Having your first newborn can be extremely daunting. Especially when you are trying to get your baby registry together. My wife and I were stuck in the stroller aisle, trying to figure out how to detach the baby seat from a stroller. We had to ask a couple 10 years younger than us to help us. Hopeless. Thats when Korbin showed up and asked if we needed help. God yes. He patiently went around the store with us for the next hour and a half pointing out necessities, showing how they worked and giving us his honest opinion. We could not have done it without him. Heaps of praise for this man. I think they moved him back to HR now but just ask for him and they will pull him out! Since then we have been back to the store multiple times. Guess what? Every employee is extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgable. After the baby shower, I went back to buy the rest of items off the list. I met with Theresa who showed me all the discounts I could get (apply for the visa card -15% off, 10% off for closeout registry and plus price match on any item -whaaaaat?). I went around the store and got the remaining items. Mitch helped me with the hard to find items. Then the fun began. Who doesnt like shopping and deals? Thats when Taylor showed up. She and Theresa patiently spend the next hour with me making sure I got all the discounts for each item, looking up hard to find online items only, and even catching two mistakes I made while shopping and on my registry. All this while taking care of other customers as well. I spent four hours in that store and these two ladies were amazing! After I was done, Mitch helped me out loading everything in the car (my back was out). Hes the man! I think there is a tendency for people to write reviews only when things go bad. This has never been the case for me at this store. These employees really care about their customers (Theresa wants to see our baby when born) and they are very knowledgable about what they sell! Kudos to the manager for putting together such a great team at this store. We could not have done it without you!!

On Feb. 15th of this year, I THOUGHT I was having an awesome experience at your Irmo, SC Babies R Us location. The associate at the registry counter assisted me in making a fairly large purchase for the nursery. I am a first time mom and devastated to find out that my parents had to purchase a new crib in order to surprise me with a completed nursery. I originally purchased what I thought to be a 4 in 1 convertible crib... over the weekend while I was on vacation, my parents put the crib together only to discover its a mini crib. I would hope that someone helping 1st time moms would have realized that the crib and the mattress I purchased were not compatible items. In hindsight, I realize that she was rushed and there is not enough staffing in the registry department at this location. And to pour salt in the open wound, the associate I spoke with about returning it patronized me the whole time I was one the phone with her. If I knew the answers to the questions I was asking, I wouldnt have called. Come to find out today is day 90 and if I had the ability to drop what I was doing, the item is eligible for return. Im so disgusted by this whole experience that Im strongly considering canceling my registry because I cant step foot in one of your stores again. This is supposed to be a happy time in my life, but here I am on my 28th birthday at 31 weeks pregnant bawling my eyes out because of your poorly trained employees.

I have never had such awful customer service in my life. I will be going else where to finish shopping for our son. This store has completely turned my off of the RUs franchise. My husband and I went to the Babies R Us to purchase a crib for our son. We went to the "help desk" to start the process. After waiting 5 minutes for the lady to get off the phone, she finally acknowledged us. I informed her of the crib I wanted and without even letting me finish the sentence she asked what vehicle we drove. We took my mid-size SUV, knowing we needed the space for the crib. She completely dismissed us, saying it wont fit then turned her back on us. She refused to help us at all. Absolutely horrible. By the way, we bought the crib else where, for cheaper, and it fit with plenty of extra space left in my Xterra.

We had an excellent experience at this Babies "R" Us. The staff is always extremely helpful & constantly asking us if we need it. When it came to buying the final things we wanted off our registry, we used a registry completion coupon, tons of gift cards & also registered for the Babies "R" Us credit card for an addition discount. We had some trouble getting all of the discounts to come off properly, but the staff spent at least 45 minutes with us to help get the prices straight for the best possible deal & maintained a positive attitude throughout the entire experience. We were really impressed!

Usually, if I am buying a baby item it is because I absolutely have to. Babies dont really get interesting stuff. This place is nice and easy to navigate, waaaaaayyyy better off that its sister store, Toys R Us in the adjacent mall. Getting into the parking lot is a bit rough, not to mention having to dodge all the grandmas drunk driving around after hitting up the Outback Steakhouse.

Had expired baby food on the shelf (expired for at least one month). Brought to managers attention, not overly concerned. Discount signs mismarked on multiple items. First time in store and definitely will be my last time in store. Very disappointed!
