Checked out Guns & Leather after it was recommended to me by a friend. It is definitely the best gun shop in the area...best indoor shooting range too. You know that "gun store attitude" that you get at some places? Almost like an air of superiority that the folks behind the counter have? There is no sign of that at Guns & Leather...finally, a gun shop I can be happy about spending my hard-earned money at!! The staff is very friendly and helpful; it is obviously a family-owned store, and they really seem to care about having your business. The selection of guns/gear is very good...I have been in much larger shops that didnt have as good a selection. Prices are also very fair. The indoor range is the best Ive seen in the Nashville area...computer controlled targets = very cool. Also a BIG plus in my book that they dont force you to pay a membership fee just to shoot for an hour...they also dont force you to use their ammo if youre not a member. There is an indoor range down in Franklin that could learn a lot from Guns & Leather... i.e. "dont take advantage of people." Prices for the range are the cheapest Ive seen at any indoor range, and its the best one Ive ever shot at. Took the carry permit class yesterday...also a great experience. The instructor, Warren was great. Put everyone, experienced or inexperienced at ease...great class. If youre going to take the carry class, take it at Guns & Leather. Bottom Line = this is the best gun shop in the area...worth the drive. These folks deserve your business!!!

My husband bought a pistol there and I will let him tell you about it. I bought a ACCU-TEK 380, used, every one was helpfull service was great. When I took the gun to the indoor range the next day I noticed that one mag did not feed properly and the gun would jam. I took this problem to the sales rep and asked to see the gusmith. When I talked to him his statement was "through the clip in the river", he doesent repair them. So I went to the store again ant asked hem to replace it they said they would be glad to do this for $32.00. In other words they sell you junk and you can pay to fix it or buy the parts your self. Its the last dime I will spend in that ripoff joint ever, they stand behind nothing they sell. STAY AWAY FROM GUNS & LEATHER. Its the clip joint of all clip joints. Paul Sickels

I like everything about this place except for the staff management. My friends and I come to the shooting range a lot and my only real gripe with the place is that you can go in with everything you need to shoot, ready to hand them money, and youll stand at the register for 30 minutes before anybody comes to help. If they had one person to do nothing but watch the range cams and run the register, I believe it would flow nice and smooth... Weve walked out because we waited so long. All that being said, the staff are always busy. They work hard, theyre knowledgeable, they are helpful in every way and I like em... Theyre just one man short if you ask me.

I have taken my right to carry here years ago. They was great! But I put a new gun on Layaway a few weeks ago , I picked it up August 6th . The gun was the Judge. I wanted the 3 inch chamber. Well got home shot it once and it jammed. It was the 2 and 1/2. I called up , they told me to come in the next day, they said they would make me happy? Well I went in ,they replaced my gun with the right gun. Waved the extra cost and gave me 2 more free gun range passes. These guys was super nice and respectful! My wife and I have bought many guns through the Internet with them too. They will definitely get more business from us!

I am surprised at a few of the low reviews here, this store seems to be a good bargain. Its true that at times they get so busy that they have to pick and choose whom they are going to spend their time with, just like any business. They take care of dedicated customers and the prices are reasonable. The guys are not "elitist" they simply dont waste time trying to butter up people who want to purchase a cheap used gun. Many of the staff are former military or law enforcement, and my best recommendation is to call and set up an appointment during non-rush hours if you are new to the gun world.

great store, huge inventory, especially for experienced shooters, no hard time about transfers, plus they handle NFA transfers like the experts they are. nice selection, fair prices, much better than anything here in Nashville, or anything the wolves in Franklin could ever do on a good day. Ive got 4 gun shops w/in 10 minutes of me, I still drive to G&L to be treated like a human with zero bad attitude or BS.Shop around then call here, they will usually price match on new guns They make firearm purchases fun! Plus you get a free range pass w gun purchases!!

Ive purchased multiple weapons from here, but after the past few times ive visited the store, I will never go back. Everyone is pretty nice, some nicer than others, except for Mr. Mark Crabtree. His POOR attitude towards me and several friends of mine as well, have led us to never return there. Also, theyre now over-priced (369.99 for a remington 870 express, 299.99 for the exact same model at academy sports), some of the "new" guns looks like theyre been fired multiple times or tossed around. Never again will I shop there.

Ive purchased rifles here before. Came in today to purchase suppressors. Yeah. More than one. First guy didnt acknowledge I even walked in. When I did get noticed standing at the counter the ONE guy who deals with suppressors "just left for lunch" came back an hour later and he had "just started eating". He did not demonstrate a good level of knowledge on the current and changing laws. And didnt have any in stock. Jerk staff. Not a good place to get advice. You just lost my business to outpost armory.

Ive been around to pretty much every Gun Shop near Nashville, and this shop is the best. Retail prices are very, very competitive, and they give a fair trade-in value (dont expect retail on your trade from any shop, but these guys are fair). Seem to be honest and helpful. Their receipts are great since they put serial numbers of guns traded and purchased. Makes record keeping easy. They also have a very good inventory. Last, but not least, the indoor range is very nice. Highly recommend them.

My son and I completed our carry class this past Saturday. Great instructor! Made the class entertaining and fun with personal reflections! The gun range is the best that I have seen. Very nice. The store had plenty of ammo and a good variety of long guns and pisols. I had no problem with this store and would recommend it to anyone.

Just fninshed shopping here. Absolute pleasure doing business with these guys. I had never been in the store before and was a bit leary do to some of the reviews. I got a fantastic deal on a new pistol and the staff went out of their way to help me. The folks that had a bad experience must just be crabby people. I highly recommend them.
