I purchased my vehicle back in July. I picked up my tags within the next month, showed ID and signed for it. Yesterday I was pulled over because my tags were registered as stolen. I call the Drivetime location where I purchased the vehicle and was told that I took the wrong tags, I explained to him (Michael) that I didn’t take anything I was handed by them the wrong plate and registration. Michael told me he found my tags and registration after 30 minutes of sitting on the side of the road with three police officers, then he informed me that someone will be bringing me my correct tags at my current location right away. I explained to him how upset I am and that I should be compensated for my time because I am supposed to be at work, he said that it was my fault, that I should’ve checked it before I left. Every single one of my calls on my cell phone is automatically recorded, I have saved this conversation because I couldn’t believe he was blaming me (the customer) for their mistake. After an hour and half later, I received my tags. I then went over to Drivetime and asked to speak to the store manager (David) he apologized after I informed him how rude Michael was to me. I explained to David how I can’t rap my mind around that I signed for those tags but yet they reported it stolen and they said they didn’t audit. So they file to metro for stolen tags when they believe it’s missing without auditing the most common sense to start which is the log of picked up tags? The officer told me that he could confiscate my car if he metro told him to. I had my 6 year old son in the car with me and they could’ve confiscated the vehicle that I purchased with my money on the side of the road and all I get is I’m sorry and excuses as to how unorganized they are. I would never recommend Drivetime to anyone.

So... I purchased a car from Drive Time out in Rivergate less than 13 months ago. Unfortunate for me it has regurgitated my money since Ive owned it. First day I owned it it had to go into the shop for over a week for repairs with the ignition system and for a brake system over haul due to the unsafe conditions my caliper rotors and pads were in. Since then this car has been in the shop a combined 10 times for major repairs excluding oil changes totaling $2912 in repairs. Ignition, brakes, water outlet housing, 4 failed attempts at aligning my car which eats tires every 8,000-10,000 miles, rear struts, and now a transmission failure which has repaired by placing a used transmission in my car with a guestamate of 57,000-60,000 miles on it from the previous unspecified vehicle. After receiving my car back from the transmission shop it was immediately returned due to transmission fluid smells coming from the ventilation system as well as a leak and transmission slippage. Picked it up yesterday and today it continues to have transmission fluid smells come from the ventilation system and still leaks as well as continued transmission slippage. After numerous trips to repair shops with this vehicle I have discovered the subframe, front struts, front control arm bushings, and rear control arms need to be replaced due to the amount of rust that has chewed away at this car. I warn all of you to not get a vehicle from that dealership, their warranties are crap and the rental car program is a scam. I am currently seeking advice from anyone with knowledge of lemon laws. I will be following up with a lawyer in which I have contacted. My next stops are the BBB and any local news station that wants to look into it.

If I could give this place a negative number I would. My husband has had an account with these people since 2013. They werent so bad until they switched to Bridgecrest. Well, we got behind but then we started making payments online. Last November, we tried to trade the car in at Miracle Chrysler in Nashville, TN. Well, they informed my husband and I that our car had been "repossessed" since last August. I advised him that was impossible because we drove the car to Chrysler! We went outside and showed him and he told us that we need to dispute it. So I called Drivetime and they said they never received payment, which we did pay and we had receipts! So I told them they wouldnt get another cent out of us until it was taken off as a repossession. Since then, we have been trying to trade the car in and all 3 places that Ive went to told us that it was marked down as a repossession. Ridiculous! So I called them today August 21, 2017 and the man told me that it wasnt marked down as a repossession, it was just a charge off. Then why is everyone saying it is a repo? He even informed me that he knew the car was in an accident in July of this year, which I told him all the damage. So they know our address, phone number, and everything. Not once have they tried to reach us, they just keep it as a repossession. So I told him to come get it. He said he doesnt know why they havent came to get it. But his manager is supposed to be giving me a call in a few hours. So, my advice, print out all receipts and never ever trust these people!

Initial review was 5 stars, but had to edit and deduct two stars due to issues with the car. Day I bought the car... Very easy. Bill was awesome! I was in and out in a few hours from start to finish. Took very little time, no hassle approach, they worked with me with $500 down, and I would recommend them over every other dealership in town. Great experience and they got it done. Great place to do business with! :-) Update After 30 days... I had numerous issues with the car that shouldve been taken care of before I left the lot. While their 30 day warranty covered everything from top to bottom of the car, it was very frustrating to only drive the car one week out of the first three. In addition to that the warranty company they use called Averex was very frustrating to work with and at times seemed more interested in arguing with me versus getting the car fixed and the issues taken care of. The car is now fixed and runs great, so the warranty was honored but it was like pulling teeth with the warranty company. Originally gave it five stars but had to deduct 2 stars due to the car issues and difficulties I had that wouldve been caught had the car had a better inspection and more attention to detail before it was put on the lot. Just some areas that they can improve on to get a five star rating.

Had a fantastic experience! Saw a 2013 Jeep online the night before I visited the dealership, it had just arrived and wasnt even on the lot yet. They immediately found out where it was (it was at the mechanic being cleaned and checked out) and took me straight there to pick it up. They let me hold it on layaway for just $50! I came back the next day and completed my purchase hassle-free. The Jeep was priced exactly at blue book value, came with a great warranty, and they have a great option to restructure your loan and add more to your down payment in 60 days to improve your interest rate. We were very impressed, would recommend to anyone! Our credit scores are *awful* and we still got our first-choice vehicle with a very small down payment. We are so happy. Thank you Mike McCabe it was an absolute pleasure to deal with you, and Chris Blakely was happy to help us complete what Mike had started when we came back. They are not like typical car salesmen trying to cut each others throats, and that really impressed us. The manager and other employees were also super nice and helpful. Thank you again!
