Yesterday I was humiliated beyond belief when I experienced a “Pretty Woman” type experience thanks to manager Margo Deschner. I was shopping with my 13 year old daughter for summer clothing and shoes. I also picked up several other items for my 2 ½ year old son and husband. I spent 2 ½ hours at the store sorting through everything and grabbing a few extra items for a store I am opening in a month. When I reached the register my daughter was being questioned by Margo and had a terrified look on her face. I said what’s going on and Margo says “I can’t sell you a single item in your cart, because I know you are opening a clothing store.” I was asked to look up at a sign as she read to me and told me she has complete discretion as to whom she can sell to, and she decided to refuse to sell to me. I was dumfounded. She had people walking around and ease dropping on mine and my daughter’s conversations. I shop at the Nordstrom’s at the Barton Creek Mall and have bought THOUSANDS of dollars on Tory Burch, etc. This was handled extremely poorly and as a result I will NEVER step foot in another Nordstrom store again.

First time I shopped here the 16 year old behind the register forgot to take the security sensors off two items (bummer cuz my daughter wanted to take them on a trip the next day). Interesting that it didnt set off the alarm! Came back today to get tags temoved and purchase new items, braving the long line. A register opened up, the cashier looked at me and said "next" and as I took my first step, the manager (Jackie?) walked in front of me and brought another customer to the open register. I can understand if the customer was already in the middle of a transaction and now returning, but a quick apology from Jackie to me/us in line would have been considerate. If you have the patience then expect to find some good deals, but dont expect traditional Nordstrom service. Even the Nordstrom Rack in California has better service than this location.

Waited in line in the so called express lane, for 20 minutes, or more, the two girls working it on Tuesday May 16th 2017. They were saying system was very slow, blond girl finish with her customer, went up front to get another customer to check her out as I had been standing in the AS SO CALL EXPRESS LANE!! After she finish with that customer she was getting ready to go back up to the front to get some else to check. Until the other girl told her to help me. Little blond girl claims, OH I DID NOT SEE HER. The express area is not that big. And I was the only one there waiting, and a few minutes later someone else came up behind me. REALLY YOU DID NOT SEE ME!! YEA RIGHT. STORE #736. PERSON CHECKED ME OUT KATLYN B. 12:22PM. 1036 REGISTER NUMBER. TRANSACTION # 4204.

My favorite shopping spot in Austin. Love this place. This is my go-to shop in Austin when I need to find clothes. They have designer brands, but the pricing wont give you sticker shock. Granted, its still a little pricey, but for the brands you are getting its definitely reasonable. Another thing that makes this place great is how frequently they change out their inventory. If you like something, buy it, because it may not be there when you go back. My advice? Get a Nordstrom Rack card. Whether its connected to your debit account or you can go the credit route. It is incredibly easy to rack up points here and then you get Nordstrom notes (a gift card to the store). Glad to have it so close to me!

Great place for clothes. Ive found shirts by Robert Graham and Burberry, among others, here. Even at Nordstrom Rack those brands still arent cheap (the Robert Graham shirt was $85 iirc) but its still a lot better than youll find at a full-on Nordstrom or Neiman Marcus (there a Robert Graham can run you $200+). They also have designer underwear (well Calvin Klein) for cheaper than Target has their regular underwear for lol. They do alterations even on stuff you didnt buy from there (although youll pay more if youre bringing it in) and do a great job on those too.

The GOOD: Decent stock in home/makeup/mens/lingerie sections, staff is helpful and professional, the shoe section at all NR stores is always impressive, prices are good. The BAD: Gateway store always seems like a hot mess. The entire womens section is crammed/overcrowded. I find multiple damaged clothing items on every visit, have stopped looking at clearance section altogether. Entire store feels a bit sad and neglected. Maybe its newer but I prefer the Sunset Valley store.

Love Nordstrom and love the Rack even more. There is so much to choose from, it takes a patient person to dig through everything to find an amazing deal. Ive never found a once in a life time deal here, but I hear about people finding it all the time. The parking has gotten much better since the other Whole Foods open down the street. There is a great selection of shoes and purses. I love the return policy here as well as the people that work here are so friendly and nice.

My last visit here I basically got a whole new wardrobe for 300 dollars. The Racks stock can sometimes fluctuate depending on the season, but this visit I found over 15 shirts, 5 shorts, and some jeans that were a perfect fit for me, and saved hundreds of dollars of the regular Nordstrom pricing. If you want to be in style and get the same stuff at Nordstrom for a third of the price check out the Rack. Hands down best place to dress in style and save money.

I love the shoe selection...but I wont be able to shop there anymore. I bought two pairs of shoes. Their gummy price tags were stuck to the inside soles of the shoes so when you remove the tags, part of the shoe insole pulls off with them! These tags ruin the shoes! Why cant the tags be stuck to the bottom of the shoes?? This makes no sense. So BEWARE...dont buy shoes with the tags stuck to the inside, or you will be returning them promptly!

As a 6 foot 200 lbs guy this place has a great selection of good to decent mens clothing. Most clothing stores cater to women more than men. This store is no different but at least what they do have for men is varied high end taste. I also like this store because they have shoes with Wide widths. Check out can be a long queue. Look for any staff with a neon green shirt they can check you out with their mobile device :)

Ive only been twice, but both times I have found great deals, including shirts and skirts for under $10. I also got awesome jeans and a sweater at very reasonable prices. You may have to do some digging, especially in the sale items, but you can find hidden gems. Definitely come at a time when you have time to spare. Then step across the parking lot to Whole Foods, and treat yourself to a cake ball!

I LOVE this place. If you need a cute dress fast and under $30 this is the place to be. The selection is amazing and there is new stuff coming in every day. The racks are organized by size and price so its easy to find what you need in the price you want to spend. As for the staff, they are just as great. I adore how the fitting room attendants are honest and helpful when asking for advice.
