I went to this place and found the staff completely worthless. Three of them sat behind the front desk as I walked in and none of them made an effort to acknowledge me. They seemed confused, as if they werent sure why I was in the store. I had to walk up to the front desk, explain that I was a new customer, and that I needed contacts. They immediately tried to find a reason not to deal with me. First, they laughed at me when I showed them my contact box because they said they couldnt help me without a prescription. I told them they should be able to because 1800 contacts does it for me based on the information on the box. Their laughs stopped immediately as they scrambled for an adequate response. Then they told me that 1800 contacts can do that because they can call my eye doctor to verify. I then had to suggest that they could do the same, but they could not seem to figure that out on their own. Finally the person at the desk said, "ok, whats your doctors number?" Unfortunately, I did not have my doctors number at that time since I had left my cellphone at home. This is what drove me over the edge and is the reason why I left the store. The lady had a computer right in front of her and did not even make the effort to google what my doctors number might be. At that point, I just walked away. Im not asking that stores throw flower petals in front of me as I walk in but come on, show a little interest in making the sale. Make an effort, even if its just the small effort of saying, "hey maybe we can help you find your doctors number with this computer that is sitting right in front of my face". The worst part, as I was walking out this guy behind the desk actually mocked me. Im new to the city so he felt the need to say, "welcome to nashville, sorry you cant see it yet." He really cracked himself and his two co-workers up. I hope these three realize that they are not the only place in Nashville where one could purchase contact lenses. I would hope that at some point their supervisor would concern him or herself with giving these three some better training.

AWFUL!! DO NOT RECOMMEND! I went in to purchase a cheap pair of glasses as I wear my contacts most of the time. They supposedly pulled up my insurance to see what would be covered. Based on that I purchased glasses. 3 weeks later I received a letter from my insurance stating that they would not be able to cover the amount of my glasses because Doctors ValuVision was not in my network. My insurance provider even told me that they would not have given him my info being that I was "out of network". I am not sure what the guy behind the counter was referencing, but he totally LIED to me! I am now on the hook for the amount my insurance wont pay. I would have been able to get a really nice pair of glasses spending the amount I will spend on a crappy, cheap, made in china pair. Docotors ValuVision is apparently not responsible because I should have checked with my insurance provider before purchasing. I still cannot get over that I was completely lied to, and he fabricated that he even had my insurance records. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. NEVER USE!!!!

the reason you should not get glasses here if you need a strong prescription is that their high index lenses arent modern. the highest index of refraction for their high index lenses is 1.66. i have glasses from TEN years ago that have higher index lenses. what does this mean? coke bottle lense thickness! basically they are selling lenses from 10 years ago for todays prices. oh, and their new eagle vision lens is even thicker than their high index lens. if you are concerned about the thickness of your lenses, dont go here or you may end up looking like you have coke bottles on your face. p.s.- if you do choose to get their lousy high index lenses it will take them two weeks to order get your glasses done. ouch!

Visited to get contacts and have an eye exam. After my exam, they recommended that I pay for the exam and not use my insurance since I could use my insurance in a couple weeks for ordering contacts. Two weeks later I had to pay full price for my contacts because someone assumed my insurer helps pay for contacts yearly. If anyone is wondering, it costs over 200 dollars if they recommend you dont use insurance. (exam/6 month supply) -a poor college student

If you are use to stylish/trendy frames do not go here. It took me forever to make a decision, because of the limited selection. After a few days I noticed one of the hinges was loose in a place that couldnt be tighten. I took the glasses back and a associate said that all glasses are like that and was upset when I wanted to return them. This will be my first and last pair from there. However, the Doctor was awesome, very thorough.

I was talked into buying 8 boxes of contact lenses for a rebate, and only when I got home to look at the rebate that they provided did I see that it actually expired 2 weeks earlier. When I called and spoke with the manager about whether they had an up-to-date rebate, they were extremely rude and unhelpful since the sale was "final". I will be taking my business elsewhere next time.

I was very happy with the service and price I got. Then I realized I had picked out frames I didnt really like. I told them that I was going to take advantage of the "second pair half off" to get something I liked better and they said they wanted me to be happy so they are replacing them FOR FREE! They even helped find me the perfect frames. You know Ill be going back.

They were okay. They helped, somewhat. My insurance covered most of everything. Although, the optometrist was slightly loopy and didnt pay attention to detail. From my experience, I have noticed that they are not experts on anything eye related at this particular ValuVision location...so I would suggest looking for something a little more professional.

I love this place. I was able to get a sane-day appointment. The receptionist was friendly and the doctor was thorough. The store is clean and has tons of frame options. The floor manager is awesome, truly. He helped me understand details of my bill, made suggestions on how to lower my bill, and gave super helpful advice on frame selections.

The woman at the eye exam desk was so rude to me that I walked out. She refused to tell me how long it might take, just that it might be a long time. I asked her how many people total were waiting and she said that if she told me that would be breaking hippa... OMG really? She interrupted me and I felt like such a burden. Awful!

My husband went to get some glasses. they say they have a two for one sale. buy one get another of equal or lesser value for the price of one. then they say that only applies if you do not have insurance. what kind reasoning is this!! and also what kind business practice is this?
