Inexpensive groceries & wine. One of the best secrets in town, and Im amazed when people dont know about it. I save a $1 or more on many items, and fresh produce is always cheaper! Avocados are sometimes .39!!! You have to bring your own shopping bags to pack things to your car, or use the often provided cardboard boxes the store uses, but why not? They cut costs by having less display & fancy shelving, and you must pack your own groceries (no assistance). They also only take cash or debit cards. But its so worth it. Lots of their products are organic and so much cheaper than any other grocery store chain around. YOU MUST TAKE A QUARTER to get a shopping cart from the corral. Keep one in your car for this purpose.

Great prices! When you go there,make sure you have a quarter, which you can use to get a shopping cart. The reason they do this is for you to give incentive so shoppers would bring the carts back. Bring your own tote bags for your groceries. Shoppers are expected to pack their own groceries into their bags. If you dont have your own bag, you can get some of the boxes on the floor. Their selection is a bit limited, though, particularly the detergents, cleaners and other stuff. One reviewer said that they only accept cash and debit card. But they DO ACCEPT credit cards, too.

Aldis is generally less expensive than Walmart. They have a number of items all the time, and we like quite a few of their store generic brand items. Cons are that you have to bring your own bags or pay for some, many of the items arent consistent, you bag yourself, and you use a quarter to get a cart. The quarter is returned when you return the cart. But, the cons are the way they keep their prices low, which is the big pro for this place!

Small, German grocery franchise. While huge in Germany, here it is set up much like a Save-A-Lot. Bring your own bags or buy them cheap at the store. You bag your own items. While it is a German company and you can find a limited amount of German foods, it is mostly American items.

I love aldi especially now that we get get alcohol here. The staff is always kind and helpful, and the shelves are always stocked. Its nice when you forget your quarter and the person at the cash register is willing to let you borrow one from them.
