My wife and I have been remodeling a 1920s farmhouse since 2005. Although were soon to leave it behind, I wanted to mention that this Home Depot has been our go-to for all things plumbing, electrical, lumber, and hardware. Ive bought, returned, and exchanged here more times than I can count. They rarely dont have what we need, and Ive seen many of same employees for the nearly ten years that Ive been going here. My one beef with this location is that it has always seemed understaffed. If you need to find an employee to provide assistance, it can be difficult. I miss the assistance buttons that used to be prevalent in the aisles. Being able to push that button and have someone come right away to help is a great asset. Wherever I move to next, Ill be sure to find the nearest Home Depot to start a new home improvement partnership.

A Private User

I purchased a hot water heater through Home Depot on Saturday and their ONLY installer, H20 Plumbing, was to install early Monday morning (HD advertised "same day installation"). Waited for call till noon Mon, then called Home Depot contractor services who connected me with H20. They claimed they called my cell phone (not true), they said they were "overbooked," they said they didnt get paid enough by Home Depot to install water heaters, and they wanted me to apologize for demanding an installation time. I cancelled the installation & let the Home Depot Assistant Manager know that this company should no longer be used (the Store Manager was too busy to talk to me).

I do not like the layout of this store. Landscape lighting is not near the garden section nor the outdoor house lighting. I know this because I walked around lost. When I finally found an employee in lighting she walked me to the correct section aisles away. The associate in that section was busy so she found me a very knowledgeable man named Art. He helped me find what I needed and then when I checked out the cashier at self checkout was extremely helpful as well. You employees are helpful and knowledgeable; however, your store is not laid out well.

We waited over an hour to get mulch. After the fork truck died we had to go to the pit to pick up mulch. We ask if we needed to pay qst as it is around near the back of the building. Answer was no. Well after 5 bags were loaded out of 20 they ask me to walk around the building and pay. Thats fine except it is 90 degrees and I have already waited an hour to get mulch. The ladys at the register was very nice and did give me a discount. After 2 hours back home from a trip that should of taken 45 min tops

Seemed very understaffed tonight and I understand they have to adjust staffing on peak seasons. However, we were in line to check out and the cashier stated that we could go down to self check out and someone would help us. Well, no one came to check us out we had to go get checked out at the service desk.

Not all but, 3 out of 3 employees I asked about a item had no knowledge of item or where it was. Not sure why they didnt look it up on the store computer. It seems to look like they stock only items that move the fastest. Home Depot the Wal-Mart of hard ware.

Delivering products to this location is a joke! A store that depends on product to be brung in by truck sure dont think much of the truck drivers time! Got here a little early, and they cant even get to me on the time scheduled! WTF!

Love Home Depot. They are usually less expensive then Lowes. Like Lowes though its hard to find someone to help you at the Oak Ridge Home Depot.
