Experience with LensCrafters: Not Acceptable. Text below describes it all, but the "one star" is ONLY for LensCrafters. Summary: H.D. Calvert M.D. & Associates (Eye doctor adjacent to the Cool Springs Lenscrafters): Front of house processes need work. Back of house (where it really matters) was great. Cool Springs Lenscrafters next door: Took less than 5 minutes to anger me to the point I wont buy glasses there. Big mistake, Lenscrafters. Huge. Explanation: Eye doctor, front of house: I made an appointment online for 10AM. Got an automated email confirmation, asking me to arrive 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork. No sweat. I arrive 10 minutes early, to find the door locked and the lights out. Employees are arriving, and seeing me standing there, but they go in, can close the door behind them without a word to me. Finally someone arriving at least says something like, "We open in a few minutes at 10", at which point I remind her I was instructed to arrive 10 min early, and ask if they are going to leave me standing out here, or at least let me come in and sit". Only then do they let me in to start the paperwork. SMH! NOTE: They dont dilate and the papers you sign authorize them to upcharge you for services (like retinal imaging) that they deem needed. I wrote on my paper that I wanted prior notice before any up-charged services were applied. I was going to pay for retinal imaging anyway, but asking me to preapprove whatever they want to do is bogus. Eye doctor, back of house: Mike took over and was extremely friendly and efficient. He kindly explained the upcharge for the retinal imaging, and I happily agreed to it. He used all the needed equipment, including the Clarifye bits to conduct my exam quickly and apparently effectively. After that, I only waited about a minute for Dr. Selinda Van Dell to see me. She was patient, and thorough, answering all my questions, except "P.D." which is the distance between pupils. She gave me what the machine estimated it to be but said they dont do that, and referred me to Lenscrafters next door which would. (You have to have the P.D. in order to purchase glasses online if desired). I specifically asked to walk out of there with copies of all my records (not just the prescription) and digital copies of the retinal imaging. Mike made all that happen, except for the P.D., and he walked me to Lenscrafters. Lenscrafters: The guy asked me what I wanted. I told him I wanted to know about the specials and get my P.D. measured. He said, that "P.D. is something we measure to get glasses going, but we dont just do that independently", then stood there silently. I asked, "Are you going to tell me about the promotions?" He spend 20 seconds or less on this then stood there silently. This treatment made me feel a bit like Julia Roberts character in "Pretty Woman" being snubbed while shopping on Rodeo Drive. I excused myself and walked back over to the eye doctors office. Mike saw me and helped me immediately. I politely told him the situation and that I thought this was B.S. He went next door, got the ruler, sat me down, and in 5 minutes or less had my P.D. measured for me. Simple. I was going to shop around no matter what, but would have probably given Lenscrafters the business for the convenience factor, personal touch, and affiliation with the doctors office. As a responsible consumer, I certainly was NOT going to let Lenscrafters try to KEEP me from shopping around!! Bad move, Lenscrafters. Overall the experience with H.D. Calvert M.D. & Associates was good, though. I will probably be back to them.

They are the worst!! Never order glasses here. I ordered glasses 7/21/17, and they told me it would be 7 days to get them. 8 days go by with no call. I call in and they tell me "oh sorry...they should have told you it would be 10 days" 11 days go by and still no call. I call back and its "oh this is special order it will be 14 days" today is day 18 and still no call from them ever. I call them again and they say "sorry theres a delay. Dont know why. They should ship on 8/19." Thats 30 days for a pair of glasses they sold to me under the impression I would get in a week. The worst part is they never even called me to say hey we know youre waiting on these, heres whats going on with them. They clearly dont care at all about customer service. At least they gave me a refund....supposedly. Just save your money and time and go somewhere else. I think there is a visionworks in the same mall.

I got a text message last night saying that my eye wear was ready to be picked up and to "stop in anytime". I checked their store hours and it is from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm. I took an early lunch from work and drove 30 minutes to get them just to be told that they could not give them to me. The reason was because the optometrist was no in yet and wouldnt be there until 11 am. Complete waste of my time. I replied to their text message and let them know that they should change the wording of their message and do away with the "stop in anytime" part as it is misleading. Last time I will ever use LensCrafters again. Not to mention that they did away with glasses in about an hour, which is why I went to them to begin with - web search for that specific topic recommended them.

I was taken back right on time, was a quick appointment the Dr. was nice and very knowledgeable. They had a good selection of frames, great specials and had my frames ready for me in an hour that same day. Received amazing customer service, David Parks helped me pick out frames and lenses and I made a good decision. :-)

I called to explain why I needed an appointment and the woman that answered the phone was BEYOND rude. She cut me off mid sentence then asked me a question that I was JUST ABOUT to go over. Maybe if she wasnt so rude and cut me off, she wouldve known. HORRIBLE customer service!
