Clarksville gets it first "specialty coffee shop." Please, hold your applause till the end. As a native Clarksvillian (trust my ethos!) who currently attends school in Minneapolis (where nearly every shop is high-end), I was excited to find Plumb Line on the map. This place will be the catalyst to many more, mark these words. Introduction aside, I enjoyed my first experience at Plumb Line. The pour over I purchased (pour overs are usually a good starting test for specialty shops) was delightful. The specific roast and geography of the bean was something like: Ethiopian, with hints of blueberry and chocolate notes. 5/5 Atmosphere: incandescent hip lights, wood stuff, dimly lite, cozy, et cetera, whatever. Price? This is where I take a star away. Plumb Line may have their monopoly on this particular demographic, namely, university students who will pay $6(tip not included!) for a pour over just to study, but they wont have it for long. Soon enough, other coffee entrepreneurs will seize the day and win over the hearts of their peers by offering the same experience but with better prices. I mean, even in Minneapolis, the highest end shops are priced better, tip included. But, hey, supply and demand, right? Verdict? Slow clap

Absolutely impressed by this local, third-wave coffee shop. 1 - Flavor: The baristas are quite meticulous in creating each drink with care. They are well trained, servant-minded, and considerate. I had the macchiato with seltzer water and it was pulled perfectly. They offered several espresso options for the more refined pallet. The breakfast sandwich I had (with a biscuit, bacon, and egg) was really enjoyable as well. It balanced a sweet and savory tooth for me. 2 - Atmosphere: It has a clean, rustic, and modern feel. I absolutely love the Edison bulb lighting and white washed barn wood. It was relaxing, yet bright enough for me to get work done and focus. The table layout of the place is comfortable and absorbs sound well, so it wasnt too loud for me. 3 - Service: Workers were kind, considerate, and checked back with me on my drink. They were conversational and professional. 4 - Cleanliness: I couldnt find a speck of dust or dirt anywhere, which shows they really care about their product and store. Overall, this is a great location, just off the university campus with a powerhouse atmosphere. I would highly recommend checking it out!

So, I drove past this place yesterday and took notice of the outside decor. I made a mental note to check it out. Today, my boyfriend and I decide to get our caffeine fix and feel this place out. The inside decor is trendy and fun. The owners are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We order our drinks and a lemon poppy seed muffin for my toddler and wait. Man, this guy is an artist. He crafted quite possibly the best drink I have ever had in my life. I had a dirty chai latte iced, and let me tell you, I will never drink another chai latte from any other place but this one. My boyfriend got an iced latte and it was phenomenal. You could actually taste the different flavors from the coffee. They ruined me by showing me what chai and coffee are supposed to taste like. Worth every single cent. I will be back, frequently.

Bill and Jenn, the owners, are two pretty incredible folks. If you speak about a "a return to intentional community" in the US, the Plumb Line environment is what you must consider. They care about each customer as much as they care about each cup of coffee. Clarksvillians: this is your PSA - get out of your house, patronize this great local business, get your taste buds blown away by a good pour over or latte, and have some quality conversation with YOUR community members. You might just change the world in the process.

Plumb Line has excellent coffee. They offer drip coffee, pour over, cold brew, nitro, and traditional esspresso drinks. They also have teas, both cold and hot, and some sweets and baked goods. Their pour over and espresso is seasonal and changes which keeps the options fresh so you never get bored. The only disadvantage to this is that some of the more amazing coffees are only there for a limited time. This isnt much of a problem though because it means you can try some of the many amazing other options they have.

Absolutely everything on the menu is amazing. I have yet to feel the need to add sugar to any of my drinks and the pastries are to die for. Just had their Cuban and it was like drinking liquid smoothness. The chia will always be my favorite though with its authentic spiciness and fresh flavor

I love Plumb Line coffee! The lattes are my favorite, superb to say the least! It leaves you wanting more! They have a quiet and calm atmosphere with kind staff. I recommend this place to any coffee lover! Dont drive to Nashville..come on over to Plumb Line in Clarksville!

Plumb line coffee shop gives you a warm and artisan-crafted ambiance with supremely choice third wave coffee that far supersedes your average cup-a-joe. If you want to taste excellence, do yourself a favor and go in and order a whiskey caramel latte.
