I have to say my experience with Beauty 4 U has been nothing less than professional and courteous. The owner is always willing to help and I have seen firsthand how she will make sure the customer she is helping is taken care of before moving on to the next customer needing help. THAT is customer service. Now if the people who gave the low ratings because she didnt give you enough attention or help you try to nickel and dime your way to getting product, then thats your bad. There was nothing ghetto or barrio about this store. She has all the products for natural, relaxed, and dyed hair in her store. If she doesnt have it then she will see about obtaining it to place it on her shelf. Im tired of people putting others down because you dont feel it is to your standards or you feel they should present itself in a certain way. If she doesnt want you opening the product and has a sign clearly stated she doesnt want you opening the products then how about exercise some manners and do as the store tells you to do. Did it ever occur to you that maybe others might not want your grubby, snotty nose leaving germs in the product just because that is how you shop for product? That is not only uncouth but downright lack of home training! Thats ghetto because I was taught dont touch or open anything unless you buy it! It is not your store! It is the owners and she has every right to place rules on how she wants her store to be maintained and managed. I sincerely doubt she let you walk the store without asking if you need help. I feel she has done a marvelous job with having the experience and the diverse number of products! Keep up the good work and your employees are professional as well! This is one of the few black-owned businesses in our area and we still have ghetto people with ghetto names trying to act all superior. How about we try and keep this woman in business instead of tearing her institution down because you have no home training and neither do your kids. If she closes, then that means more inflated price shopping on the Internet because most Asian owned businesses cant tell us a thing about our hair and will let you walk out having smelled some product that makes your hair worse.

Since I heard about this store, Ive been wanting to check it out. I have natural hair and this store carry a lot of products youd normally have to purchase online. Immediately upon walking in, I was greeted with a nice welcome but there were signs all over the place stating " Do not open the products". " If we catch you opening the products, youll be asked to leave" Seriously? This was disheartening to me because as long as I can remember, Ive been opening the lid of products to get a glimpse of the consistency, color, smell, etc.. of a product. This is part of my purchasing decision. Also, I noticed a sign stating if you squeeze the natural bar soaps, youll be asked to leave. Everywhere I turned Im greeted with another sign stating they have a right to refuse service. Why are customers constantly being reminded of this ? I asked the lady at the desk if there were sample products available so I could get a glimpse of what the product looked like on the inside , she said no. Im not going to purchase a product for $20 and cant see what it looks like on the inside prior to buying it. The pricing tags are faded on a lot of the items which has me wondering if the products are out of date. They were also out of stock of a lot of products ( Komaza Care, Qhemet Biologics, Darcy Botanicals) and they didnt seem to carry a vast line of chemical products. They force you to spend at least $5 when using credit/debit cards. If you decide you dont want to spend $5, they will charge you a .50 cent fee which Im assuming is the same fee the merchant is charging them. Stop forcing customers to spend more than they need or want to. The lady in front of me, this was her first time visiting the store as well and she was also displeased. Overall, I ended up purchasing products Id already tried before since I couldnt open the products I actually wanted to purchase. I drove all the way from North Dallas to visit this store and I wont be back. My advice to them would be to have " Testers" so the customer can see the product and get a feel for it and provide better customer service. Im certain the customers would spend more.

If you ever wanted to experience BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE this is the place to be! Instantly when I walked in (with my 10 year old daughter) I received the vibe that the lady working didnt want to be bothered. I was planning on picking up some items that were new to me and I made the mistake of asking the black lady (the owner) how competitive were their prices compared to other places. It was a simple, innocent question that lead to a horrific experience. Instantly the lady got LOUD, OFFENSIVE, SARCASTIC, GHETTO, and very UNPROFESSIONAL right in front of my child. She stated to me, " DID YOU SERIOUSLY JUST ASK ME THAT? WHY DONT YOU GO TO WHATEVER PLACE YOU BEEN GOING TOO!" I smiled and calmly told her I wanted to check them out because the business was closer to my home. I attempted to overlook the aggressive outburst, rolling of the neck/eyes, and continue shopping but even then she refused to show any professionalism. I even went as far as to apologize to her if I offended her by asking her about the prices. I told her that I meant no offense and would just like to ask her some questions about the products I wanted to purchase. She still refused to help in anyway and went as far as to tell me verbatim, " THE CHINESE PEOPLE YOU GO TO COULDNT ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS FOR YOU!??!" At that moment I was done with the disrespect! When I thought it couldnt get worst she added racial slurs into the sarcasm! Its embarrassing that a woman of color with the blessing of owning her own business would conduct herself in that manner. I went around the corner to Sallys Beauty Supply and when I mentioned my experience the customers and employees all chimed in with the same review on this lady. A TOTAL DISGRACE TO MY RACE & MINORITY ENTREPRENEURS like MYSELF!!!!

Im for black businesses but i will not buy from a place that does not allow returns or honor return policies. No matter the race of the owners. I bought a product that had not been stored right and that was not in its correct state, and it was opened by someone else. I was first told that i would have to contact the company, Alikay Naturals, because the owner said it was shipped that way. After showing that most of it was missing and open I was only given store credit. Then i needed to return some unopened products that I bought for my daughter she did not need. I was told that would only be store credit too. I explained that the receipt said it could be returned in 5 days. The owner then said in a condescending tone, "Maam do you want to reread that receipt?" I just said no tell me how much store credit I had. I was too tired after being in class all day and knew it would get ignorant. I then made sure i spent every dime of store credit because this would be my last visit. I was pissed I had to pay $3.00 difference for the products I got. I hate this happened I have been shopping here since they opened and referring everyone I know, telling them to go the extra mile to support a black business. I wont doing either anymore, at this store. I still support black businesses and will drive to Duncanville or Lancaster where I was told there are black owned beauty supplies.
