My family had been excited to try out this new place. Pie afterall is a wonderful thing. But it did not exceed our expectations. It did not even meet them. While the staff was friendly and helpful the pies just werent knock out stars, which I expected from a place specializing in them. We had gone with several smaller mini pies so we could sample the offerings. The lemon pie was too mild and subtle, the strawberry tasted too much like spoonfuls of strawberry jam, and the apple pie just lacked pizzazz and felt bland. The pecan pie was hardly an exemplar either, and the I40 was also lacking. Pies start at the crust, and this crust didnt wow our family. While it was better than most pre-fabricated store bought crusts, I felt like it couldnt make up its mind. Did it want to be crispy? Flaky? It just crumbled apart. All of the crusts almost seemed slightly undercooked. If you want average tasting pies you can go here, but for cheaper you could just get a nice frozen pie or head to the Bakery section of the grocery store and in most cases purchase something comparable, and in some cases better. Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop may be 5 minutes from the house, but for exemplary pie well be heading elsewhere.

Been in a lot only got one pie that was not up to par the crust was a mess tasted good but was a crumbly mess wish they had more variety and every day of the week instead of on the weekend which means since I drive 20 miles to get their pies my plans have to revolve them to get the product I want . Now on customer service it is not all that not for a small shop like this one I know your pies are good but come on some friendly customer service to all would be nice and if you dont have the pie in the case that you are pushing for that 20 mile drive I make to get it how about making sure the product is restocked instead of saying I will have to go see if we have anymore really now at 10 am you are going to say that to me you really need learn CS 101

So, they have 4 kinds of pies, pecan (2 variants), buttermilk, coconut and strawberry. No chocolate to be seen. So, I paid $26 for a strawberry pie. With the pastry competition around Colleyville/ HEB, I figured a $26 pie would blow my mind, as there are some real good ones around for half that. It is a good pie, but not mind blowingly so. Good crust, filling tasted fresh-ish (was expecting made today kind of fresh for that price) and certainly not made with fresh strawberries (my guess, frozen). Also sampled 2 cookies, thumbprint, lemon and vanilla. Very strong flavor, decent, MIGHT be better than market street, tough to call they are very close to the same, not as good as Texas Star.

If you have not been to Colleyville, then this is reason enough to come out and visit. From the outside looking in there doesnt seem extraordinary, but like your grandma would say, "Dont judge a book by its cover." The sweet as pie team greets you from behind the counter and welcomes you to try a free sample. Then youre hooked! Try out a couple mini pies first to discern which is your favorite. My personal go to pies are the mint brownie or the "I-40" pecan chocolate chip. Both of which are delectable.

Was traveling thru on my way back to Houston. I bought a buttermilk, Strawberry, and chocolate pie. I could not tell you which one was my favorite because they where all sooooooo good!! You can definitely taste the freshness in the pies and strawberries. Im glad I didnt trust a previous review on the strawberry pie. The strawberries and pie itself was by far the best Ive ever had! I would definitely recommend stopping by even if its a little out of the way. Well worth the stop!!

Stopped in right at closing. The staff was so sweet and didnt rush us. An I40, chocolate meringue and 2 vanilla cookies later we were on our way. The I40 was divine. Eat the crumbs good. My son loved the cookies. Sadly my daughter dropped her meringue upside down on the floor, but the dog seemed to love it before we could stop her ;) We will be regulars and cant wait to try the ice cream mixtures.

$4.25 for a 4 inch pie and $26 for a 9 inch pie. I was expecting a really good pie because of the reviews but its just ok. The lemon icebox pie dont have much lemon flavor and it was really sweet. The coconut cream pie was the same but even sweeter. The box that it came in was the best thing about the pie. Be maybe I will come back for the keylime pie in July.

We decided to give this place a try to help with a sweet craving after dinner and are glad we did. Tried the buttermilk, i40, pecan, and lemon ice box. I do wish the lemon was a little more tart. Too sweet for my taste (but not too sweet that we didnt finish it). We recommend you try the i40 for sure and buttermilk as a close second.

wont go there again. The coconut meringue pie was not a meringue ...it was a marshmellowy/creamy top. Family wouldnt eat it. Had to throw the 28.00 pie away. When I asked about the pie before ordering..they said that it was a meringue coconut pie and not a creme.

This little shop is great! The people are very sweet and helpful (we had never been there before), the shop itself is very clean and adorable, down to the little wooden utensils and minuture milk jugs. And most importantly, the pies are delicious!

My family and I love your pies! We usually get 4 minis so we can sample them all. Anytime I need to take a dessert somewhere, I make sure to come to Buttermilk Sky and grab a pie. The strawberry and I 40 are my favorites.

I cant lie these pies are amazing! They remind me of what I had at the Loveless Cafe in Tennessee. If you have a urge for pie, search no more! Also, it nice having quality this close to home and not located in Dallas

They have both mini 4 inch pies and 9inch. We have tried the apple (yummy), coconut cream(needs more coconut) and Smores (very rich, but good). They use Italian meringue, which is way better than regular meringue.

Beautiful little pie shop..the fruit pies are just almost too pretty to eat..you can get one big pie, or a 4-pie individual size pie sampler. The employees are very warm and welcoming. Fabulous place.

Amazing pies- we tried the buttermilk and the one with pecans, chocolate, and coconut. And this might be the best pie crust Ive ever tasted. I usually skip the crust but it was delicious.
