Austin Flower Company is a fantastic place for flowers! They have decent prices and a really great variety of flowers. I have been in there a few times and the first visit was a great experience thanks to a very helpful staff member (Kyle?). Another visit was even greater with a most courteous and most helpful staff member (sorry I cant remember his name). The third visit was horrendous. Dear Austin Flower Company: please remove your poor excuse of a staffer by the name of Danny. She has terrible customer service skills and doesnt know how to turn around and greet your customers when they enter your shop. Instead, she stands there with her back to customers and when she does finally acknowledge, her tone is extremely disrespectful, curt and totally condescending.Theres no excuse for nastiness in the work place, especially when you are dealing face to face with customers who are paying big money for your flowers. As I said, you have a great flower shop but having a disrespectful, nasty, unhelpful staffer is a business killer. Get Danny out of there!!!!!!!!! or get her some customer service training because shes going to talk to the wrong person the wrong way at the wrong time and you could have a huge problem on your hands. Im sure this isnt the first time she has acted this way toward your customers and Im sure shes ruined much repeat business for you. Most customers just wont come back after that kind of ill treatment. Her behavior is unacceptable. Thankfully, you have some great staff members that are really great and know how to treat your customers and because of their awesome assistance I will return. I urge you to train Danny on how to provide good customer service and how to talk to customers in the proper tone with dignity and respect. Or better yet, get rid of her and find someone else who is happy to work for their pay. Im sure theyre out there.

VERY disappointed with Austin Flower Co. Contacted them 1-2 mos before he wedding to arrange the kind of roses and lillies we wanted. Was told "no problem" over and over again both by Stephanie and Allana. They were insistent because we had such a small order (2 doz of each) that it was not necessary to "order" they get those on regular deliveries all the time. Confirmed and talked with them again the week before wedding and even the week of....again "no worries we have your name down for pick up "! When I arrived to pick up day before wedding, I was told they didnt have "exactly" what I wanted, but what they did have was basically just about the same !! I used to wonder why there were "bridezillas" ! He proceeded to tell me it was admin/secretary week and they were extremely busy that week and must have run out ! The Caba lillies were now StarGaze and the peach roses, were now yellow with a hint of peach. Not too mention the lillies would probably not open in time...because "we" didnt set them out days before ! PLEASE DO NO PLACE ORDERS with this store, walk in and buy only what you see with your own eyes ! VERY,VERY aggravated with there lack of professional customer service skills.

Anderson High School ordered 75 Orlando Roses and picked them up on Thursday before the Prom on Saturday. By Saturday, they were droopy with brown petals and the arrangements had to be revised. The Events Planner at the Hotel was appalled but was not surprised when we mentioned where we purchased them. When I, one of the moms, contacted them on Tuesday, after the class officers had met, and informed Austin Flower of the situation, the manager became quite argumentative and said we should have returned them as they had a 24 hour return policy. I asked if that was in writing and she said no and were the students who picked up the flowers told that. We were given old flowers and the manager defended their actions. By the way, they are open on Sunday afternoons if you need to return flowers. These students at least deserved some flowers for graduation arrangements. This was a good lesson for the students on how not to run a business.

Have had very good luck with the quality of flowers in the past. However, last time we visited AFC, the roses died overnight. When we called, we were told "no problem" - it would be taken care of next time we came in. Well, it was a year later that we came back. First, we were lectured by staff about store policy. We asked to speak to the manager, a very friendly gentleman who told us he would comp some roses for us - made us feel better. Unfortunately, the staff never followed through and the manager didnt either. So, Id say - good quality flowers most of the time, but watch what they are charging you, because they may not be.

I recently bought a dieffenbachia plant from Austin Flower Co. Heres how I rate my experience: Customer Service: 5 out of 5 (friendly, patient, and informative staff) Prices: 5 out of 5 (the plant was huge and pretty cheap :p) Selection: 4 out of 5 (plants ranged from high-maintenance to novice-friendly) Freshness of Plant: 5 out of 5 (I can tell that this plant has experienced a lot of care and nurturing at the hands of the staff) Overall Experience: 5 out of 5 (I would definitely go there again!)

On 9-10 I bought hydrangeas for a bridal show that was 2 days later. I kept my fingers crossed that these notoriously delicate blooms wouldnt shrivel up before the show. Not only did they last throughout the show, two and a half weeks later I finally threw them out because I was tired of changing the water. They were still fresh!!! The helpful man at the counter put water picks on each one to help me get them back to my place of business.

I came into this shop for the first time to order flowers for a friends wedding. The shop only needs a week in advance to order flowers and has a large variety of flowers to choose from in the store. I specifically worked with Gaynor and Dillan. They were very friendly and cut us a great deal with the order we made. I recommend this flower shop because of how personal Gaynor and Dillan are to meet just a random consumers needs like mine.

I went here last week, hunting for some peonies by the stem. They had a great selection of colors and flowers, especially peonies. I got 4 stems for 25$ w/tax. It made me really sad though, because they were completely dead within 2 days, when I bought them not yet fully bloomed ): . Went to HEB and bought some replacements ones, 5 stems (7 full flowers) for 14$ w/tax. So... super pretty flowers!! Maybe not worth it though.

i received a call this morning from another vendor saying that 90% of my order didnt come in...I immediately called AFC and Dylan is now my superman. He was able to pull 150 stems for me and the price was just right! The flowers are in great condition and I know my bride tomorrow will be more than pleased. Thanks to the amazing team at AFC and especially to Dylan for saving my day!

...but we didnt let them. We placed an order with them a month before our wedding, and it wasnt available when we got there. Instead of refunding the money, the charged us again. Miserable. Luckily for us HEB was accommodating and actually dismantled their bouquets so we could pick and choose which flowers we needed. Thank goodness for HEB. We love HEB, and we hate Austin Flower Co.
