Smart Buy lives up to its name. I purchased a desk chair there from owner Tom Doane, an extremely personable fellow who went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that I found a chair that fit both me and my budget. Tom spent a lot of time personally guiding me through the huge selection of chairs on display in his showroom. He recommended new chairs to try based on my preferences and comments regarding what I liked or dislike about the chairs I had already sat in. He never pushed me to buy something I wasnt 100% satisfied with, and his genuine priority was to educate me about all of the potential models and materials, not just sell me any chair. I left Smart Buy with more knowledge about the differences between top-grain leather, split leather, and bonded leather than I even knew existed beforehand. The selection at Smart Buy is also great. I had initially looked for a chair at the big chain stores (Office Depot, etc.), and they had only a few models on display per store and the prices seemed high. Smart Buy had ten times the number of chairs and the prices were reasonable. It can be a little tough to find this place as its set back from the road--I zoomed right past it my first attempt. But even if you miss it once, go back around the block and try again. A little bit of extra effort to find Smart Buy is well worth it, and I couldnt be more satisfied with my experience. I would highly recommend Smart Buy whether youre looking for an inexpensive chair for school or a high-quality chair for use at home or the office.

I am updating my office and stopped in Smart Buy as a result of a google search for used office furniture. I almost didnt make that "last stop of the day," but I am so glad I did! Tom greeted me immediately and was very friendly and interested in the overall picture of the changes I am making. This was important to me, as these changes are a big part of my professional and personal development. I wanted to buy from someone who was interested in really helping me get furniture that was going to work well, rather than just trying to sell me something. Tom was supportive, knowledgable, and patient. It took me some time to decide on the particular desk that would work best for my space, and he worked with me through the process, encouraging me to bring in my flooring and paint samples to make sure it all matched well. He was involved, giving me helpful feedback, but not pushy or intrusive. He also showed me some used, or scratch and dent items that were virtually like new, and created a package deal of sorts which allowed me to have a discount. This was so helpful, as I am definitely on a budget. From beginning to end it was a pleasant and enjoyable experience working with Tom...and it was certainly a welcome change to deal with a business owner who cares about the needs of his customers. I highly recommend Tom and Smart Buy if youre considering a change in your office or furnishing an office. He has high quality furniture, very reasonably priced, and will help you get what you need.

This is an excellent place to shop for used, high-quality office furniture -- very highly recommended. I purchased two ergonomic desk chairs at Smart Buy on 11/16/2015, and had a very positive experience. Tom D. had a large variety of chairs for sale at different price levels, and the personalized service was top-notch. He was very welcoming, made a point of understanding both my needs and my budget, and then guided me to various chairs that might be good options. Tom really focuses on educating his customers; he knew all about the adjustment possibilities and also the construction of each model, and was very glad to share this knowledge with me. He could clearly explain the pros and cons of each option, but there was no high-pressure sales pitch, and I could take as much time as I wanted to try out anything in the store. I definitely felt like I learned a lot, and he was willing to negotiate a bit on the price so that I could get my top choices and still stay within my budget. I walked away with a very good deal on two very nice chairs that will serve me well for years. Seriously, dont buy new or used office furniture until youve visited this store!

This is a wonderful place to buy your office furniture, I highly encourage everyone to go here. My fiancé and I went into Smart Buy to buy a new computer chair and desk. Tom was an excellent person to work with. He is very knowledgeable and seems dedicated to making sure his clients make an informed purchase that they will enjoy for years to come. He was respectful of our budget, and took time to not only show us, but explain to us our options. He demonstrated the value in each, and when we made a decision, he offered us an incredibly fair price. His wife, Twyla, was also very helpful in making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy and maintain our product after the purchase. Delivery was prompt and very reasonable. They will even help you set up your new furniture, and haul the old away if you wish. Should we ever need to buy more, we will definitely be going to back to Smart Buy. Thank you, Tom and Twyla!

Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thanks for your service! The desks have worked out perfectly. Blake Walsh knew we had a bad customer service experience with another company and he made sure he met and exceeded our expectations. We ordered the same desk that we previously ordered from the other company that were on back order for well over 6 weeks and saved well over $800. Not to mention that we received them in less than an week. Their delivery driver did a great job as well. Cleaned up after himself, showed me how the locks worked, explained that they had a master key and/or that we could reorder keys if need be, ect… So thanks again! You have earned our business and if anything else comes up that we will be in need of around the office I will be coming to you! AND referring to anybody that ask. I am a small business owner and run a medical practice. We needed to enhance the appearance and functionality of our medical office. Smart buy and the owners Tom and Twyla Doane were outstanding start to finish. Tom used a computer aided software program to show us how the furniture would work within our existing office space. He was very honest, polite, professional and knowledgable. We ended-up purchasing 17 desks from Smart buy. We compared Smart buy to office depot and other local Austin office furniture stores. Hands-down Smart buy had the best product, price and customer service. I would highly recommend them to individuals or companies wanting to purchase nice office furniture such as desks and chairs. I read other Google reviews and saw only 5 star ratings and I doubted any store could deserve such a rating. Well now Im here giving Smart Buy a 5 star rating. Smart Buy is an excellent find, great value, outstanding office furniture, and the service is helpful - NOT PUSHY AT ALL! I wasted nearly 3 weeks searching stores in Austin for my home office furniture. I was in Smart Buy for less than 10 minutes before deciding EXACTLY what I wanted. From that point, Smart Buy helped fit my wants/needs into my budget and I left the store a VERY satisfied customer. Thank you Smart Buy for helping me get my home office off to a great start! I will continue shopping at Smart Buy for my home office needs.
