I generally dont make large purchases without researching what I want for some time. This was the case for me when I went in. I had narrowed my choices down to 2 Sig custom shop 229s. I had tried several places in the Nashville area and nobody stocked them. I pretty much had resigned myself to buying the less expensive of the 2 and paying a ton for tax, trasfer, and backgroung. Every other place was basically "buy what we have here or go somewhere else". So I tried one more place since I was in the area anyway and Im glad I did. I was somewhat apprehensive when looking at the inventory which consisted of mostly used autos, some new revolvers, and big bores. I was immediatley asked what I was looking for and I told them Sig 229. The fist person I talked to behind the counter said the only had 1 Sig in stock. He showed it to me, a used 250. Obviously pretty far from what I was looking for. Before I had to ask, the other gentleman behind the counter said "we can probably order whatever you want". This was the first time someone had offered this option not waited for me to ask. This was Phillip the owner, he made a quick call and checked on both pistols I was looking for. I was pretty suprised when he wrote the prices on the back of one of his cards. They were "out the door" and inline with the best pricing I could find online. I thought about it for 2 minutes and made my decision to buy. For $25 more it was overnighted and I had my new pistol the next day. Phillip and his staff got me what I wanted, underbudget, and quickly. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking to make a gun purchase. You will deffinately get the best deal and service Ive found in Nashville.

I try to get by Goodlettsville Gun Shop once a week. The guys there know their guns, but more importantly, they are gun lovers, which means they are passionate about anything gun related and always enjoyable to talk to. The super simple out-the-door pricing on everything makes purchasing decisions really easy and, yes, they will give you a very reasonable price which often beats any Internet pricing available without FFL hassle (but if you want FFL, they are reasonable about that too). Because the secret of how great this place is has been getting out, they are moving stock really fast, so it is best to monitor their Facebook page often or give them a call about anything you are looking for in particular. GGS will continue to be my go-to local gun shop because they have a winning combination that others in the area cannot or choose not to beat - excellent, personalized service with a good selection and almost impossible to beat pricing.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Dont let the entrance scare you. When you walk in, youre in a metal cage. They buzz you in. It can be a little intimidating. But once youre in, youre treated to a warm and honest welcome from staff who know what theyre talking about. When I explained to the counter person that I was looking for a handgun his first reaction was, "Let me see how big your hands are..." and then asked "Which hand are you?" From there he skipped over 90% of the guns and pointed out four that he felt would fit well and be comfortable for me as a lefty. He was spot on. A week later I tested out those models at a local shooting range and found that the first one he suggested was an absolute perfect fit for me. They dont have a huge selection, but if you want it or need it, ask and theyll do their best to get it for you.

I went thru the permit class here years ago. I still drop by looking for any deals on guns or whatever else they have. While Im there I ask about anything that may have changed in the permit carry laws and Phillip fills me in. They also have a "make a offer" box that they put things in at a set your own price basis. I offered the guy a dollar for this holster in the box and he took it. This holster was worth about $20, feels great to get a deal and Ive got a lot of deals here! The staff makes you feel like your talking with friends and that helps when asking questions. I send my friends to see Phillip and the guys at Goodlettsville Gun Shop!

I shopped all over town for my son a gun this Christmas. He was coming home from being deployed and I really wanted to get him something neat. I decided on an M4 style rifle. After making calls and driving everywhere I found this little place. They are simply awesome! They beat everyones price by almost $200 and they suprisingly had them in stock and had the best price I could find on it. Dont be fooled by other stores that think they have everything but dont and cant produce any customer service to find what you want. Anyway these guys at Goodlettsville Gun Shop are honest and sincere and will get all my future firearms biz! A+++++

I recommend this place if you need to do a FFL transfer or gunsmithing. They basically have a selection of used guns and other accessories, so if you are looking to browse for new guns this is not a place to go. I took my rifle for gunsmithing, they fixed my problem in about 30 minutes and didnt even charge me. They just told me to come back the next time I needed a gun. The gunsmith at "Guns & Leather", which is the first place I called, was an a$$hole and wanted to charge me $60. I recommend Goodlettsville Gun Shop, they believe in customer service here.

This is a customer service driven business that goes beyond the others to insure satisfaction. The staff is knowledgeable about a wide variety of firearms and and firearm related experience. They care about the customer and their needs and are not just focused on the next sale. They are a resource long after the purchase for cleaning and even shooting tips. It is a welcoming environment for all types of folks who want to learn and be involved in the shooting and self protection genre. Its always been my first choice and they have never let me down.

Stopped in and bought a 1938 Mosin Nagant 91/30. Absolutely the most beautiful Mosin Ive seen. The guys behind the counter were TOP NOTCH. Courteous, funny, and enjoyable to talk to while waiting on the background check to go through. Great deals and great guys. Worth whatever trip you have to make to deal with great businessmen.

I do all my transfers through the Goodlettsville Gun Shop. Phillip Arrington and his staff are pros! My wife and I took our TN concealed carry course through them, and weve purchased many firearms from them over the years. Ive been dealing with these guys for 17 years, and theyve never let me down...not once. Great service!

Its a bit small, but the people here are helpful, and knowledgeable. They will process transfers that require background checks. Their prices are very competitive and they will usually beat their competitors pricing as long as they have what youre looking for.
