Mann Eye 2 in Humble next to Half-Price Books. I followed my optometrist of 20 years here. Dr Mark Rinkoff is an excellent Doctor and has always provided excellent treatment. However, I recently scheduled an appointment for my son, requesting Dr Rinkoff. The appointment was set. We arrived at the appointment time only to be told Dr. Rinkoff was not in. I explained that we preferred hom, so they offered to reschedule it "when he would be in." I asked what next week looked liked, and they said "hes on a medical leave & we dont know when hell be back." It gets WORSE. As we are already here, I decide to go ahead, but I asked if they could reference my sons last eye exam. To which they replied "not without Dr Rinkoffs prior approvsl." So the fact that he is in this practice is no benefit at all. I asked if they knew if Dr. Rinkoff would be back at all......and of course they couldnt tell me that either. This is called "bait & switch" in the con artist world. My idea about professionalism does not include "bait & switch." When youre a customer OR patient, you become highly offended when a "business" treats you with a "take it or leave it" attitude. This office cant answer any question for me, they cannot even assure me that my sons prior specific exam can be viewed by a new OD. I understand that I may need a new eye doctor. That happens. But this entire experience has encouraged me to look for a different address AND practice to go along with a new dictor.

I want to the Mann Eye Clinic because I had been told I had cataracts, which I do. Scheduled surgery for September 19th. I had questions the week before and requested a doctor call me. When that didnt happen, I cancelled surgery and went to another eye clinic in the Woodlands for a second opinion...on they type of cataract surgery, manual vs laser. To my great surprise, and dismay. I learned I have dry macular degeneration, a wrinkle on my right retina...and a serious problem with my left eye ( I thought it was the cataract getting worse) and was referred to a retina specialist. I have a macular hole. How all this presented itself within less than a month after being examined ay the Mann Eye Clinic leads me to believe I was given a very inadequate exam there and I firmly believe the main objective was to convince me to have the more expensive laser cataract surgery by telling me it was safer. Id be having the second cataract surgery today, on my eye with the macular hole if i had not listened to my intuition. And the fact the surgery would have been done on an eye that is already inflamed...that thought scares me. Thank the Lord I listened to myself.

Have you ever been in a situation that got started off on the wrong foot so to speak and just went down hill from there? Well that pretty much sums up my experience with Dr. Meltons office at the Mann Eye Institute. In a nutshell, I was treated with total disrespect. All 4 of the staff members I had contact with were equally less than professional. After waiting for exactly 2 hours, I left without seeing Dr. Melton or without anyone apologizing for the delay or informing me of when I could expect to see the doctor. Let me just say that maybe it was just a bad day for everyone involved. But having a bad day can be overlooked, forgotten and I could move on but the series of unfortunate events were serious enough that I am strongly considering filing a formal complaint. I wish everyone the best and hopefully this was an isolated situation.

It was nice and surprising for Dr. Mann to give me a telephone call to see if I had any questions before my surgery , and thanks for caring, I was very nervous and scared . before the surgery / And Dr. Mann ask me if we could pray together , my answer was I have already prayed this morning then Dr. Mann ask a second time if he could say a small prayer. My response was yes , of course we can never pray to much, It was a nice short prayer and God did hear our prayer He guided Dr. Mann to clear all of the cataract of my left eye I am still some what nervous about my right eye, however I know God is good and He has his angel watching over us to guide his hand for surgery on the right eye

I had cataracts and had to change insurance due to retirement benefits changing in 2017. Called Mann Eye Institute and got an appointment within a week. The staff is pleasant and very professional. Had the left one done and after 2 weeks healing, accidentally scratched my cornea with plastic flowers. I called and got an appointment that afternoon. I explained I would see anyone and got to see Dr Mann. I worked at the same complex that he started his business more than 30 years ago and always used him for my eye problems and glasses. He is kind, genuinely concerned about my eye problems and a great doctor. Post-Op care is excellent. Dr Melton did my surgeries and I am doing great!!

I just completed the Lasik procedure under the care of Dr. Brian Wright yesterday afternoon and Im already thrilled with the results! In addition to testing 20/15 vision in my follow-up this morning, it was everything before the surgery that made this an excellent experience. Kudos to Dr. Wright and staff for going above and beyond to ensure I was completely informed every step of the way - this made the process much more relaxing as there was no element of surprise. From the initial screening appointment through todays follow-up, I have been 100% satisfied and will certainly be recommending friends/relatives who are candidates to Dr. Wright and Mann Eye.

Friendly staff but didnt disclose the details of the type of examination I was going to receive so I had to pay more than expected. Communication about further treatment options were great. However, I have not heard from the person who was supposed to give details of treatment and the financial obligations. Finally, lack of communication about how to order the eyeware that was suggested as I was not given a prescription, only a sample (no other options) for a very limited time 4days. What do I do for the rest of the week? And the weekend? They could have done so much better, in my opinion. But the Drs. Are GREAT!

I have been a patient of Mann Eye Center for 4 years. First came to them after noticing my vision was not quite a s clear as it should be at my age. The doctors found I had a more serious issue causing the vision problem and recommended surgery for the macular hole . The surgery was performed in 2013 and went exactly as planned. At that time I was made aware that in the future I would most likely need cataract surgery on the same eye. Dr. Mann performed the surgery last week and again it went perfectly. I would recommend any of the doctors from the Mann Eye Center in Humble to anyone who asked.
