Cracker Barrels are, for the most part, consistent. You know what you ate going to get and there isnt much of a difference in quality of food and service from one store to the next. This location, however, is the exception. Ive been here on four separate occasions and Ive been dissatisfied every single time. Just an example - I called ahead and placed a carryout order for bacon and eggs. I arrived 5 minutes later and proceeded to wait 35 minutes....for bacon and eggs. It wasnt even busy. No apology. On another occasion my wife stopped in and ordered an apple dumpling. She paid and waited over 20 minutes before she was told that they dont have anymore apple dumplings. They flippant told her to order something else. When she asked for a refund instead, the cashier acted put off. Unbelievable. Avoid this location if you are in Knoxville. Go to Campbell Station, Strawberry Plains or Merchant Drive.

Comically bad. When we ate here we had three waitresses going from table to table asking if they had ordered the food in their hands. All three of them had plates full of food in their hands. They somehow had lost track of which tables had ordered what in the restaurant and literally three tables had the wrong food placed in front of them at the same time. I would excuse that as a fluke but the communication between the waiters made it apparent that this was not a one-off thing. The food wasnt even that good and the prices were high. And out of personal preference the tourist shop in the front of the restaurant where you have to wait in line to pay is a bit trashy. I dont see any reason to go here, unless you have some sentimental connection with Cracker Barrel. On a positive note the peg game is fun.

Go to a different location !The great thing about cracker barrel is that their food is consistent . However, this cracker barrel is consistent at making mistakes . When you point it out they offer an apology. No replcement. I stood outside the door of this cracker barrel today and joked about the consistency of screw ups with to go orders. . I just arrived home to find a puddle of ice cream in my cobbler.Call it intuition. Who places ice cream in hot cobbler . I have a bowl of mush. Last week they left out the ice cream .The Manager said he doest give ice cream to go. Apparently that was a policy introduced that day when he punched in. THE SUNDAY PRIOR they left out a meal all together . Today i left a fourteen dollar tip on a 40 dollar ticket and arrived home with fruit mush with milk .

We eat here a few times a month. They can be quite busy on weekend days, but we usually dont have to wait longer than 20 minutes those days. Most days seating is right away. Usually our server comes up quite quickly and take our order right away. The kitchen can be a bit slow and its not always consistent (for example, some days the steak and pork chops are seasoned perfectly, other they dont seem seasoned at all). The wait staff are very friendly and our order is almost always correct (we do a couple substitutions so thats definitely worth noting). Its not a great spot for quick food, but it is a good spot for homestyle comfort food.

Worst place I have been to eat in years... Service was slow, though they were not busy. The waiter did not even come by and refill our drinks. Did not bring out the corn bread we asked for. Messed up my salad order then instead of taking it back and fixing it the manager came to the table with the stuff that the salad should have had on it in 4 little ramekins. Like here you go, sorry we gave you the wrong salad but here is the stuff that would have been on there if we would have given you the right one. WTF is that? I dont think I will be going back to another Cracker Barrel for quite some time.

The quality of ingredients used at Cracker Barrel in general, I believe, has gone down tremendously. Unfortunately, it was poorly prepared as well. The casserole was dry, the sausage and bacon were overdone, and the scrambled eggs were tasteless. The service was what Id expect, but I cant knowingly spend money on poor food just because Cracker Barrel serves breakfast daily. Ive had fresher, cheaper, and tastier meals at Waffle House, which is where Ill be heading in the future for my breakfast-at-lunch fix.

Im writing this while sitting at the table 30 mins into waiting for our food after they said it would be out in 10 mins. So far we have waited 50 mins on a Saturday evening at 630. The place is dead, there is no excuse for this. Our drinks are slow to be refilled, the table was so sticky we had to use baby wipes to clean it even after we asked to have it wiped down! Our 2 year old is going nuts waiting for his food and the biscuits were as hard as rocks! This place is dead for a reason! It sucks!

I ordered breakfast here like I always do at any other CB. It was dinner time and my wife ordered fish which she had a few weeks prior at the CB in Ooltewah Tn. It was fantastic there but this time it was barely cooked and spongy. The bacon on my plate was not cooked either. It was like they pulled it from the pack drug it across the fryer while it never left their hand. I wont be returning!! Lucky to have made it without food poisoning ☠ in my book. Eat at your own risk!

We were greeted promptly and seated quickly, but then sat and waited for over 5 min before any server talked to us. The manager took our order after noticing the one of the servers did not talk/greet us. Another server brought out our drinks for us, which was wrong. I ordered sweet tea and got unsweetened tea. The food came out a little later. It was not hot, only warm. The food looked like something that had been sitting out all day, not freshly prepared.

6 employees. Including 2 managers and 2 outside. Who all had on headsets..... Completely ignored my wife and I as we stood at the front for someone to seat us. They were all watching and talking about the rain. One manager walks right by us to stare out the window with the other employees. We ended up walking out after standing there for 10 minutes. Never go here when it is raining because its too much for the staff to handle.

My husband and I tried to eat lunch at this location, but the 4 employees working the front of the store were too busy watching the rain to come seat us. Finally, a manager walked by and we had hoped he would have us seated but he also ignored us and walked to the door to watch the rain. It is safe to say we will not be returning to this location. They seem to not care about their customers.

The worst breakfast I ever had at a CB. The eggs were cold , my sausage undercooked, the blackberries so bitter I couldnt eat them and the pancakes were cooked on one side. The positives the server was great and the blueberries in the pancakes were good. The manager took care of my check. Hopefully they get there issues.fixed I have eaten there many times and never had a problem.
