Well.....to put it nicely.....it was not good! After receiving an email from the HHI outlets stating if I "liked" the HHI Outlets on Facebook and if I took a reciept showing I spent over $50.00 to shopper services I would be given a $10.00 dollar gift card. My family and I have been going to the HHI outlets for at least the last 15 years. Our annual average purchases amount to roughly $200 to $300 dollars. Take that times just 15 and you have $3000.00 dollars. Which my wife tells me is being conservative.....she informed me that we spent roughly $700 dollars yesterday. So we go shopping yesterday and quickly are over the 50 bucks required to get the $10.00 gift card. So I head to shoppers services. I did notice signs at the outlet every 10 feet telling shoppers about the wonderful Facebook gift card offer. So obviously this is for EVERYONE, not just folks on their e-mail like I thought. I get my gift card from an older white lady with a liitle bit of issue. She appeared to act like no one showed her how to issue the gift cards. Then my sons girlfriend who lives away at college away from her family and has a job and spends her own money is treated like she is a 13 little girl....asking way too may senseless questions. So at this point, my son decided the 10 bucks was not worth the hassle! Both stated the lady was extremely rude. So we continue spending our money at the outlets and move on to the one farther away from the island. I tell my son (who attends college away from his parents and has his own job/money) to go the shopper services at this location and see if he can get the gift card without hassle. He quickly returns with the gift card and states the person was pleasant. Ok.....so in summery, lets review. One family at $3000.00 minus the 30 bucks in gift cards equals $2970. Add that to the 2-3 thousand families that shopped YESTERDAY and that aint too bad of a loss to Tanger to get people to shop more.....which we did after being treated poorly. So be careful how you market promotions and advise your employees on how to handle the offer so they dont come across looking like goofballs and possibly scaring customers away. Hopefully Tanger HHI can clean this problem up or end the promotion!

I have shopped here for over three years. It is a good place to find a decent bargain. You just have to shop around and not buy on impulse. That is what I have learned over the years. What I have noticed is that the best places to go to find great deals for men are Saks, Sketchers, Nike, and Wilson Leather. There is a lot of good stuff there. The other stores do not have the killer deals that I desire. Ralph Lauren and J Crew are awesome stores, but the deals are not great unless you go during key moments of the shopping season. Let me state that this is not an outlet to me. You are just smart enough not to pay the prices the rich people will in New York and other ritzy areas of the country. If a shirt was ninety dollars and is now selling for twenty dollars means it was overpriced to begin with. As far as the eateries go, they are all decent places to have a bite to eat. Every once in awhile Zoes Kitchens service is lacking, but the other places are pretty consistent.

Tried to use a gift card I was given for Christmas. After a little over an hour in the store and two phone calls later I ended up paying with a different for of payment. I went to Tanger CS to see if they would refund me the money from the card after showing proof of purchase. The CS rep. had to call the manager. The Manger was going to call the store I made the purchase at to see if they would rerun the transaction and refund my orginizing payment and apply the gift card. I walked to another store while she waited on an answer. When I came back the customer the rep. was still with the couple that was behind me in line. I waited and waited and waited while they had a conversation about how long the couple had lived in Hilton Head, where they came from , etc...... I finally just walked out. Never did any resolution and I still have the gift card I cant use until I drive 1 1/2 hours to the nearest Tanger Outlet.

Our family shops at the Tanger Outlet shops each year when we travel to Hilton Head Island. We love going there and feel like we get great bargains. The Tangerclub rewards program needs work. We shopped there several times the week of July 17, 2016. We went back on Thursday of that week to shop and cash in our rewards. We were told our purchases were still being processed. The clerk did total up some of our receipts and gave us the tote bag and a $15.00 coupon for the Ralph Lauren. As we were leaving early the next morning we would not be able to use our rewards. We were told the rewards are not redeemable online. We also dont have a Tanger outlet Mall near us in Louisville Ky. We were told the rewards expire at the end of the year. Another frustrating point, the coupons for some of the stores arent usable until next month. The program is difficult for consumers to use or gain actual rewards.

I live within 50 miles of Tanger Outlets so I am able to visit these fun stores when I need a special gift or want to treat myself - shopping great variety of good Brands and values is always a fun time for our frequent visiting family and friends too! I know to go check into the management office for special offers and promotions before hitting the stores---my best critique would be to highlight on website or at entry point the guest office, map & coupon service for the many short-term visitors to Hilton Head!! There are always curious shoppers when I am purchasing with coupons from digital or coupon book, and store personnel are usually not ambassadors who will tell paying cu$tomer$ to leave and go get enrolled at guest office.

Was looking for a variety of shoe stores, but found only Famous Footware. Would have liked to see a Naturalizer or other store that carries a wide variety of shoes in a variety of widths, (narrow -wide). Best shopping experience: Talbot - not only did I score great bargains, but the whole sales staff we probably the friendliest I have ever encountered! Bravo! A note to Pro Golf, however...you could learn a lot from the staff at Talbots! You did not make us feel welcome nor appreciated. Dont know why I keep coming back to you store year after year. Maybe because we were greeted warmly in every other store we visited, our expectations for this store were the same. Bummer!

I used to love to shop at the Tanger Outlets in Hilton Head. Over the years I have bought lots of things at great prices. However, most of the stores that I liked the most like, Koret, Naturalizer, Lenox and others are no longer here and have not been replaced by anything close. In Pigeon Forge, all of the stores that I mentioned except for Koret which is no longer in business are there plus they have Alfred Dunner. I wish that you had these in SC. I will have to say the salespeople at Leggs, Nine West and Ecco were super and well trained. If only you had, more variety in products.
