Epoch Coffee offers a wide spectrum of coffee, both exotic and quotidian. Theyre just across the parking lot from the Village Alamo Drafthouse, so theyre a perfect place to take up the slack in the schedule if I arrive too early for the movie or, on a rainy day, a good place to dry out after a soggy journey. I was pleasantly surprised that their basic coffee was only $2.50, unlike at massive corporate chains where a plain cup of Joe runs $5. They also have the gamut of latte, cappuccino, cold brew coffees, and theres a remarkably detailed preparation process called a V60 Pourover, which is a painstaking process calculated to bring out the nuances of find coffee on the discerning palate. They have a varying assortment of tasty pastries, but they didnt have the éclair I craved so badly yesterday. The man behind the counter was gracious and made me feel as though I had the wisdom of Solomon and the educated tastes of Anthony Bourdain. After those contemplative moments sipping my coffee, I accelerated across the parking lot for a good movie.

Epoch in the sense that it shares the name, but Epoch north is Corporate AF. These people have possibly the worst drip coffee Ive tasted in a while. I order this with the same caution that I order gas station coffee... weird seeing its a coffee shop. I also have been REALLY disappointed with the cold brew lately. It taste like its intentionally brewed with hard water. Its kind of gross. Im growing less and less impressed with this place every time I go there. The music is TERRIBLE and louder each time I go here. The people who work there seem to be more edgy each time I go there, which is no good claim. Im a long time regular, but I hate this place more every time I go there. As someone who loves coffee, Id recommend epoch north loop. Skip this dive.

This coffee shop is one of the coldest ones Ive been to. Be sure to bring a sweater if you easily get cold. Hoping that they warm this place up when its wintertime! Their coffee is solid and they have a wide variety of food items available. Be sure to try their paninis--specifically the curry one. With the PayPal promotion still going on, you can manage getting a sandwich for 3 dollars. Thats quite a deal for the size of sandwich they give you. The Internet isnt laggy here as it is at some other shops and the lighting is great too. Theres also an option to sit outdoors in their patio area when the weather isnt too hot/cold.

Love the coffee/lattes/breakfast tacos/muffins/pizza/etc., which is obviously reason number 1 to go here. Love the baristas, who are all attentive, nice, and make me feel at home every time I go. Love the rotating art work on the wall. Love the outside seating in the plaza behind. Meanwhile at the far end of the parking lot, every single morning, I see the sad long line of people sitting in their cars frustratingly waiting to get their chance at the drive through at Starbucks. Epoch is a classic Austin coffee joint, and this north location is a great place to stop at with plenty of parking.

My favorite brew of coffee in town. I always try to make cold brew coffee at home but it never turns out anywhere close to Epoch. I go here to work 3-4 times a week and enjoy the cold brew toddy and awesome atmosphere. Super vibrant place, always something going on. The staff is friendly, restrooms are clean, and did I say the coffee is amazing? Try the Iced Mojo when you go, it is a special drink I have only had at epoch and it rocks. If you have a low caffeine tolerance take it easy because everything is strong, just the way I like it.

I love this shop, Ive been going since they opened a couple years ago. Ive also frequented the other location for many years prior to the opening of the Village location. They serve quality coffee, my lattes are always delicious! The staff is super friendly and polite. The roasts are smooth, never bitter.. I appreciate the time taken by the staff to prepare each beverage correctly.. weighing the shots, setting timers, etc.. I know its what makes it all so great. These guys are awesome!

Have only been here once so far but look forward to visiting again. I got an Americano - half decaf and they gave me no grief for my special request! The flavor was good, the baked goods looked lovely, and the space was begging me to take a seat and relax. The only complaint is that the giant parking lot was oddly really full when I went by! It was around 10am on a weekend too so very odd. It is next door to a gym, however, so perhaps that was it. It never hurts to walk though guys!

Decent coffee shop. Takes coffee seriously. Unfortunately, the result is often less than stellar (eg: my last latte tasted like hot milk). Concrete floor, open ceilings, mostly hardwood chairs with a few comfy seats up front. Bad art doesnt help the general lack of inviting coffee house ambiance. Inexplicably they only use Mexican chocolate for mochas - somebody obviously thinks this adds flair. In a city challenged for good coffee shops, youll go here, but you wont love it.

A bunch of stuck up feminists! Walk in, everyone is super rude and give off a horrible vibe. I was super friendly and nice. They arent. Just look at you when you say thank you. Absolutely will no be back. My skin crawls to think about walking into that discriminating place! Coffee was crap too! Save yourself some time and get a McDonalds coffee or just a cup of Folgers, because even that coffee will be better the this overpriced, hipster, discrimination coffee!

Went out on a Tuesday night to get a cup of coffee and get some work done only to be told that they closed at 10 pm and all the chairs were stacked up. It was 10:30 and according to their website and hours, they claim to be open until midnight. I was really looking forward to trying this place a second time due to the first time I went being rather meh on the coffee. Very disappointing that they dont update their sites accordingly.

I will be honest with you, the beverages here are pretty decent, they even have a good drip coffee, However, it isnt worth it because the Baristas here are some of the rudest people Ive ever met in my life. If you are willing to be treated like trash in exchange for an Ok cup of coffee, this is the place for you. If you have any self worth though and dont appreciate rude people, I would look elsewhere.

Nice place, but for whatever reason the coffee itself is not so good. I mean, I am no coffee expert, but I make my own coffee at home in an ordinary machine starting with Anderson ground beans, and its way better than what I get at Epoch. Now, that said, the place is friendly and pleasant, and the people are nice. Generally plenty of parking. Good selection of snacks, pastries, etc.

I swear one of these days I am gonna hop the counter & make my own damn coffee! Hell, Id pay double If I could get in & out of there in under 20 mins, most of which is spent waiting for coffee lady to wrap up a conversaition with the only other human in there. Why are you punishing me?! P.S.- sorry I clawed a small section of paint off you wall while leaning on it, I got bored.
