This is a new Walmart! Theres another large Walmart further east of this Crossroads location, about 2 to 3 miles on HWY380 (this area is known as University Dr., Denton, next to Sams Club and near I35E and Cracker Barrel) that is brand new as well. And when I say new I mean less than 5 years old. I am disabled ... and while they have about 6 to 8 handicap carts, it never seems like thats enough. Ive varied the times I have gone to the store, AM/mid afternoon/lunch/9pm (never dinner time - cuz geez its nuts then and like only 5 cashiers, just crazy). If you go into the pharmacy side its a hit or miss on getting a cart, they mostly return the carts to the produce side. There are supposed to be greeters there so they say hello, check your returns and to keep an eye on the carts (thank God for the benches or Id pass out, walking is very difficult for me). But mostly theyre not there at all. Why the greeters and the kids who get the carts dont have walkie-talkies to communicate with so they stay on top of the carts locations is a mystery to me. Theyre kids toys, THEY CARRY THEM, theyre cheap AND they can write them off as a business expense. Plus the carts can be scattered all over the parking lot. Because theyre disabled and handicap people should be the only people who leave the carts near their cars. Thee kids should bexpect constantly circling the parking lot......CAN YOU TELL THIS HAPPENS TO ME A LOT! ***EVERY TIME I GO THERE*** The produce section, oye ve dont get me started. Ive repeatedly told them that they are out of parsley, cabbage, leeks, cucumbers, cauliflower, basically every known vegetable to man. However, I think they think that carrots, celery and onions are the only vegetables known to man. But then again they could be back in the stock areas but theres never anyone to ask. You can never find anyone theyre actually restocking. Except bananas, I always see them talking bananas. When it came to these past holidays, Christmas and Thanksgiving, they were out of everything and I mean an early. I ended up driving to the Lewisville location on Hebron Parkway to shop. They had everything available and everything was beautiful. The choices that were available in both produce, dairy, bakery, and on the standard shelves was amazing. They knew their clientele. They knew that their customers were of different nationalities, they were painting with a rainbow of colors not just egg shell white. I actually found a guava, imagine that. I didnt grow up with guavas but I like then and this Walmart thought I would too. IMAGINE!!! Lastly the check out lines...... come on .... 5 lines at dinner time is unacceptable, pull someone from break (they can always go back on break when it dies down or CSMs jump in! Thats why cross training is key to any successfull business..Yes Walmart, I was in the customer service business too and very successful at it, but life had other plans for my health). Because an hour wait in a handicap cart that hasnt been fully charged can cause even more grumpiness to customers that have been waiting for 20 minutes to check out and now Im the one stuck at the register and have to wait for a new cart, and there arent any available so now they all hate me ...leading us back to the beginning of this post. So yes Ill drive further to another Walmart or chain store if it means I can shop and get everything I need one time.

The one star it gets is for the mere convenience of the location and the convenience it is to have a Walmart in the area. Milk is overpriced (always $2 cheaper at the 423/Eldorado location... Thats $8 in savings for me) Lines are too long, even the self checkout and express at peak hours. Avoid this place like the plague on weekends. Had a negative encounter with a customer service rep at the counter. The one time I actually have a receipt in hand, Im denied a return because of "policy", but if I had returned it without a receipt it would have been exchanged for store credit. My sons tablet took a dump the day before we went on a family trip. I still had the box and manuals, etc. Just no receipt... Mind you the rep was diligent in proving a point about me keeping a receipt for ALL electronics, didnt really budge on customer satisfaction, only to quickly deny any and all attempts to keep me shopping there. So she dug through an extensive database of serial numbers and found my product was out of warranty. If I had known my kids tablet would have not lasted longer than a few months I would not have purchased it. The value of the returns were less than $200 including my kids tablet. Within the past 12 months Ive spent AT LEAST $10k at this Walmart. So the CSM at this location turned want would have been a 2% loss (if you even want to call it that) into this long rant and with the Kroger opening up the road it will make it alot easier to stop shopping here and take my business elsewhere. Ive seen bigger exchanges that were worth more than what I was planning to exchange go successfully and with no questions asked for store credit. I was just going to re use the money to buy things for our vacation at this Walmart and exchange the tablet to entertain my kid on our road trip. To top things off I was a 4 star cashier and a CSM at a Walmart in 1999. Ive been on both sides of the picture and can tell you the service (and condescending tone from the short dark haired older CSM) I received today is beyond sub par. Thank you for the wake up call. With Kroger opening up in a few months, it would be wise to make your customers happy because it wont take much for this Walmart to lose business like it did today.

They argue about returns. They dont stock the correct items with the correct pricing tags. And some how thats your fault. They are out of items a lot. And the only reason they get a two star is because they are right around the corner. Yet at the same time I HATE they they are the only thing near me and around the corner. I bought a pair of sandles for my 22 m. Old daughter on Saturday from them along with a bunch of other things. Put them on her when we got home cuz she just haaaad to wear them. Well I struggled with the right shoe getting it on. And it looked like it was kind of snug. Well later that evening when I got them off. I held them up to each other and they are a whole size difference. And yet bother say size 6. Well I couldnt find the receipt worth the life of me. I could the previous one, and others. Just not that one. And since I just bought them and wasnt wanting to return them just exchange I figured it would be okay. Boooy was I wrong. I got told that I could have gotten that shoe from any where. And I could not exchange it. And I live in a new developed area. "THERE IS NOTHING ELSE OUT HERE" Buuut yea Im sure tonz of people would totally drive 25-30 min. Some where else for a $7.00 pair of toddler shoes just so they could exchange at Wallie World and rip them off the $7.00. Yea, thats it... Thats totally how Im gonna take over Walmart. One pair of toddler shoes at a time.
