I needed an idle cable for my Harley since the one I had broke. The guy at Harley suggested I go see Bill at Two Wheel World and he would rebuild my cable much cheaper than buying a new one. I walked in and all the employees were sitting around the front counter smoking which I thought was rather unprofessional. I spoke with Bill who was very rude and condescending. I almost told him to shove it and walked out, but I figured I would give them a chance since I was already there. He promised me the cable would be ready at a certain time and when I go there, he hadnt even started it and I had to wait while he did it. The good news is that they didnt charge me for it since it wasnt ready and they could tell I was very unhappy. When I finally did get it and took it to my mechanic it was too short and missing the spring and I had to take it back. The second time he rebuilt it, it was too long and still missing the spring. I dont know what was so hard about this since he bragged about how many years he had been rebuilding cables! I ended up going to the Harley dealership and buying a new cable because I was tired of dealing with Bill at Two Wheel World. Basically, I went to all that hassle and was treated rude, only to end up buying the part from Harley like I should have just done in the first place. I WOULD NOT GO SEE BILL AT TWO WHEEL WORLD IF YOU NEED YOUR CABLES REBUILT! SAVE THE FRUSTRATION AND GO TO LONGHORN HARLEY!!

I go in here just to BS with some of them. They are know their business and are pros at it. If you go in there like you know everything then they are going to prove you otherwise and youll walk out mad. If you go in there open minded to suggestions and can take some criticism then your good. They have never done me wrong, dont charge an arm a leg and your first born. I mean if you own a motorcycle then you should have thought about the cost of labor or known how to work on it. I go in there buy the parts and GTFO after a chat. Theyre good people. Bit on the nutty side but your an organ donor if youre going in there in the first place. So be nice they will be nice, be a prick they will be a prick. They have good prices and been there done that have the t-shirt and the beer can to prove it kind of people never had a problem always recommended. Go somewhere else with the same problem and see how much other places know about your bikes problem. Youre going to get some dummy who doesnt know his @ss from a hole in the ground. Then you will get an answer off yahoo answers from other places these guys can tell you what it is, why its happening, and how to fix it or how much they are going to charge you to fix it. No BS. Best place in Arlington to conduct business regarding bikes. Love the "No China made crap" sign they have above the register.

Brought in my SV1000 after hitting some road debris wrecking the front wheel. They happily painted and swapped my front wheel with one I brought with me, did a full tune (fluids, etc), and checked for any further damage I hadnt noticed (warped rotors) which ran about 240$ summed and told me that my chain really needed replacing (it totally did, they quoted ~$300 for kit + labour). Also, one of their mechanics offers to tow immobile bikes for a very reasonable price (40$ if I remember). Bike ran beautifully subsequently, but after a few dozen miles and a mildly heavy rear passenger, there was a wobble to the bike. In the course of swapping my chain, discovered that my rear brake side bearings had blown. SVs tend to have problems with water entry to said bearings so it is most likely this, but another possible differential is an over torqued rear axle. Also said, Im quiet happy with their work, but as always, Id recommend everyone to do some decent reading and part searching in order to save the most money.

Been having work done here for years.. parts/service/pricing has always been mediocre however i have usually enjoyed giving money to a small local business. The other day i was riding near there on my KLR and got a flat, called them up about getting a tube replaced and they told me it would be $35 to remove the wheel (less than 2 min on my dirt bike style Adv bike), $20 to "install the tube" (another 3-10 min), and THEN told me balancing would be another $10.. "Plus the price of the tube." I got it hm in my trk and removed the wheel myself in the described 2 min.. Cycle Gear off 183 threw in a new tube (including the tube) for $17 while i waited in about 15 min. Sucks when you try and go out of your way to support a place (drove past D&S forever) and they kick you when youre down! Their only marketable distinction has always been service and pricing.. you can do better on both at a factory dealer these days. 25 years of heading over and i wont be back!

I was not happy with my experience at all. Other than one of the mechanics(not the one assigned to my bike) and one of the guys up front. I dropped my bike off to clean the carb and to fix the odometer. And i planned on doing it myself but the mechanic insisted on doing it while it was in his care but put on mirrors and a license plate holder. It took them a month to clean the carburetor, which started smoking on my way home. They didnt get the part for the odometer and they charged me to put the mirror and license plate on. They over book themselves over 2 months of maintenance and do not refer out. The owner was not very helpful when i brought this to his attention and all he said was to bring it in for another two months of sitting there until finally getting work done. This may not be their average waiting time but allowing it to happen at all is bad for anyone who takes pride in what he does. Come here to buy gear but go to someone else for a mechanic.

I just tried to find a tire price. The guy on the phone this past Monday sounded like I was bothering him by offering my business and asking a few questions. What is so hard about giving a solid price quote buddy? You drove me away!!! I dont have to deal with the attitude of some brooding nut job that hates what he does for a living. There are other shops on this side of town you know. This has been my overall experience at TWW. Now, I will say that I think I met an older gentleman that worked there that was insanely nice and patient a few years back when I was searching for new gear. I only saw him the one time though. I have been with friends numerous times, and a few of my buddies swear by this place. But if I want bad customer service in a stinky smoky environment Ill go to the Waffle House.
