Outstanding. I went in to Frisco Eye Clinic three days ago for the first time for an eye appointment with Dr. Buthod and I have to say: This man is a wizard. I went in for a routine visit expecting an ordinary appointment with a typical blank-faced doctor. The experience of having lenses selected was, however, nothing short of inspiring. In the space of two or three minutes, it felt like we went through hundreds of lenses as he honed in on a lens that might improve my vision, every time, his assessment becoming finer and finer, and with every manner and hallmark you might expect from a person of the very finest training and skill possible, which he had. My vision turned out to be pretty good, but since I was there, we decided to see if he could improve it anyway, which of course he did. The lenses he found were actually a remarkable improvement, and equipped me with vision that seemed impossible to me as I switched back and forth between the machine and my ordinary vision to make sure it wasnt some sort of illusion. In addition to his skill, this doctor had the moral character and integrity on top of it to point out without pretense that glasses for me from this store were in no way a necessary purchase, my vision being good enough without them. I decided to get them anyways, being much cheaper for me to buy now in case I might need them more down the road thanks to my insurance which is soon to expire. In choosing frames, I was also pleasantly surprised and impressed by the services of Jason Crump, the optician, who had helped me to pick out a frame that suited my facial structure and style. This was also no ordinary experience: he did not once try to suggest a frame simply because it was more expensive, but instead suggested several frames at various prices and makers to suit my taste and features. On top of this, when I came back to purchase them, and he was not present, when one of the salespeople there came up with a higher overall figure for the price, and I inquired about the price he had quoted, he called back the very next morning to honor the quote he had given a few days before. This is why I am giving a review at a full five stars: in an era where dubious pricing schemes and cheap two-bit salespeople are commonplace in the healthcare industry, the people at Frisco Eye Clinic defied what is becoming the unfortunate stereotype of the healthcare industry with the incredible quality of their service, and the care and attention to detail with which they ensure the considerable quality of their products.

****UPDATED 5/6/16: SINCE MY LAST REVIEW MY ISSUE HAS BEEN RESOLVED. I RECEIVED AN APOLOGY AND THE DIRECTOR, DESIREE, WENT OUT OF HER WAY TO ENSURE MY FAMILY WAS TAKEN CARE OF. SHE WAS DILIGENT ABOUT FOLLOWING UP WITH ME AND ASSURED ME THAT THE STAFF WOULD USE OUR EXPERIENCE AS A LEARNING TOOL. WE PICKED UP MY SONS FRAMES YESTERDAY AND GOT IN AND OUT QUICKLY. WHILE WE HAVE HAD BACK TO BACK POOR EXPERIENCES THE PAST SEVERAL WEEKS, I DO HAVE TO CONSIDER THAT WE HAVE HAD YEARS OF ABOVE PAR SERVICE PRIOR TO NOW. WE WILL REMAIN CUSTOMERS AND HAVE FAITH IN THE SERVICE AND THE STAFF GOING FORWARD. THANKS TO THE ATTENTION AND PROFESSIONALISM OF THE DIRECTOR, FRISCO EYE CLINIC WILL REMAIN OUR VISION PROVIDER OF CHOICE. (FOR THE PEOPLE WHO SAY THEY HAVE HAD PUSHY SALES EXPERIENCES HERE, GO BACK AND SEE ANDREW. HE HAS TAKEN CARE OF US FOR YEARS AND NEVER TRIES TO HARD SELL. HE TAKES HIS TIME AND TRULY ASSISTS IN FIGURING OUT WHAT WE WANT NOT WHAT HE WANTS FOR US. GREAT GUY!)****I have purchased multiple pairs of glasses and contact lenses as well as prescription sunglasses over the past few years for six family members. Even after we moved from Frisco to Grapevine almost three years ago, we still made the drive as we have truly enjoyed our experience with Frisco Eye Clinic. At any point in that time I would have rated 5 stars but now definitely not. The past year to year and a half things have changed. Service is poor and we have had issues getting glasses in a timely manner. Most recently, my sons new frames broke a week after we purchased them. We went in and was told they would order the replacement frame. Two weeks later, I called as we had heard nothing. I was given the very poor excuse that the lab "didnt check their messages" so the order was never placed. Instead of doing the right thing and having them overnighter, I was told it would be Monday at the earliest. Monday was five days away and my sons frames are still taped together. I asked about having them expedited and told because it was "after twelve oclock" that wasnt possible. There was no doubt in my mind at this point that I was being lied to. They had dropped the ball. It is now Monday near the end of day and we have heard nothing. I am beyond disappointed. Service has been declining but this is the icing on the cake for us. Our family will be finding another optometrist. (That said, the optometrists are not the problem, the poor level of service is.)

I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. I went to get an eye exam and a new set of lenses for my glasses. The receptionist was a pleasure and I was ready for the typical wait I was accustomed to at other optometrists. Their waiting area is equipped with wifi. I wasnt connected but a few minutes when they are ready for me. The eye exam was two staged with the technician performing the basic and routine procedures. The actual acuity exam by Dr. Buthod was quick but precise and thorough. I wasted no time afterwards asking him about Lasiks and other options and I could tell his response was technically sound and detailed enough for my engineering background liking. My lenses came with a one year normal wear and tear warranty that I either didnt remember I had on my original pair or didnt get. To top it all off they said my glasses would be ready in a week or less. I took them in on the Wed. before Thanksgiving and got a call on the following Sat. from the clinic stating that my glasses were ready. I picked them up on Sun. and am ready for the work week! I can honestly recommend the Frisco Eye Clinics experienced staff and pleasant service. They gave a top notch performance - this coming from someone who is quick to point out flaws in the service industry.

One word...CROOKS! Why...my wife had originally gone there for replacement prescription lenses and was up-sold by the sales person on site. Once she received the glasses and tried them on...she didnt like them...especially to the tune of $700. When she returned them (almost immediately) for a refund, the rep said the owners would have to approve the refund and there shouldnt be a problem. Well... months later we are still battling the owners through our credit card company. We should have resolution soon but not without incredible hassles and hoops to jump through. Ive never dealt with a business that would accept a returned item and then so diligently not offer or honor a refund. I would never recommend this business to anyone in any case. They are truly the worst of the lot when it comes to customer service and certainly shouldnt have the honor of doing business with consumers. Buyers beware...this business is tight fisted...once they have your money...you may not ever see it again if you should ever be dissatisfied for whatever reason. Ill update once we have an answer on the decision. The owners are still contesting the refund vehemently for no obvious reason.
