I recently(at the end of a MTB ride) realized my disc brakes were long over due for a change and tune up. I went to one bike shop that quoted me 10 days before they could get to it...I understand shops are busy during the summer, but I was hoping for better. I called NBX in East Providence, as I remembered NBX just expanded to that location. They told me they could have it fixed in a few days(before the Labor Day weekend), but have to bring the bike in to see if they had the right brand parts. I did, they didnt, but they called around and located the right parts while I waited. Short version, I had my bike back when I needed it(before the holiday) and it worked/ran perfectly! Price was reasonable. Very satisfied, and even though I have a friend in the business(operates a shop farther away from me) I will definitely use NBX again, in a pinch or whenever they are the most convenient. Nice job Matt, and others...

went there 3 times to tune up my bike and they told me the cost 120 $ i put down a deposit 60$ and was told to wait , got a call saying more stuff needed to be fix so i said sure fine so they price went up to 160 $ , came back again to pick up something different and also put another deposit 80 $ while i was there my balance was 80 $ so when they call for me to pick up my bike they didnt inform me they screw something up and they had to re do it and had to cost extra $ what ? more money for something they mess up which it was my father ended up talking to HELEN the "owner" who tells us they called us the price had changed when they never did so they basically try to screw me over i myself spent over 300 $ at this store also buying my dad a brand new bike 700 $ so thank EAST PROVIDENCE CYCLE for the shitty service and the rip off

Always had what I wanted in stock, which was great, except custom ordering is a nightmare. I was told within one week for my purchase, week went by so i stopped in, they said that it WILL (they emphasized will) arrive this week. Week went by, i stopped by and was told that its a custom order and usually takes longer than the week a normal purchase takes, but they failed to mentioned that originally. Finally after 3.5 weeks, it arrived, wrong items, but they managed to make due. They then charged me an extra 65 dollars, because the Original price that i paid, in full, had changed without my knowledge. Great place if you need a tire, tube, a chain, helmet, or other accessories...but the service was too poor for me to ever purchase something like a bike, a frame, wheels etc. Never again.

While I was riding the NBW Flattest Century yesterday the tensioning bolt on my Brooks Flyer snapped in two. I found NBX master mechanic Mike at the next rest stop to ask if he might have a spare saddle. Mike reached deep into a large box of spares to dig out not one, but two battered leather saddles. One had the desperately needed bolt which he quickly installed in my saddle to save the day. And all of this while maintaining a steady patter of advice and stories with others in need of minor repairs. Thanks you Mike, and thank you NBX for putting him out there for the event! PJ

I went into this shop just to see if I could find a jersey for an upcoming event. While "shopping" i.e. looking through their display items, I did find a discounted jersey that fit just right. Prior to going up to the register to pay for my items, I was verbally harassed by the owner (short older man about 56" with glasses, mostly white hair) several times while looking around. Being in the Hospitality Industry for about ten years has taught me that no matter what your prices look like, great service will keep guests coming back....Lesson to be learned, owner guy!!!

I recently visited this shop in hope of finding a good shop to go to when in a need of things for my bike. Unfortunately the sales people there mocked me when I struggled to get my helmet off due to the strap being stuck in my sunglasses. They sold me a tripometer that I later found out was for a childs bike. _They also wanted to charge me to install it on my bike. My family owns a buisness and this is not a way to gain customer loyalty. I strongly urge you to take your buisness elsewhere. This shop needs to go back to hospitality classes 101. Very disappointed...

It is the second time I shop at East Providence Cycle and I am very happy. Their products are good, not too expensive, and the people offer a great service. Yesterday I bought an add-on one-wheel bike for my son. I had problems assemblying it to my saddle post. I called the shop and was offer to bring the parts and have the work done for free. I always find the people happy and no pushy. I definitively recommend this place.

Good selection and knowlegeable service people. But like so many independent shops, they are unable to handle things well when busy, they make customers wait ... basically crummy customer service. And no, the Warren Ave location is not located on the East Bay Bicycle Path (though the Crescent View Ave location is open sporadically, apparently)

I have been going to EP Cycle for years until I had moved to N.C. I had a feeling that the attitude would get worse when NBX became the owner. I was right. Nobody even said, "Hello" or asked if I needed assistance. Just because I am a bigger guy, does not mean that I dont CycleI will keep my business in N.C.!

Good full service shop,I use Campagnolo equip on my ride which they not carry but will and have ordered for me. Staff and owner have great knowledge and are willing to service you. I know that regular customers have been allowed ride bikes while thier ride is down

I go in there to look at their selection, and then I buy everything I want online much cheaper. These guys are super expensive. Unless you are an absolute hardcore bike enthusiast, I would recommend skipping this store. Very pricey.

Happily shop here for my biking needs. Easy access from RIPTA. Have to say I dont see a bike rack for customers here, like I do at the Providence NBX shop. Not much parking. I wouldnt want to park the wheelchair lift van here.
