Trying to write a review for these people is very difficult for me because every time I start writing I start to sound like one of the crazy people who type in all caps with lots of exclamation points. I promise you, I am not one of these crazy people who is dissatisfied with everything no matter how good it is. I am, however, someone who doesnt want to let anyone else be swindled by this company. To summarize my experience, I hired them to provide centerpieces, bouquets, etc for my wedding. I knew exactly what I wanted, the owner wrote it all down, then on my wedding day, none of the flower arrangements delivered were correct (I wasnt there to refuse delivery). They sent bright red centerpieces instead of light purple, all the boutonnieres, corsages, and bouquets, including my bridal bouquet were the wrong color, and no one was available at the business to take my calls. Bridesmaid and aunt went out and bought new flowers at some cheap place nearby while we tried to repurpose the few that we could to have enough flowers for what we needed. Looking back, with all thats happened, especially now that I have these terrible cheap replacement flowers in my wedding photos forever, I wish we had just thrown them all in the trash and had a flower-less wedding. Okay, so they messed up. It happens, mistakes are made, I can completely understand that. Give us a refund, call it a day - should be simple. Well, long (very long) story short, they refused. They insisted I was the one who messed up, they insisted that because the flowers were beautiful (who cares if the red clashes with the purple color scheme!) and I reused a few of the flowers in other bouquets that they werent at fault and shouldnt have to refund us anything. They agreed to refund most of the cost several times, but after many weeks of them not sending the refund and I guess just hoping we would go away, I finally had to contact the BBB. In response they made up a return policy that we didnt follow (and having not existed before, how could we have followed it?) and now offered us 1/4 of the cost of the flowers in refund. The BBB saw this as sufficient to close the complaint - since I didnt find that acceptable, they SHOULD have had a mark on their BBB page (and Im guessing more than one since their customer service is this atrocious) but because they clearly know how to work the system, they technically do not. In conclusion, I cant stress enough that you should NEVER trust them to provide flowers for your wedding. And on principle, I would never purchase any flowers from them for any reason. There are plenty of other small flower businesses in Houston that Im sure would love to provide excellent service. To be clear, all our dealings were with the owner, so this isnt on some random employee. Not only are they arrogant, they are liars, and customer service for them doesnt exist. Between my experience and reading other recent reviews, you should assume that if you give them money, you will never see it again, even if your flowers dont arrive, are late, or are completely wrong. Id give a negative score if I could.

My experience with Lexis florist was phenomenal! They greeted me with a warm welcome when I first entered the establishment and helped me with my purchase from beginning to end. I heard about Lexis through a personal recommendation and when it was time to buy a birthday gift I decided to give them a try. I am not the smartest guy when it comes to deciding on flowers beyond the traditional dozen red roses but that was not a problem for the professionals at Lexis. I told them this year was a special year and I really needed to make a HUGE impression as this would mark a 60th birthday for a close family member. The team at lexis wasted no time introducing me to the beautiful arrangements that I never knew existed. They showed me amazing floral arrangements including long lilies that twisted into heart shapes, flowers that stacked on each other like wedding cakes, and their signature hand opened roses. The moment I saw the roses I knew thats what I wanted! The lexis team guided me through the creation process 100%. I decided to go with a arrangement called "Hearts of Callas". It was amazing, two dozen hand opened roses with lilies that twisted into a heart. The gift was the centerpiece of attention the entire night. It captured the conversation of all the guests attending the birthday and transformed a regular dinning room into what looked like a professionally catered serving area. I would defiantly recommend Lexis to everyone as this has now become my favorite flower shop in Houston. They made my life so much easier and I truly was impressed with the quality of the flowers and look of the arrangement. Thanks again to the Lexis team for your professional courtesy, advice, and wonderful arrangements!

Here is how I interact with Lexis Florist: Step 1. Call or stop by and say "Im looking for something very romantic. Reds, purples, something sexy. Maybe some red roses and burgundy orchids. I want to spend about $200, but if it goes up to $250 thats cool." Step 2. Pick up the most stunning arrangement, that perfectly fits the mood I described. These people are artists down to every detail. Often for a romantic bouquet there will be rose petals in between the brown paper and cellophane wrapping your bouquet. They have style, they have class, they know how to match the bouquet to the occasion. I deal with them as I would deal with any master of their craft - I give them artistic license to work within some loose boundaries (price and mood) and the results are always stunning. Their pre-made arrangements can be gorgeous too but personally I like their bouquets better than items that come in a vase or are chosen from their website. Also the vase adds a lot to the price and so you get a lot less for your money. Using the Lexis Florist for your florist is like going to Du Vin to buy wine. You are going to the most serious of professionals, you are going to an artist, you are going to the best. The Lexis Florist is the penultimate. Knowing to go to them is knowing where to go for the best in the city. PS - dont ask me why, because I dont know, but I find picking up my arrangement is always better than having it delivered. Also, for a stunning bouquet Id say expect to pay at least $150...and for $250 itll be drop-dead the best bouquet she ever got. Go Lexis Florist!

RIPOFF! I called them to make me a small bouquet, gave detailed instructions, and arranged a pickup time. Not only did they get the entire order wrong, but they complained about me showing up "as they were closing" even after I asked when they closed. So I wait for them to remake the arrangement (12 sunflowers) and I am pushed to pay so they can close. I realize the next day that they charged me more than the original quote (and the arrangement I left with was half the size) so I called for a week to straighten it out. The woman calling herself the manager used language I would never expect for a company, spoke down to me, and told me the arrangement I left with "should have cost $250...not the $92 you paid as it is considered a wedding bouquet." I tried to reason with this women as even $92 for a dozen sunflowers was out of the question and she told me to "bring back the bouquet." Ive never heard of bringing back flowers a week after buying them, but unfortunately they were long gone in the trash. Stay far far away from Lexis Florist!
