Went here for an "all ages" show starting at 10p. Some guy asked us for IDs when we walked in and I asked if we could just get Xs on our hands since we left ID in the car (which every other bar in the area does). He says no, so we go to the car to get them. We come back and he looks at my ID and says you have to be over 21 because "were a bar now". So a bunch of minors were on the side of the street listening to music through an actual hole in the wall. This is why people hate pretentious coffee hipster places.

I honestly love this place. I work in deep Ellum and I know I can always get good strong coffee here. The layout is very spacious. During the day I can always take my laptop over grab a coffee and chill. Its usually always quite and a good atmosphere. As it gets later in the night; specially on weekends. There will usually be a live band sending out good vibes. My friends and I always make it a priority to make a stop to drugstore. They have great drinks and good vibes!

Had a wonderful Peruvian coffee, the beans are locally roasted right there in Deep Ellum. Met the owners Matt and Ariane, so nice, you can tell they are very passionate about not only the coffee but also the neighborhood and the community. Didnt know this going in but they actually have a full bar with hand crafted cocktails and apparently it s the only place on Main that sells liquor. I highly recommend checking out Drugstore Cowboy morning, noon or night.

A coffee shop with a fully stocked bar... Whats not to like?! Stepped into Drugstore Cowboy on a rainy weekday afternoon and ordered a coffee -- with whiskey please! The staff was friendly and the place was spacious. They were cooking up some snacks for their taco Tuesday which I left before they started. Seating was limited, though, and that was a minor drawback. We wanted to relax in a booth but we were fine sitting up at the bar!

Drinks are overpriced, and alcohol is over poured. I ordered a mixed drink one time that was almost completely vodka. Ive been groped by intoxicated men several times when theyre overcrowded. In the day time, I came to do some work, and a couple of employees/owners had their children running around screaming and barefoot. It was frustrating and stressful, and the WiFi was SLOW.

Be it Wednesday Night and I need to zone out and get some work done or Saturday night and I need to dance and have good time, Drugstore Cowboy is my first stop. The bartenders are definitely licensed mixologists, the drinks are insane and ALWAYS good. It feels like home and the spot all at the same time. If you plan to stay in Dallas, this will be a staple for you I am sure.

I had a great time at drugstore cowboy! Great atmosphere! Great service! I didnt have to wait all night for my drinks. The music was awesome! I got there around 11:00pm and by 11:30 the place was packed with people having great time! The bar ran incredibly smooth. I told the manager how pleased I was with the service I believe his was Gianni. I will definitely be back!

the bar adds a $15.00 authorization hold on your account which seems borderline illegal to me since its not communicated at the time of purchase. They also dont have a phone number listed, which makes calling to handle transaction discrepancies a pain in the A. However, Jared the coffee shop guy is extremely chill and cleared everything up. 5 stars for Jared.

Hit and miss. dont go there if the girl makes coffee... She can make plain coffee but not other ice flavor coffee.. We been there often guys usually make good coffee.. But the girl... When we saw the girl outside of the door we are going to emporium pie... They have better french press coffee anyway.

Its been fun to see Deep Ellum line business after business to create its own atmosphere & identity, enter Drugstore Cowboy. Comfy, fitting & without pretense. Efficient & warm, the joe is great, the coffee shop Deep Ellum needed & the one it deserved. Also, great, in-store made breakfast tacos.

If you havent been to Drugstore cowboy you need to reevaluate your life... seriously. The best coffee, cocktails, mention kambucha. Gianni is the best bartender Ive ever had the extraordinary privilege to be served by. Like WOW he can really make a drink. Definetely will be back!

Yummm!! I am so glad I found this gem. I bet it turns into an awesome bar at night. They have some creative drinks and its a fun atmosphere. I had a strawberry and hibiscus tea and an Italian panini and both were delicious. The guys that work in there were super kind too.

Love the open space! Yes, it looks a little shady from the outside, but once inside it has a nice warehousey feel with nice wooden decor. Came here for coffee (latte is good!) - but they also have a bar. Plenty of tables to do work & free wifi.

Maybe the owners could look around and find out that the place is wildly disorganized and quite filthy looking. A good 6 hour deep clean would improve the space immensely. Maybe everyone could come in early one day and take care of that?

I wasnt very happy with the coffee or service at first. Some of the stuff felt unwelcoming and very cold, but there was a new very friendly girl. Thanks to her I felt much better here. Otherwise there would be no more than 2 stars ....

Good atmosphere and nice people. Excellent coffee and tea. It appears that theres live music which Ill have to check out. On the downside, no decaf coffee and the beer is $6 for 12 oz can (pretty standard for the area though).

Great coffee. Amazingly good. The ambience is nice but more cozy seating would definitely help the vibe here. Went on a Sunday around noon and the place was busy but not crowded and fairly quiet.

Loved the white mocha with lavender! My first time drinking coffee like that. Great laid back atmosphere with live music! Wish I could post a clip of the band called Movmnt they are great!

Great atmosphere & quality bar tending by the Manager Gianni. I had a variety of drinks, including their coffee, and was pleasantly surprised. Have Gianni make you an old fashioned, delicious.

Lets be honest, its silly how hipster this place is. But also, they make excellent espresso drinks and have great well-presented tea. Its a nice open space with seating at tables or a bar.

Great ambiance when you need some coffee and a place to do laptop work during the week. I LOVE that they keep the music low during the day. Some cafes are so loud its impossible to think.

This place has very good cold brew that isnt bitter. However, there was a DJ playing super loud music at 3pm which felt out of place and made it very tough to hang out there.
