Who could ask for more from Providence Bicycle. Walked in early on a Sunday. Found knowledgeable (and more importantly, enthusiastic) sales staff, and because the store was a little quiet, and they knew I had come in from a long way off, they built up the bike I wanted and I was out the door in an hour. Its been along time since I had such a positive experience at a bike shop. And the bike itself? Fantastic. Cant say enough about the Future Shock system on this Specialized bike. Works exactly as advertised. All your leg energy goes into driving the bike, but the upper body is isolated from from any harshness getting translated into the bars, and on less than ideal pavement I was amazed at how the front end would stick to the road. I didnt have to worry about changing riding positions to stay comfortable. I will get a lot of miles out of this bike.

Just discovered Providence Bicycle. My girlfriend and i went there looking for a used bike. As we entered, an unreserved staff member promptly greeted us and began helping. As it turns out they only had a few used bikes at the time, all of which didnt fit our need. Not to be deflated, she suggested that a new bike was in the cards. After a quick thought about our price range and intended use, she showed us two bikes that fit our purpose. She also discounted them to suit our pockets. Following a quick test ride, we were sold. My girl was gleaming over her new Raleigh Venture, which makes me happy. All said and done, this shop is awesome, the staff is groovy, and ill certainly be back for my next ride. Thank you Providence Bicycle, keep jamming.

I went in looking for a new saddle because I was having a lot of pain & discomfort. The staff recommended a Terry saddle, because they make really good saddles. I bought it, and it was useless. After more research online, I discovered that what makes a saddle comfortable is whether it is the right width for your sit-bones. Having a poorly fit saddle can cause serious soft-tissue and nerve damage. I went to East Providence Bike and got measured and fitted and have been riding happy with my new saddle ever since. I will never go to Prov Bike again. You might as well shop at a big-box store...the level of knowledge of the staff here is on par!

Need a reliable, accessible, (yes, open on Sundays too), and local bike shop? Providence Bicycle employs dedicated (and nice) people who can offer expert counsel on specific equipment. Have a foot problem? They can coach on the best type of shoe. Need a special type of seat? They have a fitting tool for seats. They also have highly trained mechanics on staff. I have been very happy with their approach to get me on the right bike using the right equipment for my build and riding style. Here youll find carefully selected equipment at a fair price. Nice, helpful staff, fair pricing and superb equipment. What more do you need from a bike shop?

I went in for a new tire for my new wheel which my current road tire did not fit. I explained everything about my new wheel. I had asked if a 700x23 would be best. I was advised that, "We would have them in the other store." This was said to me as I was holding the tire of that size in my hand. Guess profiling is still a thing in East Providence. BIG guys of color cycle too!

Thank you to the kind man (forgive me for forgetting your name, even if I remember that you are a school administrator) who assisted us with our car bike rack this afternoon. My husband suffers from memory impairment, and I am trying desperately to get myself up to speed on things he used to take care of. You made a difference! Erica McKeown

Never a bad time at providence bicycle; the staff if very knowledgeable and helpful. Avoid Sundays if you need help with a purchase because they are almost always swamped despite being well staffed. Besides, you should be riding on Sunday anyway...

Really bad experience with Providence Bicycles. Was lied constantly by Justin and in the end service was never performed and nobody offered help to make things right. Avoid it if you can
