I worked at food city for about 4 and a half years. This was way before, when the store was still named "davis food city." I had about 2 years experience when a new company came over and bought it out. They kept the same managers, but the store managers kept changing like crazy. The only manager that was good was Eusabio, but after that, a guy named Jaime came in and messed up the store. The guy is such a mindless buffoon that Im really surprised at how he got the job. While I was at the booth, I could notice all other girls sucking up to him, and he would give them anything he wanted. He started firing all the faster people because they didnt respect him (there wasnt much to respect) and started hiring older ladies because he knew they would be more obedient. I went there recently, and now I see that the store really has gone to hell. I will be glad the day they fire an idiot like him, and maybe the store will start doing better.

The prices here are outstanding! I like it a lot because I always shop on a budget! However the three stars is for the Taqueria that they have. My husband and I went for breakfast a few days ago and while we were eating, an employee came over and started combing her hair! Right there where people eat! Now I spoke to the manager about this but I am not sure of anything was done about it. Well I got food poisoning from there and it has not been a walk in the park! We will continue to shop there but we will not be eating there again!

If you are shopping on a budget this the place to come and buy your groceries, you can stretch you dollar at Food town. The store is always clean and the employees are friendly.

When I click on the website it isnt for the Foodcity on Aldine Mail Rte...its for locations in Arizona...does anyone else have this problem? am I doing something wrong?
