I like how yhese look on you & you should get them." I asked her why the cost was $100 more than it should have been with my frames allowance & lens deductible, but all she would tell me is that the lens were not completely covered. I told her that I was going to a couple other places to shop around, and she said "ok" and walked off. I found out that my lenses were completely covered, but she added upgrades to the lenses that was not completely covered. She was very deceitful by trying to force these upgrades and not explaining the extra cost. This was not a good experience.

Absolutely horrible service! I found a coupon on their website, and booked my husbands appointment. I mentioned the coupon when I made the appointment, but when my husband went to pay the fees went up about $100, and he didnt get the contacts or the follow up appointment that were promised in the offer. Not getting the contacts is disappointing, but understandable if there is an issue with his eyes not being suitable for contacts. I was under the impression that people with an astigmatism could wear contacts. You would think that since he saved them the fees for the contacts and the follow up appointment that they would honor the coupon or it even be cheaper, but nope. It was more expensive. Their reasoning was because of the frames. He got a cheap pair of frames. I could understand that if he picked a high end name brand, but he didnt. He had no choice but to pay for the exam, and get his glasses. He has now been waiting two weeks for glasses. When I called, the ladies there, have all given me different dates to expect them. Although each lady I spoke to was very nice, they were not helpful at all. This place is very unorganized.

The good: I was able to get an appointment same day. I had something pop up and they were able to move my appointment with no problem. The not so good: The young lady who took my contact order and checked me out charged me for something Ive never had to pay for because my insurance covered it. When I told her that it was covered, she didnt double check and told me I was wrong. My insurance company ended up sending me a check a week later because I wasnt supposed to pay for what she charged me for. My contact order was supposed to get here after July 4. Nobody ever called to tell me they were in. I just happened to go in a few days ago to see if theyd come and they said they left a message. Checked my voicemails going back 3 weeks and there was no message. They also told me when I picked the contacts up that I had a small credit on my account. Im expecting her to put it on my card or give me the $$...she says theyll put it towards my next visit...assuming there would be another visit. They were nice enough, but I realized what I had in the place Ive been going the last 3 years through this experience.

I found the Deerbrook Vision Souurce to be very professional. The office staff are very friendly and they stay busy arranging appointments, performing tests and providing help with eyewear. My doctor there, Dr. Patel, is extremely professional. His tests are rigorous and he is careful to check all aspects of eye disease. On his recommendation I had eye surgery and my vision has returned to 20/20 in both eyes for distance vision which is what I requested. I can see now just as well as when I was 21, this is like a miracle. I trust Dr. Patel to be honest with me and to carefully monitor any future eye disease. My appointments are handled very well, on time with almost no waiting and once started they are completed efficiently. I have no complaints about this practice at all and I would recommend Dr. Patel to anyone that has eye problems.

I have been going to the Deerbrook location for years. Ive always had great service except for this last time. Ive never had to wait so long for glasses to be ready for pick up. My prescription was started on Feb. 16, 2015...waited close to 3 weeks for those glasses and wore them for 3 days only to find out that they were so wrong. Measurements werent taken correctly and Ive returned them to be corrected. Its going on 3 weeks again!... This will more than likely be the last time I go to any Vision Sources. I think its time to try something different. Very, very disappointed with the wait time on glasses. I really dont think its the norm. Ive been ordering glasses from them for years! What changed? Here we are April 6th...and still no glasses!!!! No phone calls explaining why theres a hold up ...nothing!!!
